Sometimes I think springs perhaps tend to conflate the translucent quality of their skin for mutedness.

yes, i find that i am indeed a true spring but i gravitate to muted colors because black makes me look sallow. blues look great on me but coral and peachy tones make me look so vibrant and complements my rosacea and natural lip color. no wonder i have always felt cool colors were a little off. i also have an olive overtone which made me confused on my undertone i always thought i was neutral cool.

Thank you Carol, that helps a lot. I don't look anything like the warm autumn or have golden blonde hair, but I do recognize myself in that muted autumn lady!

Thank you, you've really helped me with this video, I consider myself a soft autumn, brown hair and green eyes, but didn't think I could wear an ash brown. So I'm going to give it a go 👍.

I have medium tone hair. It's only light on the ends, fairly dull at the root. It's somewhat golden but it's not particularly blonde either. The other basic theories lead me to soft autumn because of low contrast, warmth and low saturation, but I find certain spring colours work better than the destaurated ones.

Hi Carol, what season palette is the background for this video?

It is very interesting you say this because I have been done many of the seasons and when I was a young little girl I was called goldly locks but throughout the years of color analysis I was always done as a summer usually a soft summer and only one time in person a woman did me as a warm Spring because she said I had very golden warm skin and I looked great and copper as well this definitely is food for thought I am curious how I would even go about getting a color analysis done by you perhaps if you have time you could let me know if he would be Be able to help me in regards to clarification I hope you read this thank you so much

Can someone have some auburn qualities to their medium brown hair and still be considered a muted autumn or does that rule out a muted season entirely in favor of one of the warmer palettes?

I am also interested in the answer to this question.

For what it’s worth: i’ve seen a video with a red head that turned out to be a muted autumn! That was on another channel, Sarah Ryan the style coach. But I thought that was very interesting and Surprising because of all the warmth in her hair…

I watched that video too. There's another one with the two Italian women in Australia that's also interesting. I think how colour looks with the skin is more important in those systems than how it looks with the hair.@@tessaspanjersberg8057

People generally can’t decide if I’m a Soft Autumn or a Deep Winter. Are those two even remotely comparable?

      They're kinda opposite

No, not quite. Are your features those of softness or of the depth/ high contrast? I don't think it can be both. It could be in between though.
