I observed backlash & radial play at the transfer case. Backlash is probably not a concern there or at the differential. You did not display radial play at the differential; however I don't know how much radial play is allowable at the transfer case; therefore, I have no comment :-)
Tnx, Buddy! Hopefully, radial play is just from bearing and easy to fix. Will ask forum folks, too. There's already some gear oil seepage at transfer case output so, I'll research and plan on fixing that.
rad fourrunner of course radial play is from the bearing unless the housing is damaged and the bearing is moving in a radial Direction. backlash comes only from the gear mesh or if there's a chain drive
