I think the reason I love TSFH so much is... well let's be honest, there are a LOT of reasons. But setting their mastery of music theory aside, what makes TSFH special to me is that there is always a story in their music. Each song is a battle, a discovery, an adventure. And they don't even have to say a word. The story will tell itself.

In 2019 my marching band sampled parts of this in our show. It was my freshman year, my first time in a marching show, and I'm so glad we used this. I will never forget how it feels to work your ass off everyday and see it pay off in the stadium, and the absolutely epic music just boosts that feeling tenfold. Currently a junior as I'm writing this, and we missed a full season due to covid. It feels great to be back with our new show, it's been a great season. Next year's my last, and I'm gonna miss this.

My marching band is doing a song primarily based of of this song and I could not be more excited. This is supposed to be the 3rd movement of our show, Outlaw. Let the show begin. #OutlawMVMB2016
I have just spent 2 weeks of intense epic music listening looking for this song! I remember the first few times I heard in random playlists I didn't care for it too much, but over time I grew to love it without even learning the name of the author...and then one day that intro tune got stuck inside my head and then I just couldn't find it anymore...this is so fucking cathartic...bless you TSFH
Jack Patterson Exactly, I've made many different types of fighting videos but never a full fledged movie and its all there just need someone to coordinate moves and music and things like that
I love correcting assignments from my students while listening to TSFH. It feels like it becomes the most important thing in the world, and I feel like a hero doing it. Haha
Most underrated TSFH song, and my favorite. Remember when this came out when I was in 7th grade almost 8 years ago, blasted this while eating breakfast!
This has always been my favorite Two Steps From Hell song. In fact, it's the very first song I downloaded on my first phone years back. And I always listen to it when I watch lightsaber duels.
I still remember where I was when I first heard this song several years ago, as well as the time of day. The beginning was kinda odd, but MAN...I love everything about this song, now. The layers, the power!!! Definitely my favorite TSFH song, if not my favorite of all songs.
I find it very interesting how people have different views of which part in this piece they consider to be the best. Many have said it's 1:32, some say 0:26. Personally though, my favourite part is the beginning. So weird and initially unlikeable, but memorable, and that's the point. I can't think of how any other part of the song (or any song from TSFH) sounds, because it reaches a point where everything sounds too much the same. All I remember is that it sounds amazing and inspiring, but too similar. For the beginning, however, it's distinct and different and plays on repeat in my head, enticing me to listen to the whole thing again. :) Hey guys thanks for the replies; it's nice to read other peoples' opinions :)
The violin at beggining is just really catchy and for a people who listen for the first time this music it is really really nice... the music is just an history, an universe...
God, at about 1:30-ish, I can actually visualize the buildings towering overhead, with futuristic vehicles zooming back and forth between them. Truly a masterpiece, and definitely one of my favorites of your pieces.
its a whole movie intro " The Dark Eye" El Doradus on the new Continent or Dungeons and Drageons Forgotten Realms ! Queztacotl climbing up the 13 Stair Pyramid !
Omg i almost stopped listening cause the beggining was something so diferent from the music i use to like but somehow it was kinda of interesting so i decided to wait and then 1:32 OMG HOLY BATMAN, i was blown away by this masterpiece of epicness!!! Now this song is one of my favorites cause is just mixture of impossibles creating an unique MAGNIFICIENT sound omg!!!! Bergensen you're genius! 💖
As I was playing Minecraft a few days ago while listening to this song, this random story came to my mind: A brave and adventurous young player is walking across the landscape, with a large mountain building up in front of him. He decides to climb up the mountain but as he reaches the top, he realizes that the 'mountain' is actually a volcano. He notices a chest, located very close to the lava lake at the bottom. As he goes down into the crater, he hears footsteps. With his sword in his hand, he approaches the chest, when all of the sudden he gets a hit from behind. He nearly falls into the lava lake, but can save himself by hanging himself onto a stone. As the two battle themselves, the lava starts to become active and begins to rise. In the threat of being devoured by the lava, the two decide to stop the fight and work together. After the two sucessfully exit the crater, the volcano erupts, shooting out lava everywhere. The two players go into hiding, and our main protagonist sees his former enemy for the first time in clear vision. He is shocked to see, that the other player does not have armor nor a weapon. As he asks why he hit him, the player said that he fell into the crater and wanted to ask for help, so he punched him in the back. The protagonist understands him, and they become great friends shortly after.
