  • The African Country Where Women Are King is a video where I speak to some of the most powerful women in Botswana who share their journey on how they made it to the top. They also share their insight about how women play a crucial role in leadership in Botswana and how they have turned the country around from one of the poorest African nations to currently the fastest-growing economy in Africa.
The goal of this video is to inspire more women across Africa to take their place in the leadership of African nations and help to steer us in the right direction. Hope you enjoyed the video, please hit the like button and subscribe if you aren't already.

We definitely need a lot of women in Nigerian leadership. Despite the benefit, the corrupt system tends to frustrate those that try to come up. I almost cried when i saw a video of a woman in the senate meeting speaking passionately on how her efforts were being frustrated by her colleagues, including the speaker (or the person listening to her petition that day) who took bribe to dismiss the case tendered by her. We cannot continue this downward spiral of decadence as it is affecting us negatively in all aspects of the Nigerian economy and living standards. If not for the late Mrs Dora, our pharmaceutical sector would have been in shambles. She held a fight against fake drugs and fake consumables in the country. These are some of the mindset that women can bring to leadership in terms of empathy, to help develop policies that would benefit the country at large.

@bukolalawrence, the NGR society is so biased AGAINST women. The men wants to take everything to themselves and that's why NGR has been CORRUPTLY GROUNDED by these men.
You mentioned Late Dora Akunyili, See Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Head of WTO, Funke Adetiba, Oby Ezekwesili, Funke Felix-Adejumo, Chimamanda Adichie, Folorunsho Alakija; these are NIGERIAN women holding sway across the World where there's a level playing ground for them.

Wow! Thanks for bringing this our way. I'm definitely going to watch this over and over again. I'm inspired. Women should not be given things on a platter of silver, we should work for it, and prove that we can do it.
Thank you very much once again.

Dope video and good to see African women taking on leadership roles. I have to say that over the last few decades a lot have change in Africa and there are many countries with many women occupying high leadership roles from Rwanda/Tanzania/Ethiopia/Seychelles/Liberia etc... but there still more to do to make sure that women in Africa and the wider world are treated with the same fairness and respect as men.
