True, I've watched many kdramas before and i thought WFKBJ made my heart flutter so much but boi i was wrong. Just watching the landing scene from the pilot episode, i never thought i can feel these many emotions all at once. Hoping for them to be together in real life, but i don't want them to end up like SongSong couple 😅😢
Huge impact on the last few seconds of this clip: "I love you" spoken in both North Korean and South Korean accents. Really speaks a lot about this love that knows no boundaries.
I've rewatched this scene countless of times already but it get's me crying everytime again. The portrayal of north and south unifying in these two love confessions is just purely beautiful.

MY GOD. To think that there is no bed scene, or extreme torrid kissing scenes? And yet they emphasized the strong feeling of love? THEY DESERVED AN AWARD. They nailed everything. They even smashed other korean dramas. Let’s also talk about the accent and acting skills of being a north korean. Just wow.
@@thomaspiccinini5224 well i'm latina and i use that hand gesture diferently, something like to emphasize what i just said.. idk how to explain it without showing the hand motion lol
HANDS DOWN THE BEST SCENE IN KDRAMA HISTORY!! the insane chemistry between the two never fails and the emotions displayed seems so real, they didn’t even have to kiss to express the love. To say that they’re amazing actors would be an understatement. So happy they’re also together in real life.
I totally agree!!! They should be hands down winner in the Best Actor and Best Actress category in the 56th Baeksang Awards but they didnt get it !!! Sooo frustrating!!! 😪
You can say that again! The story, the heartfelt lines, the tears, everything feel so real. I wish they could meet again in another drama, or movie. Although many people say no, I have a dream (CLOY season 2). Oh well we can freely dream, it does not cost a cent!
“Se- ri” has to do a lot of tearful scenes in “Crash Landing” (and even more in “39”, of course!) but this is the greatest scene of them all. Her acting here is of such monumentally high quality that it had this 67 year old man weeping like a baby! Even though we understand from this genre of Korean film story that the couple will need to get together at the end, the audience in this scene feels terror at the prospect of this couple’s almost certain final separation - and it is all down to just plain old fashioned great acting…..I have watched this scene several times over just to watch how she does it - and she is magnificent every time!
One thing I love about this scene is the symbolism: I could be mistaken, but Captain Ri (from North Korea) and Se-ri (from South Korea) hugging and expressing their love for each other on the border represents the longing for peace and unity between the two countries.
This is the most, THE MOST, heartbreaking, unforgettable, heart wrenching yet the most beautiful scene I've ever watched not just in this drama but in the entire dramaland. It beat all my top favorite koreanovela of all time. This definitely my top1 most recommended drama for me.
I remember k-netizens saying that this drama would flop because of the theme (north korean and south korean falling in love). It was a real risk talk about something so sensible for both countries, but damn, I can"t move on from this drama! It has everything. Plus, I really like Seri, I never saw a famale characther in k-dramas like her, so much pain but at the same time so much life in her. Best drama ever.
@@iff4h124 Opino lo mismo. Ella es la mejor actriz de Corea. He visto todos sus dramas y cada personaje que interpreta es fantastico e inolvidable. Diosa- Ademas es bella y dulce
Because he knew that both did not commit any crime against their country. JH came to A K to protect the woman he loves and to take the NK officer back to his country for revenge for killing his older brother aside being a fugitive,
My heart still aches from this scene, the way Captain Ri shouted at her to not run because she's still hurt and he even crossed the line without a second thought just to get to her 😭
Also the fact that no one in the whole regiment or military knew Jeong Hyuk was the son of a prominent leader. Means he never used his status to his advantage until he met Yoon Seri, for her protection.
Went back to rewatch this scene after seeing their wedding and I’m crying all over again 🥺😭 when she said “I love you, I really do” it hit DIFFERENTLY omg the feels
When she ran and yelled her opinions out, the emotion of a desperate, confuse, hopeless woman were there and it felt so real... Son ye jin so good.....
Yes. Exactly. She's so good. It would have been easy to sound awkward in that state but you can just feel her pain as she shouted. It seemed so real. She's amazing. 💔
Smart man. Not only did he want her to stop running because she was just hospitalized, but if you see right when they hug, she was so close to crossing the Military Demarcation Line into North Korea. Had she crossed the line, she would've been taken by the North Korean military on the spot. *Edit:* Notice also that he only decided to break free & run across the line the moment she said she couldn't live without him. He knows she was suicidal before. The moment she said "How would I live after you leave like that?" all he cared about was making sure she lived.
OMG STOP I'M CRYING AGAIN. I did not even notice that cause I was crying so hard, but it makes the scene even more meaningful and heartbreaking. I'm watching the entire drama for the 3rd time and it's thanks to you. Lemme go cry in a corner first. 💜
son ye jin is truly korea’s best actress. no one else could’ve given yoon seri the humour, sparkle and depth that she did, and with such flawless skill. she brought out the best in her costars, especially hyun bin, who has always been a great actor but really showed how excellent he could be with the right costar and script. when seri looked at jeong hyuk and vice versa, you could literally see their love for each other in their eyes, without any context needed. if they both don’t get acting awards from every possible award ceremony in korea it’ll be highway robbery - they were both THAT good and deserving.
Yes SYJ embodied Yoon Seri perfectly! She made a fiction character become real. I didn't know her until this drama and was so impressed with her acting. I am now her biggest fan!!!
Son ye-jin is phenomenal for sure, but 'best actress' I think is definitely stretching it. She's damn good, but there are so many out there I think could have crushed the character including an ever aging Yun-ah Song (who's probably my personal favorite)
