Very good review. You could also add that Dublin has two BART stations that are within walking or bike ride distance to a lot of homes.

Clean n neat. That's why Dublin is a good place to both visiting and dwelling. The streets are walkable.

@@SpencerHsu Except that price of housing is tremendously high. Unaffordable for many people.

I lived in Dublin for a short period of time in the mid to late 1990's. It's OK-- growing much too fast and has too much traffic and little urban planning. The biggest minus is the use of a contracted police department. The Sheriff's Office contracts to patrol the city which leaves the city at the mercy of the Sheriff if there are issues. In normal cities, the Chief works for the City Manager. In Dublin, the chief works for the Sheriff. If you want to get rid of them, good luck.

The population size has likely more than doubled there as they have so much empty land to easily build on. They haven’t had much issues given the type of people that can afford to live there so their business model had proved to be an effective one.

Congrats on the new job! The good news is that city has a lot of newer homes given they still have many projects over the next several years. 1 bedrooms are more limited since they tend to do 2+ but I’m sure we can find you something!

I used to live Dublin from '75-'83. OmG it was soooo much better THEN. The living was cheaper and more casual. Now it is just an overpriced RAT RACE that looks just like everywhere else. But that's the whole bay area now. Every part of the bay area looks like every other part of the bay area because all of it's distinctive features are being bulldozed under for an F-ing Walmart or Target or Home Depot, etc. Glad I moved out of there in '84.
