Amazing tutorial. I’m struggling to understand whether or not the lights in the studio/warehouse (ambient light) are all off and you’re just using a constant video light and then incorporating strobes?
Dear Karl and Team ❤ Quick question: In the portrait at 0:59, how did you achieve this huge soft homogeneous catchlights? Can I achieve it with this modifiers? -80’ open silver umbrella -soft box 60x90 double diffused -parabolic 90’ diffused -strip box 30x120 / 22x90 Thanks a lot 😌
If I remember correctly, the shot was from a class with the huge softbox you see at 9:39. It's super close to her face, hence the power is low and the catchlight rather soft
Watching this makes me regret selling our H6D100c for the new X2D and 907CFV100 - I thought Hass would be more agile with new lenses - we had to buy a Fuji GFX100ii as well just for coverage
Hi, this can all be done with less expensive lights and softboxes. At the end of the day if you want to do any sport, hobby, craft you will need some tools to do it. Most people that want to get into studio photography invest in 2 or 3 lights at least and a lot of what we show on our channel can be achieved with that. Equally many people who don't have the same equipment still enjoy seeing how it is done and take inspiration from the techniques.
@@VisualEducationStudio totally agree, it's one of my favourite ever albums!! He's re-touring the album later this year actually, I've got tickets to see him at the Apollo in London... CAN'T WAIT!
