I loved the performance! The folks claiming she "doing too much" clearly haven't been watching her since her RUclips days and they just looking for something to complain about. They are the types of "critics" who will never be satisfied.
The more they complain about her doing to much will just give her the momentum to keep doing the most. I think people are upset because you can’t say she ugly, u can’t say she can’t sing and you can critique her dancing but sis can move…it’s giving I’m the whole package and I do these things well..so we have to ‘hate’ on the dumbest shit because it doesn’t sit well in our insecure, mediocre minds. Ciara made that mistake, too. There’s only so much hip winding and back bending matrix moves you can do before it starts to get old. I can also see Halle having layers too. She knows how to read the room. Her sister should probably do the same.

If it's not an enjoyable viewing experience for consumers they may continue to talk/watch her but that may never really covert into sales/streams/fans. I enjoyed this performance a lot more than the VMA performance but still it didn't completely excite me/leave me in awe. Something is not connecting for me with these live performances... I don't really think the song is a great song to perform live. This is the second live arrangement and it's still not giving me anything. Chloe's vocals are sensational but Have Mercy performed live is not working in my opinion. I was so in awe of both Chloe x Halle with all their UH live performances/new arrangements but with HM live performances I'm left feeling underwhelmed. Anyway, I will always support Chloe because she's just so talented and I've been here from the beginning. Hopefully the next single it's a bit more well rounded.

It’s ok to be a fan and offer a honest critique . The arrangement of the song was all over the place , and when she broke out into her DJ mode I was like I see what you were trying to do but no. It was a hot ass mess of a performance. She just needs to perform the regular version of the song and stop giving us opera remixes to a twerk song , it just doesn’t fit .
