This save room, specifically, gave me more peace than any other. The darkness, the rain, the thunder, and the awaiting doom that lies outside that door makes this save room something to be cherished.
The Remake is _great._ But... nothing can compare to that eerie feeling the original one had. The Remake is a 9 out of 10... but the original will always be a perfect 10. After all... it's Shinji Mikami's magnum opus.

I have so many memories of playing RE4 on both my Gamecube and Wii. Ever since first hearing Serenity, it's always made me want to cry. That melancholic and calming melody just hits all of the right spots. It's so bizarre learning after all of these years that this one track in the game changed so many lives for many years to come. Including mine. Resident Evil 4 really is the best game ever crafted into existence.
I really expected a moment in the remake where Leon and Ashley sit at that room for a moment before going out to the horror that awaits them and chit chat a bit, while the music plays and it thunders. Like that elevator near the end of the game, where she talks about going to missions with Leon. It would have been sweet. Thank you for this edit!

My elder brother introduced me to the Resident Evil 4 back in 2017 when the seventh installment was still the talk of the day. He let me borrow his copy of it on the Nintendo Wii which gave me and boy, let me tell you that I played the HELL out of it. I remember falling in love Leon Kennedy, the guns he used and even the enemies he went up against. What I loved the most, however, was the atmosphere and music of the game; I had never seen anything like it beforehand and was, therefore, a real game changer to me. Whether it be exploring a village that was clearly disrepair, a castle that was run by the occult or an action packed island base filled with mercenaries armed to the teeth, I enjoyed each and every second of it. Aside from playing it back in 2020 on the PS4 (has it already been three years ago? Sheesh), I haven't touched the original Resident Evil 4 in quite some time yet, nevertheless, the impression it left on me will never be forgotten. :^)

Grew up with this game, always played it at least 4 times a year if not more for the past 2 decades almost. Still the most nostalgic and almost fairytale like game to me, it will never be matched by anything else ive played (The silent hill games being a very close contender) If i ever decide to have kids, i will do my best to try and make them love this game, so they can feel as happy as I am hearing this specific song later in their lives. Because this feeling im having listening to this is nothing short of priceless to me.

I grew up with this masterpiece and I'm still obsessed with it. I can remember the first time I played Resident Evil 4-I just fell in love with it. Even now, it’s my favorite game. Back then, during a tough time in my childhood, Leon-the best character ever-along with Ashley, navigating that dark and mysterious world, and Ada always supporting him, created by Capcom, offered me an escape from my problems. The safe room theme represents a true feeling of safety and home for me, and it’s so nostalgic that it can bring me to tears.
This reminds me being in my grandmothers room while its cold, blankets covering the window with the AC on after coming from outside. It also reminds me of around winter while my other grandmother would cook so bomb ass tamales or any type of Mexican food 😂 while i played this in the dark, waiting for her to finish 😂😅 i miss both of them.

What an amazing display of game design, this song does such a good job at telling you that you are safe that you don't need anything else. If this game came out today the whole thing would be covered in yellow vomit, there would be signs all around telling you it's safe, notifications on the ui, a pop up window, an unskipable saving tutorial and another sign on the inside of the door warning you that going outside means you are exposed to danger again