This scene really showed the level of acting skills our lead actors have. One looks anxious while the other looks calm, but we could feel the strong emotions they both shared. I feel like there so many layers in their acting for this scene. The writer created two characters that are so perfect in their own ways and Hyunbin and Son Yejin managed to portray them so well. Still trying to move on from CLOY but can't stop watching clips of it T__T my heart needs more of TwoRi couple
Man hyun bin is a marine in real life Actually he moves like a natural military guy You wouldnt expect that he is doing some acting Fck this movie Briliant
Son Yejin crushed it! She had to run, crying, and screaming her heart out at the same time. You can see her lips trembling and hear her voice cracking. Definitely melodrama queen. Not to mention IU's voice in the bgm. "Can't we meet again? Forever?" *UGLY SOBBING*
When he shouted back to Seri to stop running. Also when he said "Do not worry" "Do you not know me?" In his very calm and caring tone. My heart is just breaking. It's very hard, to move forward with this drama. Huhuhu!
I think the reason why CLOY gets a lot praises is because the drama evokes political sentiment and intense emotions from the viewers. Nothing can beat the heartfelt drama that is Crash Landing on You in the next couple of years. This scene alone deserves a lot of awards; that's how powerful it is. I can't see anyone portraying Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Seri better than Hyun Bin and Son Yejin, respectively. These two actors are the embodiment of art themselves. I still bawl my eyes out in this scene. Thank you to the whole cast and crew! Revolutionary drama indeed!
when he told her "don't run". His voice is very manly and his eyes are full of love and worry. I have cried and watched this movie many times. They are a good actor 👍
This scene is so powerful and heartbreaking at the same time. Seri and Jeyong Hyeok hugging, the military line with Peace written on it, the security team on both sides with their guns ready to shoot.....yet a quiet moment of love between the two. I'm amazed at how beautifully it has been portrayed
It's the reactions of everyone else that made me cry. They're all witnessing something so wholesome. In the middle of all this political tension and war, two people managed to find love. They really are a better and sadder love story than Romeo and Juliet.
This is the first time a scene in a show actually made me *sob*. Don’t care how fake it was. That on-screen chemistry was no joke. The fact that they actually got married made it 🤌🏼
This was the most emotionally intense scene in the whole drama. When she started running, I totally burst out crying😭. It was the first time when they expressed their love❤️ in front of peoples. At that time chemistry between them was so strong. I could feel their pain of separation😢
Never in my 30 years of life have I cried at any scene in a movie or TV series. This scene and drama will go down in history as one of the best, if not the best. Thank you for this wonderful drama, casts and everybody involved. May our North Korean comrades be free at last.
The most beautifully written k-drama , with superb acting and directing. A work of art and filled with love. I don't think I can ever get over this masterpiece. 🥰
Son Ye-Jin is amazing. Her ability to emotionally connect with her audiance through the screen and to bring out a different, more vulnerable and sensitive side of Hyun Bin is phenomenal. You can tell that they feed emotion and energy off each other and their chemistry is undeniable. Son Ye-Jin also exhibits great chemistry with her North Korean Squad, North Korean Lady Friends and her loyal SeRi’s Choice workers. This adds to her great acting skills and her ability to work with different people. I love CLOY, all the cast, and the crazy emotional rollcoster it put me through. Great drama, there was never a dull moment, and I highly recommend this drama as a must watch. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Both were so good in this scene! But Son Ye Jin’s acting is superb. While she was suppressing her cries to let HB speak his lines, you can see her lips trembling. This must not be easy! How she was also attempting to get her lines out (voice cracking) as her emotions are overtaking. This is a different acting caliber! She needs to win the Best Actress award... ❤️
There's a reason why she has won so many awards for her incredible acting. Her acting is on another level. She pulls the audience in and makes us feel her emotions. I'm so glad to she's finally attention from international viewers. She's popular in Korea but this drama she's been getting love from overseas fans. 😊💕
I can't agree more to what you said. Son Ye Jin's acting is superb. I enjoy listening to this scene more than the ost of the drama and other 2 scenes( when she woke up and called him in the hospital. And when they did the face to face interview) She personally killed me with that amazing acting that felt more like a reality in its delivery. That is also the main reason I can't seem to be able to move from this drama and at the same time I don't want to. But it is so hard 😭😭😭😭
Elizabeth I’ve always wonder as to why she can’t seem to breakthrough internationally... She’s beloved in SK, but I guess because she’s mainly done dark/melodrama... HB is right that this show will show her other side as clearly, not only can she act but she is also funny and charming!
Aseel Sabah I’ve followed her career since her Summer Scent days and I’ve always find her acting to be very natural! She is born to be an actress! I’m glad she’s getting more recognition now!
@@luvagatha yes I am recently going through all her previous works. I can't help but be mesmerized by her natural acting. Up till now I thought Han hyo joo was one of the most natural actresses in S. Korea. But Son Ye jin is and was on a completely different level. Probably on worldwide level.
After learning about their upcoming wedding, I can’t help but rewatch their videos together. They are truly a match made in heaven! I’m so happy for Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.
in case yall didnt know, son yejin is south korea's most prized actress. she has all blue dragon film and grand bell awards which are the two most prestigious awarding boards in south korea and are equivalent to the oscars and golden globes and baftas.
