It never ceases to amaze me just how much quality literature is available completely free on places like IMSLP. I think it really helps us get exposure to more and more music now financial barriers are removed.
I'm starting to learn piano by myself, I don't even have a keyboard yet, only a toy keyboard that I'm using until I get my Yamaha 45 next month. I really want to learn the proper way, so these videos do help a lot! I do want to learn to sight read! You got yourself a new subscriber, sir!
We all need to start somewhere :-) Good luck with your Yamaha 45. I don’t know if you have seen this video. It should be helpful to you. ruclips.net/video/PGIv3PeLhqk/видео.html
I enjoyed your clarity. Thanks. Is there a way to read the left and right hand (bass/treble) simultaneously? I understand the broken chord and pattern idea, but the interval are far from each other. That slows me down to a crawl. Help!
I responded to your question against the other video so I hope that helps. If not let me know and I’ll see if I can think of another approach. Good luck1
It is part of Chopin’s C Sharp Minor Waltz (Op. 64, No. 2). It is one of my favourites as you might guess. You’ll find a tutorial on it on my channel that should be helpful if you’d like to learn it. Piano Tutorial: Chopin C Sharp Minor Waltz (Op. 64 No. 2) ruclips.net/video/u3hjFe0QLIU/видео.html
Waltz in C#minor! Excellent choice!
