Great job Dakota and thanks Bobby for letting her do her thing. She done good!!! I like that Cessna 400 it was a awesome plane. Catch you next video Dakota it will only get better.
I'm in KROC, we have a Van Bortel dealership here that sells Ford, Chevy, GMC, Subaru and is one of the largest new/and pre-owned Corvette dealerships in the country. I bought my Corvette there! I really like the TTX!! It's fast, looks great and does not have the insurance penalties a retract has!! Not to mention the additional maintenance and complexity of retract. For some reason I thought I remembered that having some ties to Mooney?!? I'm probably confusing that with TBM though, that started life as a Mooney, and is loosely named after it, TarBes Mooney, or TBM. Tarbes is the city in France where the parent company Socata builds them. Anyway, very nice airplane!! 8) --gary
@@dabneyoffermein595 I believe you are right but she was suppose to take over the Flyingdoodles channel for Bobby. Must of had a change of plans. Weird Bobby hasn't said anything about it that I know of.
I flew one of those a few years ago before Cessna bought the line. By that time, I got out of the airport boundaries. I was doing 180 knots It was incredible how fast that thing is.
Awesome job Dakota. Your input and knowledge of these aircraft is a definite plus for this channel! That 400 is one sweet plane. Oh yeah, Hi Bobby... LOL
GREAT to see this. I would like to hear more on the flight characteristics of each plane, turns climbs. The comments on landing and speed were just the info I look for 👍
Bobby and Dakota, you are a good pair together in Flying Doodles! Bobby, great job with the placement of the GoPros on the outside of the airplane. And we need a photo of Dakota int the thumbnail. Keep going!
Beautiful aircraft! My experience is in Skyhawks, so I was duly impressed by your approach speed! Thanks for sharing this experience with me! I'm drooling!
Great video! Thanks for asking good questions. I am always interested in the speeds, especially around the pattern. Pitty the wheels don't go up on such a sleek machine but I suppose that is a good way to get cheaper insurance at the cost of some speed. Perfect stall onto the runway on both landings.
I went to UT Arlington and I loved just sitting at the coffee shop “Mochalux” on Collins and Bardin just watching the planes take off and land while I get my schoolwork completed. Great to see vids from KGKY. Btw, where is this fly-in community?
Dakota , I like your knowlegde about all the Airstuff . It´s definetly rar to see a person like you in 2 different situations . Being quite qiet on the boat at Sailing Doodles ( where you could be more active ;-) ) and here professionally in your Area with way more comments and questions . It´s really funny to see your inner change . Really like that attitude and knowing there´s a woman with an high IQ . Don´t get me wrong . I adore women that know a lot but to see them showing what they know and be capable of is way more interresting . That´s what you doing here and you doing well . Show more details in common and special details of the plane and aeronautics for those who wants to know about that theme . Well done Dakota :-) Curios to see the next video :-) Greetings from Germany , Ralf :-)
Absolutely a fantastic Job Dakota 👏 👍 do i see a Dakota Flying Doodles in the near future?? Hello from The Northwoods of Wisconsin... Scott and FuzzyNugget ( the traveling cat 🐈)
For a piston engine airplane it's pretty stinking quiet. The doors have inflatable seals which really help the noise, I can tell when I've forgotten to inflate them. I do an economy cruise, at lower altitudes I do about 175 knots burning 13 to 14 gph, I've seen 220 at FL180. The miles just cruise by, it is a true cross country machine. I've done 600 miles in 3 hours, getting vectored for climb and descent. At lower altitudes it takes about 3.5 hours. Climb does drink fuel, about 27 gph at 115 knots, I pull the power back to 30 inches in the climb.
Am I wrong? Why is the guy piloting using so much turning motion on the throttle during takeoff and landing? Not something I’m accustomed to, or does this aircraft use different throttle inputs than I’m accustomed?
Is this a twist throttle or is that just some weird tick the pilot has? Seems like it would be hard to make quick adjustments having to twist it like that.
Now to the Elephant in the room, aircraft like this one are exactly why "general aviation" for moderate income people, has become a dead dream. With General aviation planes , even used ones, going for more than 200k plus ,the dream of average people having and flying their own airplane like back in the 60s and 70s is totally dead ! Well, she's a natural. Congratulations to you Dakota and also Bobby for finding someone with Dakota's level of experience and ability.
Outstanding job Dakota!
Very enjoyable to watch.
You’re an asset to Flying Doodles as well as to Sailing Doodles!!!
And she likes to go topless...lol
U did a fabulous job with this video…. Well done Dakota!!!

