@@gemmas4829 how come some athletes wear them and others don't? Same for the ankle thingies I see? I ask because I have never been taught about any of these things, apparently have great wrists and crappy ankles (I've rolled both sides of my right ankle and quit the sport with frustration on that front. No one told me about these things you can Wear)
umm a) NCAA judging is not so hash, so you won't see huge differences between the scores anyway. b) Gymnastics does not make sense if you try to compare gymnasts. Does a gymnast with naturally super straight knees and pointed toes get more points than a gymnast with "regular" straight knees and pointed toes? The second gymnast has a higher chance of getting deducted but eventually, they both don't get a deduction and neither get additional points even if the first woman's gymnastics may be more beautiful. Same with style of routine, expression, dance, etc. (and even difficulty in this league) c) Paulines routine was different but not less than Ohashis (in my opinion). They have different tumbling passes, different music, different dance --> NOT comparable
Hi my name's Catrina I perhaps from the judges viewpoint I am although from my own perspective I am not. I’m no gymnast nor pretend I know what the judges look for when scoring. Using the two videos I viewed as reference and for comparisons and going with what I saw and liked, my statement is spot on.
I love Pauline's uniqueness and miss Val's choreography! She fits perfectly into her alien supermodel in France character
Thanks for this. I was wondering what her character was.
I can't wait for this one to get her first 10. I think it's coming soon.
Still nowhere😭
Jordyn Wieber is doing something right
I love watching UCLA gymnastics
What I admire most about gymnasts is for the optimism, enthusiasm, and courage to do what they love.
your doing a GREAT JOB!!!!
There's nothing better than UCLA Women's Gymnastics!!!!!
Wait where were the deductions?! To me this looked more like a 9.975 or a 9.9
Meg Beth Most likely one was a 9.9 score you mention and the other a 9.950 there are usually two judges after all and they average the scores. 9.925
Large leg separation on the first pass. Idk where the other one came from
Total SASS!!! Excellent 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Beast mode!
Love her!
love you guys
How come Pauline gets 16000 views and Katelyn gets 16 million views? Pauline's performance was very similar to Katelyn's. They were both fantastic.
bird271828 Katelyns was a bit better I feel like. But Pauline is a very different type of gymnast. But it’s just my personal opinion
Hehe now it’s at 86000 and 42 million
Now it’s 112,000 and 240,000,000
She's amazing
Love gymnastics 🤸♀️
explanation pls
I think she is going to get her first 10.0 soon! She is amazing and she's only a sophomore
You want perfection in ability and body, then look no further...
Dancer she isn’t, but a gymnast? Hell yes!
I want to know her floor music songs so bad I've been looking for them for MONTHS. I know welcome to the jungle but not the other one.
Oh yeah yeah
Can someone explain where the deduction is?
Music?
Wow
I know is she still doing gymnastics?
@@urmom-sj9qn This meet was this year, so I assume she is still doing it.
Katelyn Ruiz yep I watched her perform yesterday at Stanford
wow best
She's beautiful
What are the things on her hands for?
jrg305 i think they are there so her wrists dont hurt as much when u do skills
They’re there for support because of the tumbling passes. You see a lot of elites wearing them as well, because that’s a lot of pressure on your hands

jrg305 Most likely coaches and personal preference on if a gymnast wears them. It supports that area protecting it from injury.
jrg305 Wrist guards -_-
I AM A SOCCER PLAYER, AND MY DREAM IS TO GO TO UCLA❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
WHY ARE YOU YELLING
Omg
I watched her
Dang zoom out
Pauline is so awesome and hot! Gymnastics is incredible!😍❤️💍😘 #WifeGoals #TheBae
Didn’t you say that about Gracie Kramer too? Lol
I love her flips, but that dancing routine..
regina smith she’s an alien supermodel
Prefiro a Kately Ohashi!
The Best body a lady can get.....is a Gymnast😍
.075 less than Ohashi? I don’t think so. Ohashi was so much more...everything. She does have a killer body. Wow!
umm

Eva Thomson dead link.
That should be a ten
Nel, parece que está enojada, la otra baila mejor
I just have one question , why do gymnasts have small boobs ? Just science wise , I don't want to be labelled as sexist / or anything else.
Nooooo. I want Katelyn
Then go watch katelyn ohashi
She just focus more on her flips and stuff not dancing
Her facials kinda had me uncomfortable lol
Chantel well she’s an alien supermodel
