Yesterday we went to some poor families to provide food aid in the province of Najaf in Iraq, including the lost father who was killed by ISIS and our children are opening the door to us if the father does not exist, he went to fight ISIS and was killed or was angered by ISIS because he is Shiite. I wish I had seen it when I happened because, about 5 years ago, I was working with this guy whose sister was a high school teacher and their oldest brother was in afghanistan for nearly 2 years and he told me one day while her sister was giving a lecture to her class, some one knocked on the door and she went to see who it was and a few people came into the classroom and her brother walked in. She broke does in tears and hugged him. Her students applaud and cheered for her. Some of them even stand up as they clapped. It took her nearly 10 minutes to stop crying and she introduced her brother to the class. I don't know if it was recorded on video, but I'd like to see it. The brother I was working with was the younger one and thier sister was the youngest of them.

I get that having a loved one home is a joyous occasion because they're safe. But it's also when the loved one relinquishing a rush of pent up grief. It seems cruel to display that in front of an audience (the live one, not the one on youtube).
The last 2 clips made me kinda angry. A woman should never leave her kids. It's bad enough when the dad leaves for war but without a mother in their early year it is just horrific and the kids will never recover from that trauma. The very last clip was more annoying. The teachers did a terrible job of setting the room, introducing the situation to the other kids and hence lost a great opportunity to teach them about this aspect of life. Most of them were confused as to what the hell was going on and can you really blame them?

He passed away in the Marines when he was doing a quick operation, his helicopter was shot down killin everyone on board of 37 people and a military dog. All the things I will do to hear him say I love you. I wish I had seen it when I happened because, about 5 years ago, I was working with this guy whose sister was a high school teacher and their oldest brother was in afghanistan for nearly 2 years and he told me one day while her sister was giving a lecture to her class, some one knocked on the door and she went to see who it was and a few people came into the classroom and her brother walked in. She broke does in tears and hugged him. Her students applaud and cheered for her. Some of them even stand up as they clapped. It took her nearly 10 minutes to stop crying and she introduced her brother to the class. I don't know if it was recorded on video, but I'd like to see it. The brother I was working with was the younger one and thier sister was the youngest of them.

The last 2 clips made me kinda angry. A woman should never leave her kids. It's bad enough when the dad leaves for war but without a mother in their early year it is just horrific and the kids will never recover from that trauma.
The very last clip was more annoying. The teachers did a terrible job of setting the room, introducing the situation to the other kids and hence lost a great opportunity to teach them about this aspect of life. Most of them were confused as to what the hell was going on and can you really blame them?