The true image of this song is obscure. That is, until you have been with TSFH through time. This is a song of nostalgia, you'll only truly feel the connection after stumbling upon this music, hitting the bottom of your life, reaching the new top, and coming back to this once more.
Definitely one of the best TSFH songs ever. Everytime I listen to this, it feels like living in the sky(world). It also reminds me there will better times and always hope for a better future.
For the win is up there too, but not as high as El Dorado, and Blackheart. My favorite songs in skyworld would have to be 1. Blackheart, 2. El Dorado, 3. Winterspell, 4. For the Win, 5. Breathe
The whole album is fantastic, and its probably my favorite album out of all the TSFH albums. Also I wanted to see if its just me. Does skyworld (The song not the album :P) sound like the sonic 06 main theme to you? I'm just curious. Because whenever I hear it that's exactly what it sounds like.
I've listened to this countless times, but I can never get over the sheer power of this piece! (Especially the horns blasting at 1:33) It must have been great to record this piece with a live orchestra!
I sincerely love these guys' music. Every track has an epic scene associated with it in my mind. For example. In the beginning as the string is playing it's discordant tune I see a deer running through the woods. Seconds later a man clad in armor bursts through the underbrush running the same direction. He seems to be chasing the deer. The man and deer break into a clearing and the man turns his head to look behind him and right as the base kicks in a shadow resbling a classical Western style dragon is shown in pursuit of the man. For brevity's sake, there are multiple cuts as the man tries to escape, but eventually he is caught as a cliff. He turns draws his sword and faces his pursuer as the massive dragon lands as the music picks up. Then right when the main chkrus hits an arrow zooms out of the periphery and pierces the dragons eye followed by a second heavily armed and armored knight. Remainder of the song is filled with an epic fight.
MusicMakesYouBraver I did : ) (Battlecry). It seems to me that each time TSFH creates a new album, they improve with quality. Cannon in D Minor was absolutely phenomenal and so as Sonera, but personally Flameheart (Extended G1 Cut) is my all time favourite Epic action music due to it's simplicity. That's just me.
Sirender Sadly, I thought SkyWorld was sort of nice, and Battlecry just doesn't hold my interest at all. But then, I'm known for liking extreme music and that isn't TSFH's fault.
This epic theme i used in a very epic fight of the all epic games. And was "God Of War 4" In my ultimate kombat "Kratos & Atreus (Atreyu) VS Sigrun, The Queen Valkyrie".
I suffer from depression since the COVID pandemia. As many other, I guess. This song is for me a kind of call to rise up again. Thank you, Thomas, thank you TSFH, I love you
Okay. I've got to write a book report and an essay. Both are due in two days and I haven't read the book. * Starts music * * Done in two hours * *True story*
Used to listen to this song on my Ipod when I was in middle school. It will always remind me of my best friend Owen and I and all the adventures we had together in our small town- where there was nothing to do, but we had our imaginations. I look back on those memories and see them as an epic classic western movie.
This should be used in Assassin's Creed I when you're getting chased by the guards. Very fitting; it was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard it.
the first thing that came to my mind was a solid gold city called el dorado with ancient incan people barely clothed but wearing intricate and heavy jewelry prancing around repeating the phrase "this is our city. get out.". their hostility turned me away and i left disappointed without even bringing back any gold. dammit.
Joel Cervelló Solé i closed my eyes again and this time, i imagined riding atop a falcon while completely naked across the skies and skimming the tips of trees of the amazonian rain forest. then i reach the end of the rain forest, which turns into a huge cliff with a waterfall. the falcon swoops down and flies vertically parallel to the waterfall into a cloud of mist at the base and then pulls up right before plunging into the water below. i get scared out of my mind and instinctively release my bowels. the falcon realizes that his feathers are now caked in feces and becomes angry at my ungratefulness. he berates me for my actions, lands, and warns me that i'll never ride atop another falcon as long as he lives. dammit.
This was the first theme that I heard of TSFH, I was on a class doing my task while listening epic music on RUclips and then El Dorado appears. I loved it immediately and I couldn't stop of listen TSFH music since then.

