How do you go about making these sound so natural instead of sounding like the batteries are dying (if that makes any sense)? This sounds like it could've been the original mix.

i don't know how this guy did it but i know on Ableton Live there's a feature that let's you change the pitch but it keeps it natural-sounding, i think it's called formant-preservation

You separate drums apart from the rest, drums are still in their original tuning, but everything else is changed
