It's not auto tune. He's using (sound effects) to give a certain vibe to the track. He doesn't use it excessively and in my opinion, he uses it the right way. It's just to add another element and a different sound. On a record with 10-12 tracks, they all need to sound different.
Regardless if it's auto tune (which is sounds a bit like) or sound effects, I don't think it's necessary. You're right that the tracks do need to sound different, but regardless if he uses the effects or not, they will all sound different due to the beats and flow used in that particular song. We've always known AK for having unprocessed vocals and hearing him sway a different way is slightly surprising. God's plan is still one of my favorite remixes by AK, I'm just expressing an opinion as a fan, that's all.
