Wow. I came for the tutorial but this is should be a legit iPad commercial. I'm sold.
Haha! Well, thank you! I basically bought the entire iPad Pro/Apple Pencil combo for this one reason so I completely understand! It's amazing though and a huge time saver! Thanks for watching!
Looks like those letters are having a dancing competition, such a cute style! Thanks so much for the tutorial! 🙏🏻🖋😃🤩
What a great tutorial ! Besides , you teach pretty well . Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nayeli DeathKnight same! Too bad it’s only like a thousand dollars! 😅

Where can I find the line grid??
You have such a soothing voice

THANK YOU! Been watching hundreds of videos and no one is spilling on the brush! WHICH ONE?????😲
@@tmo6517 these are the brushes and they are free too :-) blog.radandhappy.com/blog/2016/4/21/procreate-app-brushes

Thank you! You are too nice! Thanks for watching!
hi, i love your video. could you please make a tutorial about your letters. i love your letter style very much.
Hi! What brush are you using in procreate? I loved it!
Victoria Toloza Cárcamo I have the same question!!!!
Just found it in the comments- she actually answered it for someone else before:
blog.radandhappy.com/blog/2016/4/21/procreate-app-brushes
i noticed you had your iPad at an angle, would you recommend having it at an angle for better lettering, or to have it straight and aligned with your body?
Which brush is this on Procreate app?
Wow that was sooooo helpful.
I'm so glad! Thanks for watching!
I love! I'm just starting out and I just invested in an iPad pro 😍 I can't wait to try it out! Also where'd you get your case from ☺️
Ohh yay! I hope you love it! My case is really old from amazon and honestly it isn't the best for iPad lettering because the stand on the back makes it wobble! I need to find a new one! Thanks for watching!
@@HowtoHandLetter thanks for the tips BTW! Very inspiring ♥️
What brush pen did you use and also font, please thank you.
Do we have to use a brush pen?
I am new to Procreate. How did you add the guidelines for your lettering? Sorry, if this is a dumb question, as I said I am new to the app.
...and a second question: Can you specify the parameters of the brush?
Very easy tutorial to follow. Thank you!
Love this, this was sooo useful :)
Does the x height needs to be the same?
Where do I find the paper lines that you are writing on in procreate?
Thank you for posting this lovely and concise tutorial 😊May I ask, what brush are you using in Procreate? I've been struggling to find one for my lettering on the iPad...
You are welcome! I am using the brush pen by Rad & Happy. It's free on her website & if you can't find it, I have it linked in my "absolute favorite procreate brushes" video! Thanks for watching!
thank you! I was wondering as well. 💕 love your videos!
How did you create the grid on Procreate? I have the IPad Pro and Apple Pencil also....
What brush are you using to do this video?
awesome!! I've learned how to do the basics in modern calligraphy on paper using the tombow & other calligraphy marker pens. But I'm having a hard time writing on my tablet. I have a surface pro. Can you only do this on ipads?
Hello! I haven't tried the surface pro so I don't have first hand experience, but from my understanding the iPad Pro/Apple Pencil is one of the only ones that is pressure sensitive - where you get thick & thin strokes depending on how hard you press. I could be wrong, but I know that's why a lot of people choose this over other tablets. Are you able to get procreate on your tablet?
I wasn't able to get procreate on my surface pro, but I did find something comparable to it which is Autodesk Sketchbook. It has different types of brushes that are customizable as well. I tried other painting apps, but I found Sketchbook to have the best & easiest brushes to work with. I kept practicing and It became easy. Of course I have a long way to go to get really, really good.
what camera are you using???
You're amazing!! Very helpful.. but where can I get the grid pls?
What case do you have on your iPad? I like the color of it!
Thank you! I actually just got it a few days ago (after having this iPad for almost a year! Whoops!) Here is the link from amazon: www.amazon.com/iPad-Pro-12-9-YOUMAKER-Protective/dp/B01MTNSOD9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493511708&sr=8-1&keywords=iPad+Pro+12.9+Case%2C+YOUMAKER+Heavy+Duty+Apple+iPad+Pro+12.9+Full-body+Rugged+Protective+Kickstand+Case+WITHOUT+Built-in+Screen+Protector+for+Apple+iPad+Pro+12.9+inch+%282015+Release%29+-+Rose+Gold%2FGray. Thanks for watching!
Superb!
I have the iPad Pro and pencil. What program are you using?
frenlynn procreate
Me encanta!!
Thank you! And thank you for watching!
Thank U for sharing. I want to practice on my iPad as well. Where did u get the line grid paper from?
You're welcome! I just made it using a mono weight pen & also a dotted pen. If you make a line in procreate and hold it down at the end, it will lock your line into place and you can line it up with the grids in the background to make it perfectly straight. If you don't want to do that, you can use the grid brush under the textures brush category in procreate and make it super large and just draw that all over your canvas. It helps keep things straight/even - just make sure to add a layer on top of it so it doesn't draw on the same layer as the background. Thanks for watching!
Where can we find the grid you are using ?
How to set up this brush please
Hello, It's possible to have this pogram (which program? :P) in your computer if you have a intuos pen to draw? I am starting to learn this kind of calliigraphy but i would like it to make in the computer. Thank you
Hello! This is done using the Procreate app. and unfortunately it's an app for apple products, so it only works with the iPad or iPhone (that I know of). Also, the Apple Pencil is pressure sensitive and only works with the iPad Pro specifically. Hopefully there will be some upgrades in the future to make it more easily accessed because it's a great app (and only like $5-6!). Sorry I couldn't help more! Thanks for watching!
what app are you using?
What do you have on your pen?
It's a rubber pencil gripper for the Apple Pencil! I am planning to do a video on it this week or next - I just got it so I'm still testing it out to see if I'm in love with it or not. So far, I really like it though! Thanks for watching!
How to Hand Letter - Did you ever do the review of the pencil grip/cover? I'm curious if you like it, but I'm not seeing a video about it....
This makes me wanna get iPad and that pen!!!
Could you share what is that brush? Where Can I found it?
Yes! It's the rad & happy calligraphy brush and she gives it away for free on her site! It's kind of buried in her site so here's the link: www.radandhappy.com/blog/2016/4/21/procreate-app-brushes Thanks for watching!
WHATS THE BRUSH LIKE I NEED IT AND I CANT FIND IT!
「donutmxlk」 Did you find it??
what app do you use for video?
Hello! I typically use hyperlapse for sped up videos that I post to Instagram, but for youtube videos I record them on a phone and then edit them in iMovie. Thanks for watching!
What app is that?
How do u get your lines so steady?
Lots of practice & always making sure I have streamline turned on! Even if just a little bit to help you out with the shakes! The Apple Pencil/procreate is way too sensitive to get smooth lines on thin strokes because it shows every little thing. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
Love your tutorial! Just found it today and started practicing... :)
How do you decide which letters to bounce?
I noticed it's usually every other unless they are double like the ll or oo?
Found you on Instagram too! Thanks! ❤️
Thank you so much! Yes, I don't really have an exact science to it, but I tend to go back and forth to keep my letters going straight. I just try to keep the flow going up then down and so on. I know that's confusing to explain on here, I hope that helps!
where can i find the brush?
Hello! This is the calligraphy brush from Rad & Happy. You can download it for free here www.radandhappy.com/blog/2016/4/21/procreate-app-brushes (I also love her other brush that she has there!) Thanks for watching!
how to create the lines in this app?
For this one, I drew them by hand, decreased the opacity & then added a layer over it to write on!
Did you have any problems with purchasing your iPad off of Amazon?

