The most useful feature on this tool is the delta enthalpy. I used to have to take wetbulb and convert it and then subtract. This shows it in real time. Want to know capacity or how well a system is dehumidifying then you'll want this meter.
I realy like the SDP2/Sman4 radio sync function,(1) my sugestion is to replace the micron gauge with a RLA radio sync function.RLA is one of the most important functions that all the gauge set manufactures are over looking. Amprobe has a WATT function, team up with Amprobe. refrigerant gas has oil mixed into it, each time the gauges are hooked to a system you contaminate the micron gauge sensor, so it stops working. Washing it out with demineralized alchahol doesn't work. (2) next sugestion is to make the SMAN5 1.5 inches narrower.(3) Change the K probe clamps to a smaller compact version and to thinner more flexible black wires, and put a zippered pouch behind the gaugeset to contain the clamps.(4) improve the screen quality to a colored phone like screen and keep the screen "on the gauge set", drop the Iphone app idea, my hands always have condenser dust, blue leak lock, refrigerant oil, condenser fan 20 wt oil, red trace, Supco oil additive, roof tar, can insulation foam, armaflex glue, PVC cement, and alot of sweat and dirt on them. (5) My eyes get fatigued working a couple hours on a bright roof and bright yellow doesn't absorb light, it adds to the fatigue. I would go to durable black rubber with a yellow Fieldpiece logo.(6) This winter I was on a roof in Cleveland it was 2 degrees farenheit -12 wind chill, I was liquid charging a walk in cooler condensing unit with my Testo gaugeset, it was so cold the O rings weren't seating and liquid was pouring out the knobs, my sugestion would be to drop the aluminum and go to bronze with better seals for vacuum integerity. (7) And a second set of T1 & T2 readings with remote transmitters, for evap coil TD (txv adjustment) or evap delta T air temp monitoring while charging. Oh yeah, keep the price reasonable too, this would be the best gauge set ever, good luck.
