Sounds like a beautiful weekend with your family. We are finally starting to have warmer weather here in southern Indiana, but a day at the beach would be heavenly. Funny side note, I used your video to prove to my husband that I'm not the only one who vacuums the bathroom. 😂 I have the same comforter/blanket as your green one but in black. I never thought to vacuum it! What a great idea. Take care Nonna, hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Mia, it's that time of year where the warm weather may or may not stick around. That day was such a tease because we had rain again and now overcast days. Which is good for my garden. I have my work cut out for me as far as weeding. I hope you opened your windows to let that fresh warm air in and lift your spirit. Spring is so exciting to me because everything is blooming, the birds are chirping, and it means summer is around the corner. I vacuum almost anything and everything. The bathroom is an ideal place to vacuum because it gets all the crevices. Your husband was probably amazed by your idea of vacuuming the bathroom after the initial shock lol. The only thing I use a broom for is to clean the cobwebs. These quilts that go on the bed are amazing right?! I have bought really expensive coverlets from Pottery Barn that weren't as nice as these but cost six times more. And these wash up so well! You've got great taste! I almost bought black but it would show Garfield's hair even more than the green. Vacuuming the bed extends the time between washing everything. I will pull back my blankets and vacuum my top sheet, it may seem gross to some people but it works! Between two dogs and one cat that sleep with me, my bed gets vacuumed every day! Do you have any furry babies? I hope you're having a beautiful day ❤

@NonnasCleanGetaway we don't have any fur babies at home, but we have fur grand babies, plus four human grand babies. My husband would love to have a dog, but I don't. I like dogs and cats, I just don't want the responsibility. I think mainly I don't want to watch them age and to lose them. I'm sure there's a psychological reason. Lol.

@@miareynolds8761Oh my gosh I totally understand how you feel about getting a dog. I said the same thing when I lost my beloved Cooper. I think accepting the fact that they don't live as long as us, it helps. But it still hurts! And God forbid one of the animals gets sick. And then the vet bills! I don't have pet insurance so I always get a little scared when I take one of the animals to the vet. So there are a lot of valid reasons to not want furry babies. Your reason is valid; you are respecting yourself. You have furry grand babies and human grand babies! That's perfect! You have the best of both worlds. How old are your grands? And do they live close to you?

My staple items are: dawn, vinegar, barkeepers friend, thieves (all purpose cleaner), Clorox clean up, and if I get bored and need something new to motivate me I will get a Mrs Meyers's all purpose cleaner. The thieves, you can add any essential oil if you want to customize it to your liking. Mirrors and windows; I mix water, a splash of vinegar and about a teaspoon or less of dawn. I normally fill a bucket a quarter of the way with water and use two rags..one to wash, and one to dry. Windows and mirrors are streak free. E cloths are also my go to for streak free stainless steel and glass/mirror/windows. I don't use them on the outside windows because those windows get really dirty so I want to preserve my glass eCloths.
