Reus the Malamute was gorgeous! One of the top dogs in the breed this year. So happy to see a malamute recognize in the group, can't believe it's been since 2005 that we've gotten to see a malamute in the best in show line up
The only dog Owner/Handler who greeted the Lady judge got the grand prize and won the Best in Show for his well deserved Dog. 😊🤗😍 cuteness overload!!!! 🥰

That was sweet of her, yes. She recognized the dogs as dogs, not just as robots who had to be measured against their breed standards. If you watched the terrier group judging, that judge was also great with the dogs... she talked a lot to them and to their handlers, asking how old they were and telling them they were beautiful. She even gave one handler training advice -- told one of the bull terrier handlers to wean her dog off the bait as soon as possible, because she stacks well naturally and won't need it. She was acting like she really saw each dog as an individual.
I agreed. He didn't have to keep giving Winston the treats the whole time. Genuinely Winston listen to him. I have 2 frenchies myself and there are pretty hard hearing 🤣🤣
Even though I’m a huge Bernese Mountain Dog fan, I have to say this was the nicest group of dogs chosen for Best In Show in a longgggg time!!! The big dogs were OUTSTANDING!!! What a great lineup!!!!
I have a Bernedoodle… He is the biggest, goofiest, sweetest galute I’ve ever had. He rarely barks, but when he does, it echoes through the forest, into the field, and across the lake. Him and my Brittany are best buds.
I have a frenchie myself, so when they announced the winner, i also hugged my frenchie and congratulated her, and she was so happy and didn't know what was going on lol
I’ve never watched these and I think it’s funny how the big dog owners are running so hard and then with the little dogs they walk. Especially the frenchie 😂😂
It really was a stellar group. The diversity in a few of the groups was impressive. Hoping junk breeders don't take advantage of this win - and animal lovers know what I'm talking about. Please rescue and adopt. 💙🙏🐾🐶
I wish they'd stop promoting noselessness and oxygen deprivation as breed standards for ANYTHING. Any judge that says it's not really a dog unless it's actively dying doesn't deserve to even LOOK at an animal ever in their life.
Soooo many purebred dogs are in shelters awaiting loving homes!!! Adopt don’t shop!!! Texas has a lot of purebred dogs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and flights to DFW are usually very affordable!!!!
The Frenchie is being “ campaigned” extensively. He has set a breed record that will not be topped for years! As a former handler, I am well aware of the costs associated with the attending all these big dog shows! Dogs that free stack have lots of experience and training!
So Pleased to see the King Charles Spaniel ( English Toy Spaniel) get reserve and such a Lovely Example of the breed. But Go Winston, on Top Form and such a deserved win, Congratulations.

The German Shepherd was the only magnificent one there! He fit his standard perfectly. Just gorgeous. How she chose the Frenchie over that stunning animal I'll never know.
What a beautiful Frenchie! Calm even temperament, let the judge touch and be near him without any issues, completely in sync with the handler's hand gestures and performed the even stance in co-ordination to his hand moves. The frenchie and the handler worked the best together, 2nd would be the Coonhound.
This had to be so difficult to judge---every single one was absolutely gorgeous! That little Frenchie was right on point the whole time though. Fabulous!
I love the French Bulldog I'm just worried about all the "breeders" that hurting and killing animals all in the name of profit. It's a huge problem. Lots of "hustlers" out there.
I agree. I think it's a shame that the breed has become so popular, yet it cannot give birth naturally due to the size of the puppies' heads. That's a serious problem in the development of this breed, and I wouldn't choose to buy one because of it. I have a friend who adopted a perfectly healthy female Frenchie that her breeder took to the vet's office to be euthanized because she had reached her limit of C-sections. My friend's sister worked as a technician there and asked if she could have her instead of her being put down. All the breeder cared about was that she not make any money off her by breeding the dog again. I feel so sad for that breeder's other dogs.
Can't believe a breed like a frenchie would win best in show with all the knowledge we have about them now. They have a long way to go to create healthy dogs, but I guess money talks! That spaniel also had breathing difficulties, and the shepherds back was so so sloped - so disappointing to see unhealthy animals being ideal breed standards.
im appalled at the german shepherd....omg. the back leg is just flopping as it walks....what horrible disfigurement. it's been a long debate to stop this "frog leg" standard. there's nothing about that back leg that is good for the dog's breed as a shepherding dog....
@Alcides Salgado Every other breed shows with flat topline, even distribution of weight and square set except the GSD. Has to have that offset back leg to keep his balance. His back and hips will be garbage in a few years.

all dogs are adorable, and I am glad the French bulldog won the best in show, I am a expatriates living in Shanghai and recently at a Vetinary hospital I discovered that almost 60 percent of the dogs that are hospitalized are French bulldog, mostly paralyzed and severe breathing problems, I hope breeders and dog lovers all over the world would only encourage good breeding and healthier breed with less genetic faults and health problems, not just for the sake of human eyes.
See this is the reason I don't like it when french bulldogs or any type of brachycephalic dogs win these shows. They are just glorifying and encouraging these crappy breeding practices and unhealthy looks because "people think it's cute and that's what the judges like". They don't care that the dogs get severe respiratory issues or that most Frenchies can't deliver puppies naturally and need c sections
I hate Am Staffs honestly. I have seen too many of them that are too aggressive to the point of being dangerous for others to be around. I know many will disagree with what I said, but I have seen these am staffs go after other dog in and around the showring. I would not want to own or handle any breed that is known for aggression.
Wondering why the German Shepherd's back legs are SO much shorter than it's front legs. In all the shepherds I've seen there is a slight difference, but in this dog here it is a huge difference.
Many show GSD are bred that way. It is considered desirable for the breed in the show dog world. In reality it is extremely bad for the health and well being of the breed. Healthy working line GSD do not have this extreme trait, because it hinders their working ability. I am so glad the GSD didn't win because if it did then it's just rewarding the breeders for breeding an unhealthy animal.

In my opinion, they look really deformed. Who would want a dog with such a severe slant in its back which would be considered a birth defect in any other breed? I just don't get it.
@@suzanneyoung8011 People unfortunately use animals as trophies and indicators of wealth. These breeds with terribly unhealthy characteristics are very expensive. Frenchies cost thousands of euro, not sure about dollars. For any one who is unaware French bulldogs have to be inseminated because their anatomy makes it difficult to mate, and the pups have to be birthed by caesarean due to their hip shape. They literally should not exist.

Interesting because the NBC broadcast on Thanksgiving day edited out the music. Also, they didn't show who the Reserve Champion was, so I thought they hadn't chosen one until seeing this video.
That coonhound was robbed!!! He was clearly the best, very disappointed. Although I knew it was going to happen because they hyped up the French bulldog to be the best contender.

Absolutely loved the treeing hound. His handler was also extremely smooth in his movements and allowed the dog to be seen.
The treeing walker maintained a Champion form the entire time and stood out among the other dogs. He deserved the win he was flawless.

I have owned a Wolfhound, and an Irish Water Spaiel! Both super breeds!
That coonhound was robbed!!! He was clearly the best, very disappointed. Although I knew it was going to happen because they hyped up the French bulldog to be the best contender.
