    As someone who has had dozens of hex reset BG-10’s break on them due to over tightening, the key lock ones are MEGA satisfying to operate

    Mixture of system sensor and gentex devices reminds me of my school. We have System Sensor MA12/24 horns on hi/lo mounted above or right next to Gentex GXS 175 candela strobes which were installed when the system was replaced in 1994. The 1999 section has P241575s and S241575s. The 2007 sections have P2Rs and SRs, and the 2017 section has P2Rs, SRs, PC2Ws, and SCWs. The difference with the 2017 areas is that the alarms are synchronized unlike the rest of the building. Crap ton of door holders and modules, fan shutdowns, smoke evac system, and tied in with access control and shutters throughout the building. Pulls are BGX101Ls in most of the older areas and NBG12LXs in all of the newer areas. Smokes are all addressable Notifier models of various ages. Whole system is run by a Notifier NFS2-3030 and a bunch of different power extenders and SLC expander cards. Total of 39 loops in the building as it is a rather large high school.
    P.S. this is only the system in the main building. There are three other buildings tied in with connected alarm systems and outdoor alarms throughout the campus.

      There is probably more than one fire panel. The NFS 3030 can only support up to 10 loop cards on one panel.

    • @dale4231
      @dale4231 Год назад

      @@maxdutiel there are! However I don’t really count those. I would like to point out we also have a 2014 aquatic center with a voice evac system, and a very old building with three floors of classrooms. That building has old system sensor horns and gentex strobes

    That’s a cool mix of alarms! I love how they have Commander 1s and 2 or 3s in one part, L series in another, and voice evac. Interesting system! I bet my school’s system is way bigger. There are 2 huge buildings tied together and both have separate fire alarm systems

      The system at my HS is a notifier nfs 3030 with 6 loops. The whole system replaced an old simplex system, I’ve noticed that the devices poll weirdly. They poll really slow, even on flashscan, and sometimes the fsp-851s will just go solid green until it polls again.

    the fact that it took like 20 seconds for the fire alarm system to activate on one of those pulls is scary
    in 20 seconds a fire could spread like through most of that hallway by the time the fire alarms activated
