I got interrupted, so finally back to finish the video. Love both cards--designs & the ombre look! I never take time to do a sentiment like you did, but you've inspired me! I have this set & I'm going to pull it our now! We get very little snow, so it's always a treat now that we're retired & can enjoy it from home. My favorite environment ever was when we used to go cross country skiing. Often we'd be the only ones on the trail. It was so beautifully peaceful--worth having freezing cold fingers!

Your card is ever so pretty; I need to get some of the mini blending brushes for detailed stenciling. I hear you about 'snow anxiety'; I have the same. While I love the beauty and peacefulness of big, fluffy flakes, when they land on the sidewalks and roads, melt then freeze...yikes! Driving in snow or walking on ice is just full-on scary. Colouring the paste reusing the stencil is a lovely technique I have never used, thanks for sharing! Both the cards look great, love the touch of cutting the top of the snowflakes and the design of the second one is just gorgeous, fabulous take of the sketch! Here in my zone snow doesn't fall, I have to drive a hour or two to find some. I love snow, especially seeing it falling down, but don't like the cold... :D Winter isn't my season :)
I love the idea of using paste and blending color over it. I can't say that I love the snow, but it is so pretty and quiet when it snows. We don't get at much here in Eastern Pennsylvania, US as we used to. I hope your boys enjoy the snow over the weekend.
I did not grow up where it snowed - from memory we may have had a couple of flurries of snow, but the snow melted as it hit the ground. I have been "up the mountain" (Ruapehu), a couple of times in the winter as an adult, but I don't really enjoy snow :) I have also been driven through falling snow, and it was skeery!! No snow down here in the South West, there's something magical about seeing snow falling isn't there but don't like the slushy stuff prefer the crunch under your feet! Two petty makes and I love the colours 😍

Your snowflake cards are gorgeous Bev. I really like the colour scheme you used. I love the look of snow but don't like the reality of trying to get around in it. I've never been one for sledging or playing in snow so just watch it from the window. Like you as I've gotten older I'm nervous of driving in icy conditions but luckily don't have to worry about that so much since I took early retirement lol!
Hello Bev, love a snowflake card. We had snow in Lincolnshire today - not much just a sprinkling on the ground. Unfortunately fog set in which was not nice. Love the blue aqua colour. I love looking at snow but not going out in it, especially when it gets slushy and it freezes. If anyone can slip over it will be me!
Beautiful cards and a good explanation. Thanks for sharing. I like snow and the quietness. Everything looks clean and bright. But I don't like driving car when it snows. Over here in west of Germany close to the dutch boarder we do not get a lot of snow and when we have some unfortunately it doesn't stay for a long time ...
Such a pretty card. As a Yorkshire lass now living in Australia I do miss the snow and cold weather around Christmas time. Prawns , ham and pavlova just don't say Christmas to me.
