Yeah the ending is one hell of a cliffhanger but I want you true fans and jump to conclusion internet fast tracker know it alls to know Unplugged Performance makes an amazing brake upgrade for this car. If you watch closely you will see one major thing I didnt do when installing the brakes. And that one simple thing almost took my life. Avi and unplugged have an amazing company and i want to repeat nothing from their product was the cause of the incident. It was still a Tesla issue in my opinion and Unplugged even warned me of this issue. Live on and do better is my motto this yr. But besides that the support from my family and friends that already know what happened, have been amazing and i could never have made it without your help and prayers. God Bless you guys!

I don't think he flushed the old brake fluid. I see Motul 660 bottles on the table, but he only mentions bleeding. I suspect once he heated up those new brakes it boiled the fluid and caused pedal loss. Regardless, glad you're ok. Or at least ok enough for now...

Personally, I’m thankful for your ability to even be making this video. That means you’re still here and breathing the same air with us. However, I am extremely sorry to know that you had to live through this. No one likes to be hurt and racers never like to breathe any of their mortality while in the cockpit of their race rig. It’s the worst…hands down!!
We know that we take associated risks from the day we first begin peddling of our bikes, ‘til the first day we get behind the wheel-but regardless, we just never expect when we crash… it’s all too surreal in our minds eye. Thankfully our rigs are just replaceable parts and you’ve made it to see your family, friends and later…1320ft again.
Bless you and your healing journey-those race gods want you to kick ass man, clearly!

Sometimes you have to be able to cycle the ABS for it to fully bleed. It may have auto cycled just enough to let some air into the system.

The handle pivots on the old wrench so your force is on that pi oof pin to give you the correct ftlbs. If it didn’t an you choked up on handle the torc wouldn’t read right because it’s measuring the deflection not actually force.

    • @kurtl6126

If you turn those rotors and remove the spots the instant brake fade will go away.. the spots are pad transfers and as you are driving the spots make contact with the pads and heats everything up.. the pads were not designed for the heat that was generated.. need to change to a higher temp pad material.. I had this same problem when I put EBC green pads on a car.. cleaned the rotors and changed to EBC yellow pads and the problem was resolved. The factory brakes with upgraded pads would probably be a huge improvement over the stock from the factory parts.. once you see hot spots on your rotors just scrub them off or it will only get worse

I'm guessing they bled the brakes without running the bleed procedure and there was air in the lines? Most modern cars with ABS have to go through that process. You can't just bleed them in the traditional way.
