The worst way to lose is when you are winning by 100 points and your teacher says whoever scores the next point wins.
fr😔
That's just the NASCAR playoffs lmao
2020 Kevin Harvick
Our shop teacher did this my senior year, he let the girls team win a jeopardy game after they didn’t answer anything all game….got a 2 day suspension for saying “you let them win because you’re just tryna fuck”. Ironically enough he got fired a couple years later for doing just that
@@smunger69 💀💀💀💀
Man got so upset about Truex's loss that he made an entire video about NASCAR losses as a therapy of sorts. That's dedication!
Ss
"I don't know what Kyle did to piss off the racing gods." Historically, he did a lot.
And still acts like a d bag towards the media
ss
Kasey Kahne’s entire rookie season could’ve been on this list
I swear everything was against Kasey Kahne's rookie year
That damn oil spill at Dover 😡
Heck, for his career if Kenseth was in the lead he wasn't getting past him. Except for that Atlanta race but we don't talk about that one.
It always felt like Kenseth was fast the same day as Kasey
Was literally about to make this exact comment, as a Kasey fan, he was the king of this
The chart you have made undoubtedly promotes you officially to "NASCAR Jon Bois"
That title belongs to S1apsh0es and has for years. Don’t disrespect the OG.
you totally missed the entire reason for that comment. Show me any video where Slap has made a Jon Bois-style chart for his vid. Go ahead. I doubt you'll find one.
Just making documentaries doesn't makes this the NASCAR Jon Bois.
Using tame impala doesn't make him jon bois.
@@J.C...Slap has cribbed Jon’s editing style and about half the music Jon uses in his videos for years. A single chart doesn’t mean this guy is more like Jon. Y’all are wild for thinking that.

if you want to win, here’s a list of things you should stay clear:
- greg biffle’s left rear quarter panel
- grille tape
- chase elliott’s bumper
- homestead turn 2 wall
- Denny Hamlin in general
Hehehehe
-Driving a red 9 car from 2004-now
- Texas turn 3 wall
Daytona turn 3*
*for some drivers
@gsstopmotions um how about a 9 car starting with the last race of 2003. Bill elliott cut a tire leading on the last lap. It still makes me sick thinking about it.
“I don’t know what Kyle Busch did to piss off the racing gods but they just wouldn’t let him prevail!”
When you spin out Dale Jr. in 2008, the gods won’t show mercy.
That race should’ve been on this list too. It’s often forgotten because of the Jr/KB spin, but Denny led 381 of the first 382 laps.
the racing gods are false gods
Kyle got loose under Jr and overcorrected. He didn't just take him out. When he heard all the crowd booing him, he took advantage of that and used it as fuel for him to tear up nascar for the next decade and a half.
One worth mentioning that was not featured in the video: Denny Hamlin 2008 Richmond. He led 381 of the race's 410 laps, but he had a tire go down late. It got overshadowed by Kyle Busch turning Dale Jr. racing for the win shortly thereafter.
And nobody remembers it was Clint Bowyer who went on to win.
i think he had led 381/382 until his tire went down
s
The true saddest loss in nascar history was Boris Said at Watkins Glen in the late 2000s. Was by far THE fastest in practice in that race, but qualifying got rained out meaning that they had to resort to owners points to decide the field. Said was bellow the cutoff and missed the race completely. This would’ve likely been the greatest shot to win a nascar race….
What did Boris say?
@@swidel12 His last name was Said. Literally. Look it up.
@@acedelta12 I know. That was the joke.
Said falling barely short of winning the 2006 Pepsi 400 while driving for a small team in their first ever race was even more sad imo. Tony has enough summer Daytona wins 😂
@@swidel12 idk, probably something like dadgumit
Can't believe there wasn't any mention of Denny Hamlin's outrageous sell at the 2008 Richmond race. He led 381 of 410 laps (92.9% of the entire race btw) but it all was thrown away when he blew a tire and got a pit pen on top of it. And then Kyle Busch spun Dale Jr 17 laps later and nobody remembers what happened to DH
He clearly doesn't like Hamlin, soooo
This is why Elly Productions is the next up and coming NASCAR RUclips Creator! He is soooo talented
One that I think deserves a mention is the 2008 spring race at Richmond. Denny Hamlin led 380 of the 400 laps
It’s absolutely mind blowing that Mark Martin won 5 races at the age of 50 in 2010. I understand that the Michigan win was a fuel mileage win, but A) a win is a win. B) 5 races is a career defining year for most guys, but for Mark it was one last hurrah. To see that he had that much left in the tank at 50 and called it quits while he was ahead is astounding. Other than winning a championship, arguably the best way to end your career.
*2009
He could've become the oldest Cup Series winner ever at 53 in 2012 at Pocono, but Joey Logano had other plans...
He didn’t quit while he was ahead. He stuck around and had a letdown his final year. It would have been a great way to end his career, but it didn’t end up that way, unfortunately.
This is a perfectly timed upload, as I am on the bus ride home from a varsity baseball game where the other team walked it off on a throwing error by my team lol
I mean.... the race that brought NASCAR to the forefront:
The 1979 Daytona 500
- Pole Setter was gone a few laps in via pit crew stupidity, and winning the 500 was the only piece missing to him dominating the whole weekend of events.
