Ive been suffering from my internal keyboard after being unable to press any button, now it has seizures when it just keeps automatically holding a random button that i couldn't deal with. I was frustrated by this problem. I watched many videos and did not get any solution. Most videos on RUclips present only the first solution and that did not help me. You have clearly explained three solutions and the third one did the trick for me. I must also say that this solution might prevent new USB devices to be connected automatically to the system, for example, a new wireless mouse and so on. Anyway really thankful for this video.

The basic method never worked for me. The best way is to manually remove the keyboard and disconnect the bus connecting to the port and place the keyboard back but without connecting its bus to the port. Now this inbuilt keyboard will not function at all. Only your external USB Keyboard will work. There is no need of taking this burden of playing with the software etc just disconnect the hardware manually with hands i.e. the in built keyboard from the port. Thats it. Now your external keyboard is the only board to work.

It doesn't matter if the power button is within keyboard layout . If u disable the keyboard then also power button works fine.

:0 tysm this actually works! You saved me :D. Btw if you guys do the third option (the one that worked for me) and you suddenly don't have the standard ps/2 keyboard in the file but instead you have the steelseries ps/2 keyboard delete the steelseries keyboard then your inbuilt keyboard will stop working.
(im not sure if this is true but it worked for me tho) I just want IT Master to Confirm whether this is true. I hope this helped some of you guys!
