    This is great for washing the house. This makes the job so easy that I can wash the windows every few weeks instead of dragging the power washer and a pump sprayer full of soap out twice a year to blast off the accumulated dirt. This thing works like a charm ... and well built.

  • @4eightyvolt
    @4eightyvolt 6 лет назад +1

    Shouldn't there be a tube going all the way down to the bottom of the soap reservoir? Or a tube attachment youre supposed to attach to it? Like a spray bottle. The tube should go all the way down. You're barely getting soap without it resulting in weak suds. You'll still use up all the soap but it's a waste bcause of the low volume and slow rate of soap being added.

    • @kakashi99908
      @kakashi99908 6 лет назад

      These dont come with tubes from the factory they work by water entering the bottle and forcing the solution out only the expensive ones from companies like chemical guys work with tubes but at that point I would just invest in a foam lance and power washer. If you want more foam from these cheap guys you have to mess with the sprayer nozzle I heard mist works good

    • @darrenringer9811
      @darrenringer9811 5 лет назад +1

      You gotta skip to 5:30, at which point it's going all over the car. As the thing runs it gradually gets more dilute so there's not much point in running it this long. Personally I think it works well to pre-soap the car, at which point it usually has enough soap left in it to add to a wash bucket at around the right dilution. Works very well but it is *not* a "foam cannon" so you kind of have to work faster before the suds evaporate.

  • @cdvax11
    @cdvax11 6 лет назад +7

    This was a miss for me. The pressure coming out of it was even lower than my normal hose normal. The plastic quick-release nozzle does not fit normal US quick connect fittings. The water simply runs into the soap. At first the water coming out is very soapy and it gets more and more diluted as you use. I used a purple soap and you could see it getting pinker and pinker eventually going to clear in a very short time. That's the reason they can't give you a mix rate. It is very inconsistent. Since you're using a clear soap it might not have been as obvious to you. Gets two thumbs down from me. Glad I paid only $7 for it. Too much trouble going back to Harbor Freight to get a refund.

    • @darrenringer9811
      @darrenringer9811 5 лет назад

      I don't think it's a substitute for a bucket wash, it's just something to help lather up the car up front. I use it for a couple of minutes then dump the rest of the soap into the bucket to get started. Works perfectly.

      This is intended for a garden hose or about 40-50 +/- psi. Most pressure washers are at least 1000 or higher psi and there is no way this would be safe at that pressure. Here is one that is made for pressure washers: amzn.to/2ElvRTU

    What quick release do you use for your hose?

    • @euresko1
      @euresko1 5 лет назад +1

      I think it's supposed to be a 3/8" quick connect. It's plastic. It doesn't quite fit my 3/8" brass coupler to hose fitting. I easily unscrewed it and used my spare brass 3/8" quick coupler. The threads on the gun are standard hose threading, so can just remove the quick connect it comes with and screw right on the end of the garden hose. The threading is very deep on the gun, so may need to stack a couple of rubber hose washers I. There to get a tight fit.

      That's what I thought when I bought it. Expected a tube in the packaging somewhere. But it's designed like this. At one point he explains there are little jets that shoot into the soap container. While it's clearly not comparable to a foam cannon, it's not a bad way to get some soap on the car before you hit it with a wash mitt.

    I wonder if that has a back flow prevention I wouldn't want the soap to go back in to my house water system...

      That is a great question, without disassembling it, I cannot find any evidence of it having some form of back flow prevention. In theory positive water pressure in the hose should prevent back flow of the chemical.

    You are aware that people can only find out the make and model of your car with your license plate number right? If you’re concerned about people finding out the make and model of your car you should have blacked out the whole car.

      people are idiots, false sense of security. I would be paranoid of the thousands of people that see it daily and live close by then people that are states away. But I'm not that stupid to think blocking your licence plate does anything but give you a false sense of security. It cracks me up though

    Well I would never try to wash my car like this. Don't quit your day job. If you tried to dry your car with a cloth after this wash, you will scratch the hell out of the paint. You really must wash as in use a cloth of any type with lots of water and soap to get it clean. What a joke.....

      It's certainly not a substitute for a pressure washer and/or hand washing but it does a nice job of soaping up the car in lieu of a proper foam cannon. At least compared to my previous method of going from panel to panel wringing out fresh microfiber towels over the car.

    LOL WHERE IS THE SOAP? The foam? looks like garbage. And why do people cover there plates up? You cover your plate so people across the country and world can't see it and are to far away.. yet you drive around with thousands of people that see it everyday and live close by? False sense of security that always makes me laugh.
