Wow, that was amazing. It's such a blessing that your Lola is still alive. 🙂 Not gonna lie, this video does have me thinking about visiting fam in the Philippines. I have a few cousins there who I've never met. 😆
u should go to the philippines!
Your mom did it the Filipino way. Mad respect to you and your family Jay. Stay blessed young man.
i appreciate that!
@@Jaycation yes sir no problem
That’s a blessing to see your Lola.
yes it was!
I enjoyed watching this video Jay, you have a beautiful family. And I like the church that momcation use to attend, and your grandma is so adorable!
Love it all!❤
thank you for the love!
This is what i always teach my kids humility and kindness..also not throwing us out into a nursing home when we get old and Alzheimer’s kicks in.. this is how Filipinos show their love to their families and relatives..👍 never forget where you came from.. on the funnier side of life, Barok is same as the dad in the Croods or the Encino man😂 enjoyed every minute of your video👌
Very well said.😊
thank you for watching. yes very important to be kind
yess
Jaycation thank you so much for this video! It’s absolutely incredible & impactful!something like this warms my heart! TY for visiting my Mom, lighting a candle for my Dad, seeing my siblings, nieces, nephews & feat Cabuyao where I grew up & for showing ur love for our family! The universe brought u to Cabuyao to tell ur story! Love it so much !❤️
its your story mi mama!
Lovely video Jay. I spent 7 weeks with my mum in Liverpool UK before she passed away.
im glad you got to spend time with her
I wanna reiterate Jay's message to Filipino Americans who have not seen their family in the Philippines. Go visit them as much as possible, especially your grandparents. I missed my Nanay's (my lola, but we call her Nanay) 80th birthday because I had just gotten a new job. She unexpectedly passed away the following year. It's one of my biggest regrets in life. 😥 And this was during the pandemic so my family could not travel to the Philippines right away to plan her funeral.
*Filipinos living overseas (not just Fil-Am). I don't think we meant to exclude.
To see your Lola ❤️❤️❤️ Priceless moments 💙💙💙
very priceless!
@@Jaycation 👍🏽🫶
Thank you Jay for sharing your family with us!
Thanks Maria!
It's nice to see your relatives on your momcation side in Laguna especially your Lola as well and visiting your Lolo at the cemetery. I'm glad you have a great time in there and all. 👍👍👍
thanks had a great time!
Thanks for sharing this side of your life with us I know it’s not easy. God bless you and your family.
thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch
Love this Jay. Always good to go back where our family came from. I feel like I’m still on vacation visiting family in PI. Thank you and Safe travels!
Thanks for the love!
Hey pare, I watch your channel off and on and never subscribed until now. Your Filipino vlog series really won me over. You did a great job with this one. My wife is Filipino and I am from Los Angeles. We enjoyed your Filipino series and we are really hoping to visit the Philippines soon.
Truly enjoyed the video.❤😊
thanks for watching!
Great to see the reconnection ❤
thanks!
This was wonderful, Jay!
thank you linda!
Thanks! So beautiful to see your Lola, and your Moncation Side of family. You sounds proud ,and grateful and filled with love for your mother. You're a good son and grandson.
Thanks for this Alex!
Thanks for taking us along on your wonderful journey. Its been a real pleasure getting to see your wonderful family and your roots. What a wonderful country full of great people.
thanks my friend!
Nice. I buried my grandma last year in the pinas and feel in love with the Philippines again. 😢
rip to your grandma
What a blessing to spend time with your Lola. I never seen my Lola’s or Lolo’s much because they were in the Philippines and I was in National City. That’s why I tell my kids how blessed they are having both sets of Lola’s and Lolo’s and even a Great Grandpa to spend time with.
very much a blessing to spend time
💐for Momcation!
This is a beautiful video.
The love you have for your family is wonderful to see. You not only visited your living relatives but your deceased ones too.❤
Your pic with your Mom when you were a kid is great.
Can't believe they built on a cemetary. Didn't anyone watch Poltergeist!!!🤦♀️
Yes, I remember flip flops.
Jaycation quote "Rice is my enemy". 😂
Agree, love tilapia but the filet. Bone free. The food looks delicious. Making me hungry.
The lady in white you mentioned sounds like La Llorona (yo row naw), story I heard growing up.
So many haunted places. The older a place is, the more hauntings I guess.
Watching as I am sitting in a hospital waiting room as my sister is having a heart valve replacement. Luckily it is done via veins vs open heart surgery but all well so far.🙏
Hope all goes well with your sister.
@@bobblebunny219 Thank you bobblebunny. Doctor came out and all went well. She is in recovery now.
@yvonneacosta2539 🙌fantastic. Glad it all went OK. She's lucky to have you by her side.
Thank you so much @yvonneacosta2539 for the love & support! We truly appreciate it!🥰we hope your sister is feeling well.🙏🏼
@@momcation9786 Thank you. She is doing well, coming home today.
I enjoyed the video man, good stuff! As the old saying goes, “if you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going” Cheers!
you said it! thanks
A great vid Jay. Family and connections are so very important. You did a great job sharing your visit with us :) You are appreciated
thanks for this!
Thanks for putting together this tour of your mom's hometown. I genuinely enjoyed watching it! How nice that you got to see your Lola and all your other family members. There's something special about knowing your family roots and the various stories about their past. It's a grounding experience and good for the soul.
very good for the soul
Jay this is one of the best vlogs I've seen you do. I'm not a fil-am, I was born in Makati but I came to the US when I was 10. I can really relate to your experiences and it makes me proud that the Filipino culture is one of the best in the world. Everyone should be proud of their roots and what your elders went through to give us all comfortable lives. Awesome vid brother!
i really appreciate that! it was great to return to my roots and see where my mom is from
All the feels reconnecting with family. Fun and wholesome video Jay. Thanks for sharing such a personal side. Looks like you have an amazing family. May the ones that are no longer with us rest well! You are very blessed!