- The 2 leaders crash each other out, leading to THE FIGHT
- The King, who wasn't even really expected to do anything that day, wins.
Babe wake up, new EllyProductions video just dropped
Facts
Yes mommy
@14:30. Jeff Gordon took 2 tires and jimmie took 4 on the final pitstop
“Got straight up out driven” my ass
@@Grady4bobcats I mean he wasn't wrong was he, it wasn't Johnson's fault that Gordon couldn't hang on with his 2 tires
While not in the video's format, I think the most painful loss in recent memory was Dale Jr at Talladega in 2015. If Harvick doesn't wreck the field and he manages to outrun Logano in the best car of the day, he makes it to Round 8 and gets that rain shortened win at Phoenix to make his only Championship 4 appearance
At the same time I do think Truex barely making the Final 4 was important in his redemption story and if not for that I have to wonder if Furniture Row would get on that tear from 2016-2018
Oh yeah i remember that episode at Talladega in 2015 had dale jr won the whole track would been like we love dale jr and along with his won at Phoenix he might have made the championship 4 and maybe he could have won the championship.😊
Daniel Hemric selling his entire soul to the Nascar devils to get his only win at the championship finale is a top 10 all time Nascar story and you can’t tell me otherwise. Esp since the playoffs robbed him of a ring in 2018
2023 Texas for Bubba and 2018 roval for Jimmie Johnson haunts me.
I felt a shader in my heart when you showed Sheldon creed😭😭😭😭 he’s my xfinity driver
I have a VCR recording of the 2008 Bristol race, and I'm so glad it made it onto the thumbnail. I've been a fan of Nascar for over a decade, and I still don't like Kyle Busch.
My favorite example of this was the 2021 ARCA season finale. Ty Gibbs led the first 98 laps of 100 and by lap 50 just 3 cars were on the lead lap. A caution with 7 to go set up a restart where Nick Sanchez took the lead to get his first ever win. (Also most boring race I’ve ever watched, I was there and enjoyed watching the haulers show up for the cup race more than watching the actual race).
I didn't even remember Harvick in 2017, though that Richmond finish from a week ago is still fresh in my mind. Truex is my grandmother's favorite driver, and after spending the afternoon together, the 2 of them would watch the race from their hotel that evening; she and I texting back and forth about the race. Needless to say, she wasn't happy with how it ended, and neither was I, as the finish happened about 3 hours after I officially turned 20 years old. Great day; hate it had to end like that.

Storybook Seasons: 1992 🙌🏼 Cant wait!
This is your version of EmpLemon's "Art of the Choke"
2004 Kasey kahne fan here
That charlotte fall race still hurts
Dude, honestly, until recently the only thing I knew about nascar I learned from Cars and some EmpLemon videos... I love your content and I'm learning a lot... keep up the good work
I really did not expect to hear Amazing Digital Circus in a video about NASCAR 🤣
EmpLemon got the algorithm working overtime on NASCAR suggestions
I know it's not quite to the same level as the examples in the video, but the 2009 Brickyard 400 still breaks my heart to this day.
Last year in trucks, Nick Sanchez led 168 laps in a race that had 167 scheduled laps, but finished 16th
f-zero bgm!!! At first I wasn't sure I have heard it wrong or not ;P
Great video as usual, keep it up with the contents ;)
The storytelling in this video is off the charts! Love it
Only watching your videos every now and then as Im not that much of a NASCAR guy, but goddayum your music choice is glorious! The f-zero GX ost came unexpected. Hope you keep it up!
Penguins tried their hardest to choke exactly like that clip as you uploaded this video
I'm sorry... did you just say Truex and Wallace were your favorite "drivers"? Good lord man. Best of luck with that emotional roller-coaster!
How did all four Boston sports teams get in the intro in a NASCAR video?
You really know how to put together videos well Elly, awesome work.
Great video aside, yo transitions are on point my brother, keep it up
loving your graphics package. It's very professional and pleasant looking
Your videos are top notch man. Love it!
That Creed Bit Tore my soul up.
Don’t do my boy like that
Being a Creed fan is pain
Never thought I'd hear the Digital Circus music in a NASCAR video but here we are
love the usage of the avs comeback against the penguins, great stuff as always
This is such a high quality video. I walked in and said, Wow, this is such a high quality video. Thanks for making lunch enjoyable ahaha!
When I was in 11th grade one of the most attractive girls in our school asked me out to our Christmas dance and I thought because she was so attractive it was some kind of joke and she was just going to mess with me but a few days later I found out she had a crush on me. I still think that of that before I go to sleep at night almost 14 years later.😐
"the vengence of matt kenseth", that line had me laughing so hard i nearly passed out
The payback Kyle Busch got for giving up all those race wins was winning that championship where he was on the bench for almost half the season...
Ah, a new EllyProductions video. One about Cousin Carl at that
edit the thumbnail had me thinking that, still great video
harvicks 2023 season was the best example of the worst ways to lose
“The agony of defeat, however, poignant only serves to compliment the euphoria of victory.” A saying so good it should be on a T-shirt. Great new saying.