Robert Fernandez so, unless you can live on something with no solid surface, and in temperatures hot enough to create enough light to be seen in millions of miles away...
while watching a wizard101 youtube video, I was enchanted by the music in it. I spent months and months, checking iTunes, youtube, and descriptions and comments of other videos, trying to find the authors of this awesome music. after months of search, I finally found that they were called: two step from hell. how did everyone else get here to paridise?
I'm currently writing this book series atm and in the beginning chapter of book 5; two riders are running for their lives on horseback through a desert and then stop to fight their pursuers and this song fits it so amazingly it gives me chills!
TSFH has been a great inspiration & motivator for me with my book series. Are you in the publishing stage yet with yours? I've only just completed Book 1 in mine [currently revising], and have outlined the other 6.
One of the most interesting starts for a song.
+Nick Martin i love this start
Sounds like something straight out of Assassin's Creed
Ryan C The intro is similar with music from Balkans
Leo Leonard so true. i was thinking that they have taken idea from there
InfectedWithAnime As I live somewhere in Balkans (Romania), I can hear this type of music all day long ☺
It blows my mind that this song dropped 8 years ago. I was in middle school, now I'm 20. Time flies when you're having fun I guess.
Holy cow bro. And same.

Actually, there are some games which have this music playing.
See Heart of Courage. It was used in a very famous game.

The Horns at 1:34 blow me away. TSFH doesn't always add horn melody, but when they do it kicks ass.
Sooo true

Horny

"music makes you braver" well said my friend.
God, at about 1:30-ish, I can actually visualize the buildings towering overhead, with futuristic vehicles zooming back and forth between them. Truly a masterpiece, and definitely one of my favorites of your pieces.
Interesting i imagine a western type scene but with an overhead shot of thousands of horses all moving together in the same direction
its a whole movie intro " The Dark Eye" El Doradus on the new Continent or Dungeons and Drageons Forgotten Realms ! Queztacotl climbing up the 13 Stair Pyramid !
Our marching band plays this. Ayy!
WTF IM SO JEALOUS!!!! IVE TOLD MY BAND DIRECTOR TO DOTHIS AND HES LIKE NO
Brass Flyer Lol really? That sucks! It's really an awesome song. I think it "made" our show this year even. :D
+Bax365 well this year our theme was "how to train your dragon" so it was pretty good. But if only we had this in one of our shows.

Really, the beginning is super cool
Yeah me too. I almost stopped listening like you but I think I was very lucky to not pass this song.
My family was playing Dungeons & Dragons. We fought a demon. It sure was hard. But this song was an awesome soundtrack XD
Lit ass family
Two Steps From Hell makes a lot of music that’s great for DnD soundtracks
i wish i could be a part of your family
1:32 one of the best tracks from TSFH
TSFH tells an incredible story with every song they make.
1:32 was incredible
2:54 blew my mind to the moon
4:20 brought me back to reality :')
As I was playing Minecraft a few days ago while listening to this song, this random story came to my mind:
A brave and adventurous young player is walking across the landscape, with a large mountain building up in front of him.
This is a song of nostalgia,
you'll only truly feel the connection after stumbling upon this music, hitting the bottom of your life, reaching the new top, and coming back to this once more.
Definitely one of the best TSFH songs ever. Everytime I listen to this, it feels like living in the sky(world). It also reminds me there will better times and always hope for a better future.
Been listening to this track finishing my first marathon at Athens Marathon , watching the ancient marbles...I was cryin from joy
Second best song on this album. First is blackheart sorry but its my favorite.
Agreed! It was my first and favorite two steps song!
Have you listened to "For The Win"?
For the win is up there too, but not as high as El Dorado, and Blackheart. My favorite songs in skyworld would have to be 1. Blackheart, 2. El Dorado, 3. Winterspell, 4. For the Win, 5. Breathe
Skyworld is great too.
Been looking for this FOREVER. Finally found it
I've listened to this countless times, but I can never get over the sheer power of this piece! (Especially the horns blasting at 1:33)
It must have been great to record this piece with a live orchestra!
2024 Listeners??
Yes!! 🙋🏻

Always
I use this to run on the beach, hype af

I don't know where I would be without this music. Its motivational properties help to do well academically and become successful.
MUSIC MAKES YOU BRAVER!
Who's listening this song in 2021?
🙋♂️
Me
ME
I've probably listened to this music piece a hundred times and I still get insane goosebumps. Isn't that amazing?
Sirender Did you listen to their new album? Cannon in D Minor beats anything I've ever heard, except for maybe Sonera (vocal version).
Ah, I see.
This epic theme i used in a very epic fight of the all epic games. And was "God Of War 4"
In my ultimate kombat "Kratos & Atreus (Atreyu) VS Sigrun, The Queen Valkyrie".
1:36 is good and all but for me the best part is the beginning❤
I suffer from depression since the COVID pandemia. As many other, I guess. This song is for me a kind of call to rise up again. Thank you, Thomas, thank you TSFH, I love you
I hope you the best!

