    The EZOO Story:
    The beginning is 1970, so I'm eight years old and I arrive in England with my mum and dad. I'm getting a bit emotional but we arrived here and my dad was already here. We'd got nothing to our name but the dream of an immigrant is to actually make it in life and that dream is still within me now.
    So we started by my father's vision, my parents vision was education, you've got to have a good education. So he insisted we go to school and at the age of 16 my father was always pushing me to get a career, a trade, something I could apply work the world over no matter what happened. So I took up an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic and served the old school five-year apprenticeship.
    Immediately following that I did another two years and in those days it used to be one day at college, two evenings at college as well as full-time work. Having achieved that my visions, my vision started to grow and I thought I can do better than this, I can actually set up my own business and having been trained on prestige and performance cars, Porsche was something that I'd held in esteem, that was the ultimate car, the ultimate brand that I wanted to work with. So I had this vision of setting up my own business and to change it into the story I actually met her at college and I actually said to her, I said I've got no time for dating, I want to start a business so would you marry me and in 1985, A I started a business, B we got married and C with a little help from my parents we embarked on a dream that became a reality and that was to start Autobahn Porsche.
    So the vision was to become the biggest and best independent Porsche centre in the UK but we surpassed that, we became the biggest and the best Porsche centre in Europe. That's where the story changes, that's where the transition comes in 2012. I let Challenger pick the story up from there.
    Because really at that stage there was no real reason for us to change, the business was profitable, we hadn't achieved everything we'd like to but certainly we were comfortable in terms of the way the business operated and the real change was based around family, around our 12 year old daughter then wanting to study sustainability and I think the impact that she had on both of our visions at the time was incredible. That's where the journey started to be fair because we realised that we couldn't continue operating the style of business or the business offering petrol and diesel vehicles back in that time. I think the change came from the very first lecture that we attended, a sample lecture at Warwick University.
    At that point in time no university in the UK ran a sustainability course for a degree level and that's what Davina wanted to do so a three-hour lecture going to Warwick University completely changed our outlook and my outlook in particular because never did I think living in Kenilworth we were going to be affected by climate change. I thought that was something you see on the news the other side of the world. What I learnt or we learnt in 2012 was that 40,000 people were dying in the UK because of air pollution back then and that's why we felt we needed to change this transition had to happen.
