Pretty much why I dislike Mario vs Sonic match-up because Mario cast almost always win out of cartoon logic.
Eggman is not downplayed, just how this battle played out allowed Bowser to not deal with some of his other abilities. Dreamy Bowser gets the job done on Eggman entirely just through Erasure.

That, and the wonder flower would have just redone anything the phantom ruby would have anyway. That's why they showed the alternate scenario of Super Eggman getting turned into a goomba. Plus the dream stone would have just poofed the form or even eggman himself out of existence.
And even then, all that still was nothing compared to the chaos emeralds and grand stars, which ultimately was considered even.

Lightman, (Eggman's super form), takes a lot of time as well as the Phantom Ruby, the thing Infinite has and that Bowser breaks, to be done. Eggman reasonably couldn’t get an opening to get in that form before Bowser got his claws on him.

I stated objective facts. There might be some city level threats in the Mario Verse if I am being extremely generous. But Mario only defeated those threats due to outside interference from other people or extenuating circumstances. Not due to his own power.
Debunking Culex
Culex is a featless optional boss who made a bunch of dialogue about how he would rule the world. He didn't actually do anything. Villains make similar statements all the time e.g. Burter claims he is the fastest in the universe
Further Culex Debunks
Then you clearly didn't read what I said at all. One Solaris is actually canon & final boss to the story, Culex is an extra boss that is largely irrelevant to the story.
Solaris is actually shown warping timelines and destroying the multiverse. Which is further confirmed by several official sources from the writers as well as Eggman & Tails in series.
Culex just makes a bunch of empty statements and there is no proof that Culex can actually back up any of his statements. On that note, you are blatantly just making up a random fan theory.
What culex actually said is “I am matter... I am antimatter... I can see your past... I can see your future... I consume time... And I will consume you!”.
Culex is the textbook definition of featless. Compared to Culex trying to hype himself up as a big threat before losing without doing anything impressive. Eggman is being dead serious and stating facts about the threat of Solaris further confirmed by other characters like Tails and official sources.

Eggman is an unbiased party who has no reason to exaggerate or lie. He is clearly using his knowledge to explain the threat of Solaris to everyone. Which is further confirmed by other scientists and official sources.
Culex is talking about himself. He has every reason to exaggerate his powers and he doesn't actually do anything to prove that he is capable of what he claims to be.
And no, that does not prove that Culex's statements are true. Turning yourself from 2D to 3D does not mean you are omnipotent or can consume time as Culex claims. On that note Culex was made 3D by Wish Granting Star Power, not by his own power.
Culex doesn’t even mention anything about being omnipotent, time or anti matter in the japanese text of the original game. Meaning Culex’s so called statements about his power are more of a mistranslation than anything else.
If anything the fact that Culex continues to do nothing impressive and doesn't actually affect the timeline like he claims he can.
He just chooses to stay inside a cave then use weak elemental attacks like boulders when he gets a chance to fight, this only further proves my point. Culex is a featless extra boss who has never done anything remotely impressive.
Its like a homeless man living inside a cave, claiming he is omnipotent and can destroy galaxies but all he does is throw bottles at you while Mario Fans insist that his statements are "factual" because they desperately want their favorite character Mario to be omnipotent.
Dubunking Galaxy Reactor
Bowser's so called galaxy reactor is really just a small star surrounded by a bunch of building sized planets. That's not a galaxy. And its pretty much featless. Bowser only claims that he can rule the galaxy with it. Bowser's claims have always been proven wrong.
If the "Galaxy Reactor" can be damaged that easily then it clearly isn't all that durable. Even if it was believable that the Galaxy Reactor had an accurate name. The Death Star in Star Wars was blown up by a single laser. Mario damaging a supposed "galaxy reactor" does not make him galaxy level like you are trying to claim.
Debunking Paper Mario
For example Dimentio. Despite what Mario Fans try to claim. Count Bleck was the one who used the Pure Hearts to save Mario from Dimentio. That is not a feat for Mario. That is a feat for Count Bleck.
Even then the Pure Hearts are essentially the Mario Version of Kryptonite for users of the Chaos Hearts. That doesn't necessarily mean Count Bleck is on the same level of power as Dimentio. By that logic Batman is as strong as Superman since he can use kryptonite to weaken Superman to the point Superman can be beaten.
Its specifically stated and shown that its Count Bleck & Tippi who use the power of their love to empower the Pure Hearts, take away Mr. L | Dimentio's invincibility & give the team of heroes a chance to win in the Final Boss Battle of Super Paper Mario.
Debunking Dream Bowser
Dreamy Bowser is not a multiversal. The Dream Stone supposedly grants wishes. But the only actual power it showed is giving Bowser a temporary power boost and putting people to sleep. That's it. Dreamy Bowser is just Bowser with a small power boost. Dreamy Bowser's only new ability is to summon weak minions. None of the Mario Characters are multiversal.
One Paper Mario is the universe inside of a book. An entire different universe from the Regular Mario Universe. Two It isn't actually said anywhere in the Mario Games that Dreams are the size of universes. That is just an assumption that Mario Fanboys made based on their own fan theories. Unless you can actually show where that is explicitly stated then you should keep your mouth shut.
Three Dreamy Bowser doesn't have the full power of the Dream Stone. Which is clear from how Bowser doesn't try to make any wishes to get rid of Mario & Luigi as Dreamy Bowser. You are just making up nonsensical fan theories. As I said before RPG Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario are building level at best. That is an objective fact.