the only other time i cried harder was the scene when hyun bin listened to his brother last words - hes such an amazing actor during most of the series he did not show any weakness but during the scene when he started listening to the tape and teared up just by hearing his borther's voice, god i SOBBED when i heard the sound of the car crash, imagine hearing ur beloved siblings death anyways... that was a ramble
So much respect for Son Ye Jin & Hyun Bin. They’re both very talented and professional actor/actress. I’m so proud of them and the entire crew for making this successful film for us! I love all the casts and all their chemistry! I cried and laugh all at the same time during the film. It’s amazing what it does to me. This film has exceeded the many other films I’ve watched. I’m sure it will take me a long time to actually love another film this much.
Yes, totally agreed! They are both gd looking and talented in acting. Perfect chemistry between my favourite Korean actor and actress! I laughed at some esp and cried at times when I felt the emotional between the couple.
I'm so grateful we found this series! It's a masterpiece, and I'm telling all my family and friends about it. Thank you so very much to all those who helped to bring this to life. You've made such a difference for me and, I'm sure, for countless others. I wish the world would do better at eliminating all of our "38th parallels," so that all the people like Yoon Se-ri and Captain Ri will never have to say goodbye again.
It's the way she said "forever". You could hear the uncertainty and the panic of never seeing her lover ever again and thats the most heartbreaking thing.
I am just wondering why they didn't receive the best actor and actress award? The portrayal of intense love and longing to be with each other for good was already heartbreaking for the viewers for they know that both are not free to be with because if their country's ideology. They really showed it well their rule.
For a man who is upright and as principled like Ri Jeong Hyeok, it is sure surprising to see that he would be willing to break rules just to save Yoon Seri, even being forced to hurt her or lie to her just so he could save her. And for a woman as successful and strong as Yoon Seri, it is also surprising to see her showing her vulnerability to Captain Ri, and to forgive him easily too. Love indeed changes a person.
"Don't run!" got my heart beating in a thousand folds than any kissing scene or bed scene have ever got me... it just screams out "LOVE" without actually saying the word itself 🥺❤
I am not really a K-drama guy but this has been keeping me on my feet all the while I have been watching it,I have been shown what it feels to truly love.
Jeong Hyeok is the most loving character I've ever watched. He cares for Se-ri, loves her unconditionally. Sweetest gesture for me is that he's able to compose a year of messages even for a little time given. The dedication and love he has. Huhu my heart
I like to think that this scene was a love letter from the South to the North. When Son Ye-Jin said, "Can't we ever see each other again? I will never get to see you again? Forever?" it is as if South Korea was asking if they will ever get to see their brothers and sisters in the North again. And when she said, "What do I do? What do I do when I miss you so much?" it was like the South asking how they are to cope with the absence of half of their people, the Korean people, from whom they've been separated for nearly 75 years. And given the human rights situation in North Korea currently, the gravity and weight of Hyun-Bin's words hits the hardest on the heart - "Just wait...and pray desperately."
Can we focus on how they said "I love you" differently? I find it very metaphorical how these two people have their own ways of saying "I love you" because each came from a different place but somehow, they feel the same way for each other. I'm pretty sure a lot of couples out there have somehow been in a situation like that: despite of their differences, someone will still choose to love that person, no matter how hard it gets. This is definitely the ultimate Kdrama of the decade.
The way he screams "stop running" :O . I m sobbing every time. It is one of the most excellent series I have ever watched. Everything works perfectly. From the great chemistry of the two leads up to the very last support role, all of the actors did amazing. So did the writers. It is spectacular how sad and incredibly funny, at times, this series is!
This scene alone ended all Kdramas. If Son Ye Jin will not get the Best Female Actress, and Hyun Bin for Best Male Actor during the Baeksang Awards, I will really throw punches.
I cried so hard with this scene! Hyun Bin & Son YeJin conveyed the hopelessness of the situation-- that of losing the one you love beyond your control😭😭😭 i was so moved when seri asked: “Can’t we see each other again? I will never get to see you again? Forever? What do i do ? What should i do when i miss you so much?” and with jeong hyeok’s reply: “just wait and pray desperately. You asked if you can meet someone you miss that way. You can.” 😭😭😭 The BGM killed me! It’s sooooooooo perfect!!!
I'm not one to cry, but my god. With everyone drawing their guns. And Son Yejin running to Hyun Bin. It really made me choke up. Props to the actors/actresses that made this feel so sincere and real. Even though it's a drama. Lol.
TKT Entertainment thank u but i also wanna know the background music while she was running to Ri Jeong Hyeok? If anyone knows the title please tell me??? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I've watched countless k-dramas, none have come close to the standard of "Crash Landing on You", in regards to chemistry, story, ost, photography... Truly the one that got everything right.
Son Ye Jin wasn't joking during press conference that the 2nd half of CLOY will be more of melodrama than romcom. It has been almost 2 months and i still find my self crying whenever i see this scene. SYJ and HB did a really good job. The title melodrama queen was given to SYJ for a reason. The queen delivered.
The way he touched her hair reminds me of what she asked him to do in front of his neighbors to show love and caring. Although they didn’t win Baeksang Award but they and the series pierced my heart deeply and by far none of all the series I’ve watched can replace. Especially this scene.
They were not able to get the coveted Baeksang Award but the people who voted for them in Tiktok category have spoken. Baeksang is in SK only the popularity of CLOY is global. This opens new doors of opportunities of BinJin as international actors due to their excellent performance. Congratulations BinJin (RiRi).

Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin nailed this scene. Not only they have mind blowing chemistry, but they made the audience feel desperation, anxiety, heartbreak, hope and love. To be honest, one of the most memorable and well crafted scene I have ever seen, k dorama and movie wise.
Why did I cry when Son Ye-Jin was running to Hyun Bin. She played this part well. You can feel the love she has for him. I keep watching this scene on Netflix. Love them both
Both actors were amazing in this scene, but SYJ really nailed it in her delivery, voice-breaking and all that. You’d realise for such an emotional high impact scene, it can only be delivered by actors of this caliber.
What is great in this movie is the natural actions of both actors, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, their eye contact, facial expressions, their soothing voices and their expression of love, simple but believable. It touches the inner deep feeling of true love. Their chemistry is VERY GOOD. And the locations and the music blended, just right with the love story. You all did a great job, the writer, the actors, the director together with the rest of the actors and staff. We, my daughters and friends watched this several times and still keep on watching. This is a very timely love story in this critical times. The world is in chaos. We need this kind of movie to give us that relaxing, exciting and inspiring moment and forget about the troubles of our time. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are truly in love as you can see in their eyes, indeed, they are great actors. Our prayers for both of them, true happiness and their hearts' desires because they make people happy and inspired. They deserve to be happy too in their real lives. All the best for you, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.

