Anyone who has ever baked pasta without sauce on it knows that it gets crispy and hard because it’s basically bread, this is not a good idea. It needs sauce to keep the noodles soft while baking.
I love this idea, two changes i would make is add cottage cheese to increase protein and add red and green peppers to the meat for extra veggies. I would also coat the bottom and top outside layer (bottom of the pan) with sauce bc i don’t like a lot of crunch in my lasagna. Beautiful idea tho.

Heat up tomato sauce separately while waiting for this 'round lasagne' to cook. The diner can spoon some sauce on their slice. And it looks like she sprinkled fresh parsley on top. I like her creativity.

You can always add sauce. Otherwise it would be too sloppy. I imagine this would work with dessert items or with puff pastry or filo dough. Amazing! Use a miniature bundt pan and pretzel dough and you have a Sammie.

I would recommend putting some of the sauce/meat mixture on the bottom before you put the noodles. Then when you flip it over, it will all be on top. So yummy!

Leave it out if you wish, but real lasagna has ricotta. I just made a ricotta cheesecake with a home made crust from a 130 year old Sicilian recipe last month. Italians love ricotta.

If you're really going to make it, trim the pasta sheets to be almost triangular (you need about 1/3-1/2 of the width depending on the pan and sheets) at the end you'll put toward the middle. And put sauce under the sheets as well. Trust me, you'll thank me after.

you can only criticize pasta. we demand accountability from the people who helped fund gain-of-fettucini research in china. the noodles they made alfredoed millions of people. they should get the linguini penalty, now that we know they understood what they lagsagna'd and then smothered it in parmesan so noone would know. ...whoever convinced americans to inject poorly tested sauce into their little raviolis is a criminal too. it's pasta time for this to be handled.
You've got a good idea. However you can't bake the pasta without sauce unless you like it dry and crispy. Next time you make it start off with sauce on the bottom before adding pasta, then more sauce after pasta, meat, pasta sauce cheese, pasta, sauce, meat, pasta. Then cover the top with sauce and cheese. I know you'll flip it at the end but it should hold up without spilling if you give it a moment to rest after removing it from the oven and then flip it fast. The only thing I worry about are the sides being dry but with all the sauce you put in and on it, it may stay moist. Hope this helps and keep on innovating!

Word! This is how a lot of Hispanics on the west coast make their lasagna, but not me. They use ground beef with no sauce. Shit has no flavor and is mad dry.
Great concept but here's the tweak: sauce the Bottom of the Pan, build your layers, and then sauce the top of the noodles once folded over on the top. After removing from the oven, flip over onto another sheet pan, top with more shredded mozzarella and put back in oven for 5 - 7 minutes to let the cheese melt on top. Remove from oven and serve. You're welcome!
Yes great idea, but I’d a little sauce in layers too, and I would cover it with foil the first time it goes in the oven to prevent drying out the lasagna
It's easier to lay noodles in a baking dish than to weave them like that in a bundt pan. If you make it like she did, you'll have hard crunchy noodles. You have to spread a little bit of tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan and a little over the top of the lasagna in order for the noodles to stay soft while baking.

I think I'll stick with the cake pan I typically use for lasagna and I definitely use sauce mixed with the ground beef. I also use co-jack & Swiss cheese (lots of it). Mom made it this way because Dad didn't like ricotta. It's delicious 😊

You've got a good idea. However you can't bake the pasta without sauce unless you like it dry and crispy. Next time you make it start off with sauce on the bottom before adding pasta, then more sauce after pasta, meat, pasta sauce cheese, pasta, sauce, meat, pasta. Then cover the top with sauce and cheese. I know you'll flip it at the end but it should hold up without spilling if you give it a moment to rest after removing it from the oven and then flip it fast. The only thing I worry about are the sides being dry but with all the sauce you put in and on it, it may stay moist. Hope this helps and keep on innovating!

Great concept but here's the tweak: sauce the Bottom of the Pan, build your layers, and then sauce the top of the noodles once folded over on the top. After removing from the oven, flip over onto another sheet pan, top with more shredded mozzarella and put back in oven for 5 - 7 minutes to let the cheese melt on top. Remove from oven and serve. You're welcome!

It's easier to lay noodles in a baking dish than to weave them like that in a bundt pan. If you make it like she did, you'll have hard crunchy noodles. You have to spread a little bit of tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan and a little over the top of the lasagna in order for the noodles to stay soft while baking.

I think I'll stick with the cake pan I typically use for lasagna and I definitely use sauce mixed with the ground beef. I also use co-jack & Swiss cheese (lots of it). Mom made it this way because Dad didn't like ricotta. It's delicious 😊