More Proof of Mario Fanboys being wrong. This is never stated or implied in series. Its pretty clear the Star Driver attack is just a game mechanic that was moving slow. Also Mario & Luigi aren’t even the ones moving. Their “vehicle” is. Just because you can drive an airplane or race car. Doesn’t mean that you can move at the same speed as the vehicle or react to one.
Debunking Manga Mario
A gag comic really. If we go by that logic Archie Sonic is omnipotent as well. Deadpool is omnipotent. Gintoki Sakata is omnipotent. Because they can all break the fourth wall just like Mario Kun. Mario Kun is literally shown being afraid of the artist and saying the artist can get away with anything as they run away from a chain chomp he just drew.
There is also Gwenpool who is omnipotent now by your logic. Are you seeing the problem with that "Mario Kun is omnipotent because he broke the 4th wall" logic here yet.
And yes both Deadpool & Gwenpool has definitely done everything that Mario Kun has. And Gintoki has even directly referenced other anime series & directly used abilities from other series while referencing them.
I am not the right person to debate with. Go find a different nerd to talk to because I don't really care about the outcome. More so if I like the animation, soundtrack, and choreography.

There's more overall situations where bowser would win. Just the wonder flower would instantly force eggman to rely on the chaos emeralds since the flower would beat the phantom ruby easily in terms of power. And if that wasn't enough, the dream stone beats out the phantom ruby too. Both the wonder flower and dream stone affect things in a stronger way, on a higher scale at that.
But then the stars would just match the emeralds so you're pretty much coming down to whoever would pull it off first. otherwise the stars and the emeralds would nullify each other and anything else.

Look, my only wish for this fight was that Sage would get out without a scratch and that she did, so I'm entirely content.
But to all the people bitching about the result instead of enjoing quite possibly the best DB episode to date (not the ones that are complaining, specifically people that are BITCHING) with this and that reasoning and facts, and "research they did", please give me an excuse that could prevent Bowser from instantly turning Eggman's entire army (minus Sage? Since she doesn't have a physical body?) into frogs or stone. I'm reading so many comments on how "bowser actually shouldn't be able to counter x or y" and i've yet to see someone mention how could Eggman avoid Bowser literally Thanos snapping everybody on the battlefield in the first second (he does not need prep time, and by DB rules he has any necessary item available from the start).
Sure, specific things that happen in the battle might not be...entirely "realistic" (damn Infinite got done dirty), but that's just creative liberties by the animators and choreographers, the logic that determined the winner before all of that was very much on point.

When it comes to Eggman’s Light form, it takes a considerable amount of time to gather the energy and required the Phantom Ruby which was destroyed by Bowser

Yes, Eggman has a super form. But one, he needs the Phantom Ruby to achieve that, and by that point in the battle, Bowser already destroyed it. Two, the process was described as being very complicated. And three, Bowser could have easily used the Wonder Flower or Dream Stone to take care of Eggman's super form.

Honestly, I'm a massive sonic fan, far more so than a mario fan.
But i gotta say that bowser definitely had more cases where he'd win given how OP some of the stuff is on bowser's side, and he had a better army. Anyone thinking Eggman would win had better come up with something that tops the wonder flower and dream stone first and foremost, cause the phantom ruby ain't it.
And if you say the chaos emeralds, they're matched by the stars anyway. And tbh, Kamek really could have swapped those out even if you don't think mario party is canon (despite miyamoto saying it is canon). Also, King boo can do what the phantom ruby does anyway.... except its not just perception but actual reality.
assuming everybody and everything was at their peak.... it really would come down to powers, armies, strength, and intelligence since everything else (even speed) could just be nullified or made even.

And as I said , we are only counting the Mario Party and the Galaxy games. But when we also include the RPG games like Mario & Luigi saga, Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario series, Mario Fights against Literally GODS, and he also can use godlike powers like summoning the Stars⭐ and use them as asteroids☄, Stop the flow of time⏱ to attack and summon entities like the Great Conductor, The Zeekeeper or to use his own 🔥 to create a 🌞 above his enemies. So, Bowser would never had an easy time against someone like him. And this is just a small part of what Mario can do. But it also helps that the Mario World follows a more Cartoon Logic and Sonic a more Anime Logic.

I can't hate this death battle because in order for Bowser to win they had to downplay Eggman while booster Eggman a lot. Plus this flight was amazing.
The Eggman Downplaying was nonsensical.
They mentioned that Metal Sonic alone would solo the majority of Bowsers army, Metal Sonic should be capable of copying Kameks magic. but that's just one outcome, Kamek unfortunately could just turn him into a block or a goomba. I will say that Eggmans best beats out Bowsers imo, but thanks to Bowser having his magikoopas at his side they can take out the sizable margin of Eggman's best unfortunately

Though technically there are 2 phantom rubies. The prototype that Infinite has and the actual one that Eggman has and used to "consume" Infinite into when he lost one time too many.

That was painful to watch. Bowser is way better in terms of leadership and individual abilities, but Metal Sonic solos his army and him too. He's based off on Sonic and Sonic scaling is absolutely ridiculous, Archie aside too let's be honest. I like both and the animation was peak, but come one

@@FranTheNerd The result is wrong. Bowser Jr gets stomped by any Eggbot. The only ability the Pure Hearts have is canceling out the Chaos Hearts. The Pure Hearts can do nothing to Eggman. And Bowser has never even used the Pure Hearts. Metal Sonic soloes the Mario Verse with ease. On that note Eggman has far more powerful machines than Metal Sonic aka Time Eater.