Great job guys ! Dakota an amazing addition to Flying Doodles, a very knowledgeable and professional commentary..
Uhhhh, Bobby, where has she been? This is going to be sweet! Bring it Dakota!!!
One of the best Flying Doodles yet! Congratulations, Dakota!
I adore Dakota Flying. This is her natural environment. Very engaging !
fun fact, this plane is in the game Arma 3! look up the Caesar BTT. i probably have over 200 hours flying this aircraft in that game. love it!
Absolutely GREAT job Dakota!!!...congrats young lady!!!!....very professional!!!...a blast!!!

Flying with Dakota is fun!! I really liked the 182 flight and Dakota’s narration of flight maneuvers.
awesome video what a lovely aircraft wow thanks for posting
Great job Dakota.

Absolutely love Dakota. ❤❤❤
Unfortunately I have not achieved millionaire status in order to own a new general aviation airplane, in this day and time.
Now just start doing at least one dad joke per episode and you’ll be solid!
Good job Dakota 😊
wow, didn't realize this was a Lancair. Dude lives on the golf-course-airport, how cool!

Not going to lie. I got freaked out when you took over. Especially after what happened last time.

Too much fun!
We need more turbulence and slo mo!!! Similar to the dinghy rides with slo mo in days of old sailing doodles.
That was where cirrus came from.
Indeed.

Love everything, except the tail number. "Eight yankee yankee" simply does not roll off the tongue. lol
Nice job, Dakota. Is the TTx a certified airplane or Experimental?
Certified!
Her attire would distract me,,,,,LOL
Im in the DFW area. Do y'all have a recommendation for a flight school/program? Dakota are you doing any teaching these days?
Did you say this plane is a twin turbo? I only saw one prop but 2 air intakes. Does this plane use jet fuel? Who makes the engine?
Twin turbo. I believe 100LL. Continental TIO550.
Am I wrong? Why is the guy piloting using so much turning motion on the throttle during takeoff and landing? Not something I’m accustomed to, or does this aircraft use different throttle inputs than I’m accustomed?
Arlington GKY RWY 16, Caroll at ATC she is the BEST !!
😍😍😍
Was that Lakeway you flew to??
no. pecan plantation. 0TX1
I want one
Do you realize how much they cost?
Let’s gooooo
Cessna killed it just like they will kill the pipistrel panthera
Why doesn't Van Bortel ever post their prices?
How much for this particular aircraft?
Isn’t the fastest single engine normally aspirated piston production plane the mooney ovation. Approx 191 knots ? And for turbo the acclaim
You guys should update your profile pic so it both you and Dakota in shades, white shirt and epaulets ;-)
Yeah then they can tattoo their names right before they breakup 😂
Where is Pecan?
👍👍
Hey -
I've got a great idea.
Lets stick some GoPros in the windshield to block our vision, and see if we can get into a midair.
If it doesn’t, or I don’t, have a parachute, I ain’t flying it! Lol 😊
Snowflake 😂
Maybe you have no business flying in the first place??? 😂
I wonder how many people watching these videos realize this type of aircraft costs $10,000 per month to own and operate.
Bobby can you still fly as a private pilot?
what is that knob he keeps turning throughout the flight and landing/taxiing?
pretty sure that's the throttle
@@DaddymackLVyes, vernier throttle. About as advanced as an old locomotive, but fiddlers seem to like them for some reason
😂
@@MuzixMakerWe didn’t design the aircraft that have them (most of GA) we just fly them 😂
Is this a twist throttle or is that just some weird tick the pilot has? Seems like it would be hard to make quick adjustments having to twist it like that.
Shows your incompetence. Shows you’ve never operated this type of throttle on any engine
the other guy is a dick. You push and pull for big adjustments and twist for finer adjustments
Whats the knob the pilot is spinning with his right hand?