Okay. I've got to write a book report and an essay. Both are due in two days and I haven't read the book.
* Starts music *
* Done in two hours *
*True story*
I did a really hard book report over 3 different stories in one book. Listened to this, got it done in 30 minutes.
Keyon Hutson Same
Conclusion: Two Steps From Hell's music can bend time and space and motivate students to do their homework.
Lady Deadpool 💋 Or it can cripple them if they think of epic movie seens this can fit in.
***** easy going!
my favorite masterpiece
that you made when you close your eye you just go on a journy to a new reality full of peace.
Am I the only one who actually likes the beginning?
NO! the whole music is great!
no, nut the climax is cooler
*but lol
No, you're not. Also the whole song is amazing.
Used to listen to this song on my Ipod when I was in middle school. It will always remind me of my best friend Owen and I and all the adventures we had together in our small town- where there was nothing to do, but we had our imaginations. I look back on those memories and see them as an epic classic western movie.
I realy like the beginning, it has a desserty feel to it.
Has anyone had this experience when u listen to such awesomeness u become super duper productive

In the land of trailer epic orchestral music, Thomas Bergersen is King!
Hell yah
This should be used in Assassin's Creed I when you're getting chased by the guards. Very fitting; it was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard it.
the first thing that came to my mind was a solid gold city called el dorado with ancient incan people barely clothed but wearing intricate and heavy jewelry prancing around repeating the phrase "this is our city. get out.". their hostility turned me away and i left disappointed without even bringing back any gold. dammit.
tox0tes No friend, this thing cames to your mind cause you read the name of the song, but if you close your eyes i'm sure you won't imagine so! :)
Joel Cervelló Solé i closed my eyes again and this time, i imagined riding atop a falcon while completely naked across the skies and skimming the tips of trees of the amazonian rain forest. then i reach the end of the rain forest, which turns into a huge cliff with a waterfall. the falcon swoops down and flies vertically parallel to the waterfall into a cloud of mist at the base and then pulls up right before plunging into the water below. i get scared out of my mind and instinctively release my bowels. the falcon realizes that his feathers are now caked in feces and becomes angry at my ungratefulness. he berates me for my actions, lands, and warns me that i'll never ride atop another falcon as long as he lives. dammit.
tox0tes you put a lot of thought into that so i'm going to give you a thumbs up
i knew it had some assassins creed feel to it
This was the first theme that I heard of TSFH, I was on a class doing my task while listening epic music on RUclips and then El Dorado appears. I loved it immediately and I couldn't stop of listen TSFH music since then.
putting this kind of music in a video requires a lot of video editing work to fit with this music..damn so epic
But if you can do it the result would be epic as hell!
lots of editing in the video. :P
It's... the... channel... of... TSFH...

This piece is still absolutely amazing though, and that's an understatement OTL I can hardly breathe for the beauty ;~;
Beginning: This is weird...
0:25 This is awesome!
I thought this couldn't get more epic than I realized the song is 4:20 long
Mitchel Patnode The wubs at the beginning sound like Snoop Dogg saying 'hmm hmm...'
coincidence?
I THINK NOT!

I regret to inform you that stars are not inhabitable.
Han Zhang haha! yeah right!
danise gonzaga stars are distant suns, not planets... for instance our sun would be a star on someone elses planet.
Robert Fernandez so, unless you can live on something with no solid surface, and in temperatures hot enough to create enough light to be seen in millions of miles away...
umm the guy was talking about a game (a very awesome game) which is coming out next year :p
Out of This World infinitely beautiful
That bass drop tho.
First portion of violin is so amazing I like it
First time i found this song, the picture on the video had a pair of cowboys riding like hell from 500 foot carnivorous worms. It was awesome.
How do they portray so many emotions in one song and every song and still makes them different GENIUS 👏
while watching a wizard101 youtube video, I was enchanted by the music in it.
