    Hi everyone
I hope you’re enjoying the conversations I’ve been having with the guests on the channel: if you have, my heartfelt thanks to you for giving me your attention and time: I truly am most grateful.
You’ll be glad to know, however, that I’d like this channel to keep getting larger and larger.
By that I mean, to be able to have the chance to speak to clever people of high integrity not just here in Malaysia but elsewhere in the region as well, as Asia grows in stature around the world.
And that means The Do More Podcast channel has to be more .. influential.
Which in today’s world, equates to subscriber numbers, sigh.
So if you could, please take a couple of seconds to subscribe to the channel, and if you’d like to be notified of new content as well, to click on the bell icon as well. Thanks so much!!!
Stay safe, be well and seize the day! Carpe Diem!!
    Bests .. Chuang

It depends on which part of Europe you choose to stay. Have stayed in the UK (London) in the late 70's. The climate and lousy food made me change my mind going to Paris. Paris was better but stayed only 7 years. Got married to a French but of Italian origin and finally transferred to the southern part of Italy. Living in a small town with lots of friends enjoying good genuine Mediterranean food. Built my own house in the countryside. After 40 years here, I do miss Malaysia but not that much anymore lately with all the stupid and dumb issues of race and religion. After more than 60 years that shows you how a lovely and vibrant and rich country can go down the drains because of a few incompetent politicians and their cronies......

As a retirement age of me, Malaysia offers the best varieties of food at affordable prices, in diverse cultures and races. Also, the medical benefits from the government hospitals. Also, the advanced medical treatments from private hospitals too, are much cheaper if compared with Singapore.....
I feel very comfortable here, home sweet home.
After having travelled to many cities and countries, every time the planes landed, I would go and look for the local delicacies😂

For economic migrants, after 10/20 years in adopted country, when their "granaries are full" and they are in their fifties or older, the racial, religious and discrimination problems they escaped from no longer that big an issue with them. The Western hypocrisy, double standards and subtle discrimination of foreigners (especially non-Whites) in their adopted country begin to irk them. The only one or two friends they meet and talk about the same things over and over again does nothing to improve their perspectives in life and other matters. That is the time they "rediscover" their love of their mother country and want to return to it.

    1. The notion of Najib's innocence in 1MDB scandal is a bit far fetched, what with the lifestyle he and his family were having, as well as many other things as you mentioned. Even if he was not aware of those things, that only screams incompetence, which cost our country billions.
    2. With all due respect, let's not be oblivious of what is going on in the country right now. Reform takes time especially when it involves 7 decades worth of deep set beliefs and worldview. Talking about crashed hopes/dreams at this time, and after not even a term of adminstration, makes one sounds like an adult with the patience of a toddler.

I’ve got a very different perspective. As a migrant to Australia some 30+ years ago, it’s been a fantastic run for us. My parents migrated over and in that single act of foresight, we were given the privilege of a university education, secured scholarships, landed great jobs with large companies and travelled the world. I cannot express how grateful we are to Australia. I’m unsure what it’s like in the UK but looking at migration trends and the number of Brits migrating to Australia, I would say that it’s not an opinion confined to just the whites in the UK. Australia has shown us how the enforcement of race discrimination laws has brought about a more equitable society. I’m of the view that we currently live in the world’s most successful multicultural nation. Australia Boleh!!

The first section where he talks about tdm is almost spot on. The good, the bad and the ugly of this "former" statesman is laid bare the last 2 years when more and more people are coming out to speak loud and clear on what they know about him. I was in awe of him , growing up and was still in awe during 2018. That changed in 2020 when he did what he did and started giving excuses and accusations for the downfall of the new "opposition" government.
That finally woke me up in the most brutal way and till this day i am still wondering why were we so trusting to this person who is showing his true colours with every passing day. He IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL POLITICIAN!

Having lived thru Mahatir and Musa Hitam era, it began with a bang, put in the clock in system for government servants, anti corruption talks etc.
Then Anwar and Baling happened, slowly Mahatir changed, especially after 1988. UMNO was deregistered and the party’s account was frozen.
To raise money, Mahatir put the government assets into the hands of Daim, who began the sale of public assets. Money poured in with which Mahatir bought support.
Then Anwar was brought in and the direction of the government went down hill until today.
Anwar went to jail and now he is PM in a country in a worse position than when he was DPM.
Dont think the trajectory will not change anytime soon, even if Anwar is replaced.

Malaysians are legacy of British colonial rule & based on merit system. The Malay political dominance have let to race based hegemony system. 98 % in gomen service from police, army to all sectors where government is the paymaster. This not going to change for a long time. No meritocracy anymore.
I have migrated to Canada, a land with rich resources & based on meritocracy, rule of law. My children got to the top university & are doing well.
I do have nostalgia over some Malaysian food sometimes but it is not my most important factor. Freedom from forced Islamic encroachment to my personal live by the gomen on to non Muslims caused great concern & depriving non Malay opportunities in education & commercial activities is another. Education is also failing due to political interference.
I have happily migrated to Canada, it has challenges but is small compared to those in Malaysia.
Remember, a good horse does not eat the grass it pass through before.

Malaysia is ofcourse the legacy of british colonial rule and it starts when the locals back then refused to have immigrants on par with the locals but british refused to care and many immigrants refused to go back to their former countries due to several reasons like famine, no money. Malaysia, especially in peninsular was and is always islamic dominant. for what reason they shld lower their right? its wild for immigrants to demand a country to suit with their culture and belief... its them shld suit with the locals. however, locals which is a islamic majority at that time still let people of non muslim to practise whatever they want..
its sad and look like systemic discrimination, however it starts from coloniser and those immigrants who refuse to suit with the locals rule..
