    I recently bought an used AC3R and is by far the best guitar that I have owned, I've been playing it constantly, and the sound keeps getting better and better, I'm totally in love with it, much much better than a Martin and Taylor at this and double or triple price tag.

    Information:This guitar is $1,199 in Canada. :) I have a Taylor and i'm buying this.Cheers!A Taylor of this quality would easily cost $3,000+.

    Hey Rod great review
    I just purchased one the AC3R
    The electronics is a 4 Round buttons style.

    Incredible tone.
    Probably the best I have heard in a guitar under $1200.
    I just wish it was around 1/4" thinner at the lower bout.
    Also, the newer versions do not have the same electronics.

    I’ve had the 1st generation of the AC1M for 6 years and it’s been great. Love the feel of the neck and overall fit. A superior built guitar in my pocket range. The new Generation 2 is said to be louder and slightly better sounding compared to 1 st Generation but not having tried it I can only go by reviews & Yamaha info. Any of these A series will prove to be excellent choices. Enjoy. Thanks for the review.

    That strap button placement is very odd. Martins and Taylors have their buttons installed on the same side of the heel but closer to the fretboard, so when you play higher it gets cupped by the left hand palm. I can see how that Yamaha placement can dig into the side of your hand easily. My Maton has the button on the back of the heel as you prefer, but I find it causes the guitar to tip forward while standing, which introduces tension into the right hand as you need to push the guitar toward your body to fight it from tipping forward. Just a thought. Excellent review by the way.

    I use this guitar since 4 years. A top product. THE NECK IS THE BEST, and I used a lot of guitars.

    I own the newer version with a simpler pre amp, same features. It's a very nice guitar that plays like much higher end acoustics. My only complaint is the limited battery life. I get 2 sets in and if I didn't unplug it, poof. It goes from beautiful to crappy in 15 seconds. I use rechargeable now and change out every 3rd set..... or else. Surprised that I don't hear many complaints about it.
    My favorite guitar, yes, over my Martin D18.

      Hi, looking into buying this guitar. How do you find the bass response?

    • @mikegarcia3000
      @mikegarcia3000 Год назад

      @@nacienlos70 well, it's not as much as my Dreadnought, acoustically, but very defined and focused. Plugged in, it's the best acoustic sound compared to my Martin X Special, or the somewhat equal build of my Breedlove Concert. It's right under the bass of a dread.

    I agree about the strap button. When I am standing the guitar tries to rotate away from me. I also have an old Washburn that i installed a button where you indicated and I like that much better.

    A neck will "gloss up" as you "love your guitar" however , intonation is Priority! Thanks, I love the presentation. The SRT DSP samples do though stand on their own. Nice to see prior to purchase.Thank You

    very nice vid. BTW, Yamaha saved us some money by having it made in P.R.China. If that is made in the USA. that will be $2,500 easy.

      @rchamb9839 yep, my mistake Pal. I just purchased AC5R. Beautiful sound but some issues with recording due to the pickup placement inside the guitar.

    • @FrankTBird1
      @FrankTBird1 4 года назад

      @rchamb9839 Thinking the only difference is place of build and material used in top right? Anyway, I recorded this tune with the AC5R if you wanna hear how it sounds recorded DI ruclips.net/video/vt4RuUM7iWg/видео.html
      You will notice at times the sound becomes muffled when the playing is quite percussive. This is the pickup placement issue I was talking bout. At least I think it is, maybe someone can shed some light on it? I'm no engineer 😂 Thanks for the vid anyway Pal

    • @FrankTBird1
      @FrankTBird1 4 года назад

      @rchamb9839 thanks Pal
      That's really kind. It's at certain parts but overall I think the guitar sounds great recorded and that was the main point 🌈🙏

    Do not put the strap button at the base of the heel - it will split the heel!

  • @IggyBing

    According to specs I've seen, this has a slightly wider nut width than many guitars. Any comment on that? Easier to fret chords without bumping the next string? Easier to fingerpick without bumping the next string?

    • @nacienlos70
      @nacienlos70 Год назад

      Actually the nut width is 43 mm. The average width, other guitars have 44 or more, like the eastmans ac122

    ...Before you make that rash statement, better check- out the Martin DCX1KE which is a laminate....I have one and would put it up against any solid wood guitar for tone quality....

    can i just use a srewdriver to remove the strapbotton? is it save to do that without any damage to the guitar?

      I can't compare it to a Taylor because i haven't got much experience with them, but the action is pretty good out of the box. really low without fret buzzing