This one was better than your Baguio one Jaycation. So cool of you to take us along to see your pinsans, ates, titas, titos, and especially your lola!!!! This vlog pulled at my heart strings because my wife's family is from sta cruz Mexico Pampanga and I last was there in 2017. Oh yeah and I've been to Enchanted Kingdom, but that was in 2007, when they didn't have that space mountain like attraction.
thanks for watching!
That is such a special memory of your Lola ! Ohana is so special ! Awesome Jay you spent time with your Ohana ! Safe travels enjoy your journey !
Thanks so much! Yes very special memory
Very heartwarming and beautiful to see you get to visit your grandma. Def can see how emotional it was for you. Very touching video.
thanks for this!
Thank You for sharing this Jay! Loved it I can see how important family is to you and how much you appreciate your mother. I live in Canada and almost all of my friends growing up were Filipino. The happiest and friendliest culture I’ve had the privilege to been apart of many times. Cheers brother!
family is very important! cheers to you!
Aww this touched my heart so much. I teared up when you saw your Lola. I’d do anything to see my Lola on my dad and mom’s side again. Most of my mom’s family grew up in San. Nicolas Jan Jose Pangasinan and is moved here to the states. The only people left in the Philippines is my niece and nephew from my cousin that has passed. But I hope to see them soon!
Thanks Josie! Hope u get to see your family in the PH soon!
Great video Jay. Watching this reminded me that I should go back and visit the PI. Life is too short! Love the story about your mom and how she helped out all her siblings, very similar to my own dad’s story! I watched the entire video, one of my favorites.
Ever seen the Watchman River channel by any chance?
love to hear this! hope u get to visit soon
whats that?
@@Jaycation RUclips channel. He covers all sorts of different topics.
I’m so impressed how you can speak Tagalog. I am one of those Fil-Ams that can understand and can’t speak. I’m trying now to learn but it’s so difficult as an adult!
Thanks! Its something i keep trying to improve on
Great episode. Talking about your roots and being proud. I can hear it in your voice. Respect.
very proud. thank you so much!
Love your video today. Thank you for sharing with us. Your Mom is the best. May God continue to bless her and all your family. ❤
i appreciate that lizzie. god bless you as well!
Jay this video brought tears to my eyes. Love this video and thank you for sharing so much of your family history. 🥰😊😭
thank you for the love! it meant a lot to make this
Wow! That’s crazy my family is from Tanauan, Batangas! Similar situation happened with my grandparents, so great you got to see your grandma and the rest of the family again! ❤
batangas is so near by!
I used to have those rosary and necklace but someone threw it away so sad. Thank you for taking me back to my country .
thanks for watching! Hope u get to return and get a new necklace!
I like this video of you visiting your lola and relatives in your mom’s hometown, Jay. You even went to the cemetery to visit your lolo’s grave. Ang bait mo❤. Your Uncle Art and I both enjoy watching your vlogs , and we agree that you’re doing great in what you do. So, keep vlogging and we’ll keep following ! 😊
Salamat my beautiful auntie! It was a very emotional and heartwarming day. I really appreciate your support and Uncle Arts too!
Hi. I am a new viewer. Its great and extremely heartwarming, to see you reconnect with your roots in Laguna. As a FilAm who grew up in California, it's like a whole different environment than what it must be in the Philippines. This video has covered pretty much of it all. And I'm looking foward to see similar content like this in the near future. Thanks for sharing..
Thanks for the support and watching the channel. It means a lot to come back to cabuyao and see my family
Love your family Jay & the love you have for them!❤
Thank you Michelina!
Love this episode thanks for sharing that’s how Filipinos do
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing , happy birthday to your beautiful Lola , many blessings for 95yrs , I left my Oma when I was 6 and I went to visit her at 15 , I have good memories of her , time passes by too fast 🙏
Thank you so much Monica! Time does pass by so fast
Hey man, I hardly ever post comments on videos - but just had to say your Philippines series has been really enjoyable. I've never been, and never had any thought of going, but the videos have been so interesting. Thank you for making such genuine content 👊
Thanks for commenting. That means a lot. Glad you enjoy the videos. A few more to come!
Thank you for sharing, my mom’s family lives in Limcaoco St, few houses away from your Lola’s house. It’s been a while since I visited my family back home since I moved here in the US.
hope u get to visit soon!
This is such an awesome video Jaycation. Thanks for sharing. 🤗

I grew up in National City too before moving to the UK.

You’re very blessed to see your grandma. Both of my paternal grandfathers died before I was born. Glad you got to experience seeing your Tita again. ❤
unfortunately my lola, my dad's mom passed away before i was born but i was fortunate to have 3 of the 4
Stellar vlog, thank you for the insights
I am looking forward to retiring from the military next year and visiting the Philippines to reunite with my relatives and friends.
Great videos pare! I'm also from San Diego.
congrats on retiring!
salamat pare!
Glad you are able to connect. And Happy Resurrection Day to you and your Grandma! And I’m thankful for what Jesus Christ did on the Cross. Even Mary herself needed a savior. And bowing down to statues doesn’t save a person from Hell.
Dude i see you wearing Aqua 8’s!! 90’s indeed bradr!
thanks!
Hahaha, I spent many hours in Plaza Bonita as a child! 😂😂
haha nice!
