Great vid! straight to the point and informative. Quick question. How did you release the front strut's top bolt? been fighting with it all day as the shock absorber rod rotates when trying to loosen the bolt attached to it. tried securing the rod as much as possible yet it still spins and the bolt doesn't move. Any ideas? thanks!
Are you trying to loosen them after removing the strut from the car? If so I'd say put it back in and break the nut loos before removing them. Otherwise I'm sure you could clamp them down with a vice or use some sort of penetrative substance. Just careful of course and definitely use a spring compressor. Hope this helps. Anything else feel free to ask.👍
@@the_mintiest_micra I've tried loosening when they're in the car, without spring compressors and with the spring compressed yet no luck. did your one just break free without spinning the central shock rod?
@@sbfpv3606 Ye mine came off quite easily, with enought leverage you shouldn't have a problem, if they are really stuck use heat etc. But it's a strange place for nuts to seize, very sheltered. Not too sure honestly.
@@the_mintiest_micra I'm jelous Lol. I'll give it another go tomorrow. Might try keeping it in the car, tightening the central rod as much as possible then hoping lol. Thanks Tho!
you did not use strut housing rubber, it is ok ? because I installed new shocks & lowered springs (-30mm) and put rubber only on the bottom side of strut (under spring), not under top strut mount and it squeek like old couch 😅😅
Great job and a not too long video - all round an excellent watch, thanks.
I follow and like your videos in tiktok

@@sbfpv3606 did you fix this in the end, I'm having the same problem
what place did you put the axel stands on the front? was it on the chassis rails
Ye, just behind the start of the chassis rails, they seem to hold up quite well so far.👍
Would it be a problem to install taller springs infront than the rear ones?
I don’t think so, if you can fit the springs on the shock, but I think there would be better options such as strut spacers for a “lift kit”

I put both back in and it’s ok, I wouldn’t remove them lol 😂
👍
Heyo can you make a Video on how to fit a spoiler lip on the micra?
What springs are this? Can you leave the link?
Theyre 35mm Apex K11 Lowering Springs www.rallynuts.com/nissan-micra-k11-suspension/apex-sport-lowering-springs-nissan-micra-k11-92-03.html

Are ya leaving her the colour she is
Paint and bodywork in poor condition, will respray it eventually, probably red.
@@the_mintiest_micra good man
Cut them a bit to be much lower
Don't want to, it will mess with the stiffness.