Elly uploads are always the highlight of my week
Surprised denny hamlins 381 out of 410 laps at richmond 2008 where he came 24th wasnt mentioned on this list
You’re an actual treasure to RUclips and to all of motorsports.
You put Patrice Bergeron's last game in there and I'm crying already 😭
This is incredibly well made content, thanks!
As a Dale fan, that 1995 Sonoma race was a ton of fun. Mark may have lead almost the whole thing, but Dale was running second right behind him for almost all of those laps. I still have the race on a VHS somewhere, Dale's only road course win.
Leaving off the spring 2008 Richmond race seems almost sacrilege lol. Hamlin led 381 of (planned) 400 laps when he had a flat and spun with about 8 to go. Subsequent cautions brought the race to 410 laps. Granted that Hamlin domination is always overshadowed by the whole Kyle Busch vs Earnhardt Jr deal lol
Honey!! Get up another Ellyproduction vid is out!!! 🎉
FOR F1 AN example is the 2011 candaian gp where vettel led most of the laps and in the last lap he choked and button took the win form him
Awesome vid keep it man
Saying Robby Gordon had nothing to gain by wrecking Jeff Gordon when that's literally the only reason he has an oval win in Cup...
What are the Streets of Rage 2 remixes you're using? Elite soundtrack and elite video my man
Elly droping another banger
You including the 2019 Bristol Night race in this video is a targeted psyop on me 😭😭
The Creed slander is warranted lmao
Editing was amazing, just needed to say that
The PHX race with bowman, I was there taking my dad to his first ever nascar race( he's a JR fan) so naturally we were rooting for Bowman as his subsitute. I couldn't tell you how disappointed we were after that one.
I know this video is only the Cup Series, but you gotta give Nick Sanchez a shoutout for clearing Waltrip’s record and leading all but maybe 2 or 3 laps at Texas last year and STILL LOSING in the truck series
Literally led 98% of the race and didn’t even finish in the top 15
Bro you really had to show my Penguins blowing a 4-0 lead
Brian Scott at Richmond 2013 comes into mind as well
I recall people calling the penalty that Harvick got in the 2017 Atlanta race a load of garbage. NASCAR was saying that he had exceeded the speed limit by a hundreth of a mile per hour (0.01 mph), or something like that.
One thing worth noting was this was the first year NASCAR had introduced those fancy screens in the cockpit that replaced the tried-and-true tacometer that had been a staple for decades. I recall drivers complained it was difficult to see the screen in some cases, which probably explains why so many drivers got busted for speeding in the first place.
I’m surprised Hamlin 2008 Richmond race wasent one here
Top tier nascar content. Keep this shit up
idk how 2008 Richmond wasn't on here. Denny nearly led the whole race before he blew a tire
hearing F-Zero GX music in this made me very happy.
There is no way he said that Bubba Wallace is one of his favorite drivers!
I swear I'm hearing the F-Zero GX soundtrack. Classy music choice.
This channel is a certified hood classic
A good video on sports chokes is EMPLemon's "Art of the Choke", it's such a good video
I was at both of those Atlanta races in 2021, as a Larson fan. Pain. And sitting next to my Mom, a Blaney fan... she still hasn't let it go, brings it up regularly lol
I'm convinced that I'm cursed to never see "my driver" win in person. I've been attending races for 25ish years and it hasn't happened once, regardless of who my driver at the time is. Larson has been a few of my best shots, but between these, the inaugural Roval, a few at Darlington and Bristol where he's had a strong shot at winning but thrown it away one way or another... the curse has to be real, right? Hoping it'll be broken in Indy in May, that'd be epic af and I'd accept that as the only time I ever see my driver win in person lol
remember watching that race live as kid and laughing hard when Edwards spun him lol
In indycar it’s also happened 😂 Scott Dixon led so many laps in the 2022 Indy 500 and on the last cycle of pit stops he sped on pit road and was forced to do a drive through, giving up a for sure win for him
Yeah I'm a Dixon fan that one hurt so much
NEW ELLYPRODUCTIONS VIDEO!!! LETS GOOOOOO
If last week's race inspired this video, I'm glad something this good actually came from it.
Gordon lost the 2010 Shelby 427 because he took 2 tires on the last caution and Johnson had 4. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was heartbreaking
Stages changed a lot for race winners i would say adding at least 3 cautions garenteed to pack everyone together at the mid point in the race
Don't think we didn't see that teaser for an upcoming video!
Holy shit I’m here early, I’m so happy we got this today!
Why did bro have to attack me with the “don’t fumble her, she’s bad” meme
I feel personally attacked from this as a sheldon creed fan aha
At 18:10 that was Denny’s Kyle Busch Dale Jr. moment
Don’t watch nascar but I love your videos
That 1995 Sonoma race would be the only time in his career that Dale Sr. won a road course race in the Cup series
posts this the same day creed blows another win
This video felt more like an emplemon video than an elly productions video tbh…
I mean, that’s not a bad thing. EmpLemon is pretty good as well.
@@nilesyensel7516 yeah but this isn’t emplemon’s channel. Thats the problem