I red all of comments for finding this comment. Now I am on the 9th episode. Isnt it a real ending? Has it a happy ending?
One thing I love about this scene is the symbolism: I could be mistaken, but Captain Ri (from North Korea) and Se-ri (from South Korea) hugging and expressing their love for each other on the border represents the longing for peace and unity between the two countries.
This.
Yes its the set up of this scene that makes this much more heart breaking. True love denied due to political differences
I got that too. I hope their countries will be unified one day.
Am keeping mg fingers crossed for another Korean teleseries like CLOY..
This scene is true for India and Pakistan too.
Does anyone else’s heart actually ache when watching sad scenes?
Hurts so bad 💔
Every time I watch these I start to cry. We need at least 1 more episode
Is this ending scene of the drama? Bad or sad ending?
Yes😭💔

A million times, yes!
This scene is still unbeatable even with Queen of tears. Son Ye Jin cannot be dethroned with her acting.

Best drama ever.
yeah son yejin is one of the most expressive actress in south korea. i watched all of her films after this drama 😂. definitely one of the best!

The lines are really well written for this scene. It is not cheesy at all. There is love, joy and pain. All packed in very limited lines.
The NIS detective was literally all of us, he was shipping them since he met them😭
Because he knew that both did not commit any crime against their country.

And also the fact that they could have shot her... but also what you said 💕☺️

adam azhari This sentence is so touching, and also heartbreaking
So touching

@@samanta9844 their first baby was born couple days ago
son ye jin is truly korea’s best actress. no one else could’ve given yoon seri the humour, sparkle and depth that she did, and with such flawless skill. she brought out the best in her costars, especially hyun bin, who has always been a great actor but really showed how excellent he could be with the right costar and script. when seri looked at jeong hyuk and vice versa, you could literally see their love for each other in their eyes, without any context needed. if they both don’t get acting awards from every possible award ceremony in korea it’ll be highway robbery - they were both THAT good and deserving.
Yes SYJ embodied Yoon Seri perfectly! She made a fiction character become real. I didn't know her until this drama and was so impressed with her acting. I am now her biggest fan!!!
Agree 💕
She's great but Kim go eun is fantastic
Agree❤️❤️❤️ I love SYJ😍😍😍
Man hyun bin is a marine in real life
Actually he moves like a natural military guy
You wouldnt expect that he is doing some acting

Son Ye Jin's crying scenes always rip my heart out. They feel so real. Hats off to both of them. Their acting was amazing throughout the whole series.
They nailed so amazingly that we drawn into them🌟
Agreed! They brought the atmosphere naturally that make us feel so sick while watching this. I've never been so emotional watching dramas before.
So heartbreaking.made me really emotional
Son Yejin crushed it! She had to run, crying, and screaming her heart out at the same time. You can see her lips trembling and hear her voice cracking. Definitely melodrama queen. Not to mention IU's voice in the bgm.
"Can't we meet again? Forever?"

So I'm not the only one who rewatched this scene & cried like crazy. They said their goodbyes too many times yet somehow it gets us everytime.
I totally agree with you, well written thoughts I must say. Love it 💕💕💜
The pain and longing of yoon seri radiating to the viewers in this scene is astonishing!!!
Exactly! Son Yejin pulled it off like crazy! No wonder she is THE melodrama queen.

when he told her "don't run".
“Just wait and pray desperately.”
- That’s what we BinJin stans did and finally we’re here. 😍☺️☺️☺️💕
It's the reactions of everyone else that made me cry. They're all witnessing something so wholesome. In the middle of all this political tension and war, two people managed to find love. They really are a better and sadder love story than Romeo and Juliet.
“Sadder” at least they didn’t die and ended up being together in some way. You can’t say that for Romeo and Juliet after all.

The most beautifully written k-drama , with superb acting and directing. A work of art and filled with love. I don't think I can ever get over this masterpiece. 🥰
I am fairly new in the kdrama watching scene and this is by far top 1😭😭😭

THE CHEMISTRY IS SO REAL IT DOES NOT EVEN LOOK SCRIPTED OMG...
And the way he look to hers, it's like full of love
And when they did the face to face interview)
She personally killed me with that amazing acting that felt more like a reality in its delivery.

I am crying bcz of this word now and the way she said it omg. She knows how it feels its impossible that its acting
That long pause before he answered held so much weight. Like he knew how impossible their situation was, but he also knew he had to give her hope.
I am just wondering why they didn't receive the best actor and actress award? The portrayal of intense love and longing to be with each other for good was already heartbreaking for the viewers for they know that both are not free to be with because if their country's ideology. They really showed it well their rule.
They did won best actress and best actor awards!!!
For that you need to watch winner actor and actress's acting.
My life has not been the same since CLOY. I’m still at awe.

Please don't forget the "You're not fully recovered yet. What if you collapse again?" line 😭😭
I loved that part too! It shows how much he loves her and cares about her
I like to think that this scene was a love letter from the South to the North. And given the human rights situation in North Korea currently, the gravity and weight of Hyun-Bin's words hits the hardest on the heart -
"Just wait...and pray desperately."
Oh my gosh! I never realized that until now. Such a great symbolism. The writer is so amazing 😭😭😭
Damn this is brilliant!
Mann, this reality hit us so much
Goddamn that's beautiful
Omggggg 😭