Remembering times me and grandpa used to play and watch this game. Now he passed away for 7 months now. Time really goes fast, brings so many memories and regretful thoughts. I still miss him to this day and watch our videos recorded together..
The most memorable part is when you exit this safe haven into the middle of the village. You are greeted by "Echo In The Dark" soundtrack, it is the scariest part as your visibility is substantially reduced, bumping into enemies isn't uncommon, not even your weapons can make you feel safe.
I wanted to go back to the first time I played re4, that magic of discovering new things. First purchase from the merchant, first boss battles, I really miss those times. It seems like that time was in another life...
Thank you for Resident Evil 4, a game I have played through dozens of times. I remember the first time I played through it was the PS2 version. During the summer vacation after the college entrance examination, I did very poorly in the exam. One afternoon during the summer vacation when my future was uncertain, I played through this game for the first time. Although it was only on the normal difficulty level, I passed it after many failed attempts at driving a speedboat. I walked through the tunnel and saw the finale. Later, I walked out of the house and saw the sun that I had not seen for a long time. The sun that day was as dazzling as the sunshine after passing the customs. I am still deeply impressed.
i remember when i played this game on my ps3 and was finally able to beat the lake boss at hard difficulty (was my first time playing but my siblings finished the game before me lol and thats why i have hard diff) and i fell asleep and when i awoke this is the music i hear. it was nostalgic and i really miss being 8 years old. i miss it when days were better and a lot simplier.
It's like I can still remember the first time I played RE4 on PS2. That first time I think I just fell in love with that game, and to this day it's my favourite game. It feels like, in a period of deep pain as a child, the dark and mysterious but also beautiful world that Capcom crafted here always took my problems away for a while. Whether it be exploring a village that was clearly disrepair, a castle that was run by the occult or an action packed island base filled with mercenaries armed to the teeth, I enjoyed each and every second of it.
Aside from playing it back in 2020 on the PS4 (has it already been three years ago? Sheesh), I haven't touched the original Resident Evil 4 in quite some time yet, nevertheless, the impression it left on me will never be forgotten. :^)
The remake under delivers unfortunately.

i played this game when i was 10 years old first time in 2007 and till this day i turn it on to sleep on it because on that time the idea no zombies could enter the save room would comfort me physically and mentally man i sleep like a baby when ever i hear it and (clementine suite) man my childhood was amazing i wish u all the best in life and keep living even if u have some falls eventually it will be beautiful

Grew up with this game, always played it at least 4 times a year if not more for the past 2 decades almost.
Still the most nostalgic and almost fairytale like game to me, it will never be matched by anything else ive played (The silent hill games being a very close contender)
If i ever decide to have kids, i will do my best to try and make them love this game, so they can feel as happy as I am hearing this specific song later in their lives. Because this feeling im having listening to this is nothing short of priceless to me.

I grew up with this masterpiece and I'm still obsessed with it. I can remember the first time I played Resident Evil 4-I just fell in love with it. Even now, it’s my favorite game. Back then, during a tough time in my childhood, Leon-the best character ever-along with Ashley, navigating that dark and mysterious world, and Ada always supporting him, created by Capcom, offered me an escape from my problems. The safe room theme represents a true feeling of safety and home for me, and it’s so nostalgic that it can bring me to tears.

What an amazing display of game design, this song does such a good job at telling you that you are safe that you don't need anything else.
If this game came out today the whole thing would be covered in yellow vomit, there would be signs all around telling you it's safe, notifications on the ui, a pop up window, an unskipable saving tutorial and another sign on the inside of the door warning you that going outside means you are exposed to danger again

The candle light flickering off the walls, and the lightning piercing through the window and the sound timed with the effect is perfect. Great job, too bad not many OST has affects like this.
Remembering times me and grandpa used to play and watch this game. Now he passed away for 7 months now. Time really goes fast, brings so many memories and regretful thoughts. I still miss him to this day and watch our videos recorded together..

The most memorable part is when you exit this safe haven into the middle of the village. You are greeted by "Echo In The Dark" soundtrack, it is the scariest part as your visibility is substantially reduced, bumping into enemies isn't uncommon, not even your weapons can make you feel safe.

Thank you for Resident Evil 4, a game I have played through dozens of times. I remember the first time I played through it was the PS2 version. During the summer vacation after the college entrance examination, I did very poorly in the exam. One afternoon during the summer vacation when my future was uncertain, I played through this game for the first time. Although it was only on the normal difficulty level, I passed it after many failed attempts at driving a speedboat. I walked through the tunnel and saw the finale. Later, I walked out of the house and saw the sun that I had not seen for a long time. The sun that day was as dazzling as the sunshine after passing the customs. I am still deeply impressed.

i remember when i played this game on my ps3 and was finally able to beat the lake boss at hard difficulty (was my first time playing but my siblings finished the game before me lol and thats why i have hard diff) and i fell asleep and when i awoke this is the music i hear. it was nostalgic and i really miss being 8 years old. i miss it when days were better and a lot simplier.
