0:14 Twins "only their mother can tell them apart" lolol I love these RS Turbo's. In the 90's my mate had a mint white one built from the shell up. He sold it and the guy wrote it off. This one is stunning!
Brilliant video yet again Adam 👌 just a quick reason why the Focus RS gearbox isn't used on the escort could be the shear amount of fabrication to get it to fit, the escort uses a solid rod type selector when the focus has a pair of cables, the escort also has a mounting brace under the box from the front crossmember to the back dont think this can be used and you probably would need to get a custom pair of driveshafts made ??? Both myself and my cuz both had series 2's back in the "day" and I've probably undone and tightened every nut and bolt on them 🙈😂👍

True, even my XR3i had a sunroof this must be a bonus or popular shell.
@@whynotagain3639 some of the earlier s2 rs and mk4 xr3i came with no sun roof but very rare. Plus people can change the roof skin
Nice! I had a Series 2 with a 1.9 conversion and massive turbo, that was quick at 255BHP. This must be insane at 370! (Defo look into gearbox, the standard ones struggled to handle standard power) Beautiful car mate.
Cant think of a better engine to put in one of these!
A tuned up light-weight 1.5 ecoboost engine could make this car a lighter more track focused car. Just saying!

I’ve had 2 of the escort rst mk4 s2 both in black & I sold 1 then swapped the 2nd one for a fiesta mk3 rst with a 2.0 zetec turbo. It was so quick but stupidly sold that after 3 years. Now I’m saving for a Mitsubishi evo 8 & I’m going to keep it & get the engine built professionally to run around 600+whp ✌️
Same here I loved the black series 2 I had 2 of them and 1 white also had a lovely series that some Muppet crashed into and wrote off..gutting! Still love rs turbos tho

Looks exactly like my old Q plate 90 spec rs turbo, same wheels , used to run at 195 bhp back in the day , even used to pop the standard yellow oil filler cap off on full boost
Always thought those are the best wheels on a MK4, together with Escort Cossie wheels which I had on mine. RS Turbo's are such fun cars.

When you floored it it was really really hard to control, I nearly killed a load of people on a bus stop when I was 18. I turned out of a junction, was showing off the power and it lurched right across the road and I just swerved back in the last moment. Was young and stupid. Lovely cars.

A friend used to have one exactly the same as this but had the 1.9cvh engine from America in it n was pushing over 300hp it was spin city any gear lol cool content as usual 😊

Always loved the escort turbos, a mates, dad had a series one took me out along our local back roads being a rally driver he new how to drive it properly also been in a s2 with a chip and exhaust very nice as think they had an lsd, this looks fun.

When you put it in first and took it to the rev limiter, it would make a massive bang and flames would come out the exhaust, I don't know it this was only with magnex exhausts. People used to think a gun went off and would run for cover.

Yes that’s exactly what it is-same as the injection one as well. The centreline of the ports line up perfectly although the port height is slightly less but they’re good for 400bhp 👍😊
