I was on benzos for 11 years and I weaned myself off them so I could get into the methadone clinic. I did a very slow taper so it was comfortable. I've now been off them for 7 years.

Where are you? I need you as my doctor I was prescribed clonazapam for almost 4 years and they took me off because I missed 2 counseling appointments because I had Covid and they did a rapid taper and I had almost 10 min seizure and now I’m taking street Xanax scared of having another seizure
Hey Ken. OK to ask something? I'm on buprenorphine. I was on 6mg and now at 2mg. I've been tapering off them. The longer I've been on them the more I've noticed just how unmotivated I've become. Anhedonia. Is this normal with prolonged buprenorphine use? Once I'm off does your emotions and drive return? Thanks
I am on 2 - 5 mgs Valium for years. I have cut down to 1/4 morning 1/2 in afternoon and 5 milligram at night for 5 days and will drop again in 10 Days to 7.5 milligrams hold there for 2 who 3 weeks then cut 5 milligrams 2.5 in morning 2.5 night hold there for 2 to 3 weeks the drop 1/4 morning 1/2 AT NIGHT FOR 2 WEEKS THEN HALF ONLY AT NIGHT FOR 2 WEEKS AND THEN 1/2 EVERY OTHER NIGHT PLEASE RESPOND
My doctor tapered me for only 2 weeks… it has been hard but I’m making it through. I finished the taper August 7. It got dark though… and I know it still can because my mind is extremely fragile because of it
Your Dr should go to prison for making you taper off of Benzos in only 2 weeks. I was on 5mg Lorazepam from 2008 through April 2020. I started my taper off Ativan in April 2020...very slow 12 month taper off of Lorazepam for me I took my last dose of .125mg Lorazepam on 4-10-21 and have been sober since then. It is possible to come off of Benzos, but it requires a very slow taper, not a 2 week taper. Again, your Dr should go to prison for making you come off in only 2 weeks. That is absolute bullshit, your Dr should be sued.

I was on 70mg diazepam and my reduction took 2 years. I was taking them for 10 years though. I'm off now for over 20 years.

Even after a long taper can you heal and recover during the taper phase or does it only happen once your completely off