How to Hand Letter m
I love all that you share...as a beginner I learn so much! Now are you able to share this wonderful tutorial with traditional paper and pen? I don't have the iPad and I know it's the same concept just in a digital format, but I love your way you do your real time lettering videos. Oh and do you subscribe and visit beginner's channels as well? Id love your constructive opinión on my simple lettering videos...it would mean so much if you would! Thank You...Laura, TLV♍
Thank you so much! That is the nicest compliment! Yes, I try to do versions of iPad and regular paper since I know not everyone uses an iPad! I will work on doing a bouncy lettering video on paper soon. And I will definitely check out your channel - there needs to be more lettering videos on RUclips! They are few & far between. Thanks for watching!

Lovely lettering, but what are the 4 simple steps?
Using ipad for calligraphy is eco friendly, it doesn't use any paper so you won't waste trees ;)
Yes! Such a perk! Thanks for watching!
It's so hard for me.. 😞. I keep on practicing but doesn't look remotely as good as yours
who realised in 2018 she was typing on a tablet
Wow this all new to me an love it .. you explain it pretty good and we can see how you write the letter . Good job . Thanks for sharing this with it was fun
What brush on the iPad are you using?
Hey! This is kind of an old video, so I'm not 100% positive but I would guess it's Rad & Happy's free brush... I used to use it all the time. I've since had to buy it because she sells it now and I will say it feels a bit more glitchy (not sure if it's procreate or the brush) but I still like it and use it a lot! Thanks for watching!
