      @timberlago 4 года назад +1

      Rather than moving the goal post anywhere, I think they could add a "magic orb" item. When you touch it, the level ends, so it acts like an alternate exit to the level. You can place it within an enemy (like with a key) to make it so that defeating the enemy drops the orb. You could also use it to make levels with multiple exits, which could add a lot to the world maker. Just thought it's a cool idea (:

    A few things about your idea:
    1: for the background creator, you'd only be able to use it in super mario bros, mario bros 3, and mario world styles. (Just the pixel styles. The other two would be too hard to impliment)
    2: You'd have to have a whole new interface for the background creator, like the sound frog.
    3: for the interface, you'd have a few different options to add to each panel:
    A: a set of different colors you can choose depending on the theme
    B: a fill bucket that covers a whole space.
    C: a pen, which does what you'd expect
    D: a thing that changes the size of the pen.
    4: for each panel, you can have a different background design, or you can copy paste one of the other panels to make them all the same.
    that's it. sorry it was too long, but this was my idea about your idea.

  • @kevindempsey7698
    @kevindempsey7698 Год назад +1

    I know I already said all of this in another video, but I really just can’t agree enough that they should’ve added more backgrounds for particular themes. They could add a desert and volcano background to the underground theme, and for the castle they could add a water, a frozen, a sky, and a final level background. They could also add the rock, beach, tower, and volcano themes; and for the tower you can switch between normal, water, frozen, sky, and lava. There’s also a brown background that you tend to see in the rock world, but I personally think that adding that background as well would kinda be pushing it. And finally, they’re should be more than 5 courses you can add in to one world in your super world. Now since this is a lot of new stuff, I’m definitely only gonna be expecting to see this in super Mario maker 3 if we ever get that.

    it doesn't even need to be that complicated, if we look at levelhead for example, there are multiple types of ground and background blocks. in the forest theme you have normal treetop leaves, spooktower stones, concrete, wood and iron als walkable platforms. and some of those have a background and invisible wall variant as well. It just gives so much more depth for creating separate objects without needing to use the same grey blocks for every house you want to make.

    A way Nintendo could have a custom music maker for SMM3 is by giving the player all of the instrument samples used for the music of that style. In the SMW style, the player can use instruments such as the steel drums used in the ground theme or the guitar used in the underground theme. In the SMW and NSMBU styles, Nintendo could have the player customize the bongo beats of Yoshi. They can also have the player use the sound effects that are used in the style, such as the hit of a Koopa shell, or the various sounds of the pink note blocks. They could even use the sound effects present in all of the game styles if they wanted to.

    What if Mario Maker 2 LevelsHad Stories? Hear me out, you can always put comments on your level, but its very tedious and it could get covered up by other comments. So as a way to remedy this, we could have the speaker box so when a player goes around it, they see a message that could create a possible story. For example, you could be in Wendy's castle and when you pass by a Speaker Box, you see a message pop up on screen with Wendy taunting you and calling you fat or something. With this, you could also add stickers that have all the enemies with different expressions making the world feel lived in. I think its a cool idea, I'd like about a 50 words limit.

  • @potato44_

    What about a tileset editor? You can create your own custom blocks, items, enemies, and gizmos, you can either edit the pre-made tiles (ground, coins, goombas, etc.) or they could make one from scratch! You would be able to draw or recolor the tile and then you can choose what it does like with blocks, you could choose if it is a solid, semi-solid or a tile holder, with items, you can choose what the power up does if it is a power up but if it isnt, you can choose how many coins it will give you and if it can reward you, with enemies, you can choose if it walks, if it walks off the edge, if it chases mario, if it can go through walls and many more! Finally, the gizmos, the gizmos could work in a simillar way to the labo garage where if something happens, this will happen.
    Likeif you agree!

    Good idea., Because since the last 10 years or so, I've wanted to see 2D Mario with new backgrounds, levels/worlds, & etc... With existing 2D Mario themes, before we ever knew that Mario Maker would ever exist, for example: Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3 & possibly world remade with New Super Mario Bros backgrounds/graphics, mechanics/physics, levels/worlds with the original power-ups/characters. Because Mario maker don't have a Super Mario Bros 2 theme & probably never will, sadly. Since Nintendo's 2D Mario production merged with Mario Maker, I like this idea on this person's channel. The ability to edit/create levels, world, & now or down the line, possibly backgrounds with different existing 2D Mario themes. Because, before Nintendo discontinued Nintendo Power, I read an article in Nintendo Power around 10 years ago, as Super Mario Bros 3's 20th anniversary someone posted that it should've been rereleased on Nintendo Wii, redone to New Super Mario Bros standards, updated graphics/backgrounds, courses/worlds, & mechanics/physics. Because there hadn't been an update with the old existing 2D Mario games, since 1993,94's Super Mario All-Stars for SNES. Because I remember when Super Mario All-Stars (SNES) first came out, it was like in December '93, January '94, because my brother got it for his 8th birthday, 2 days later I got Super Mario Kart (SNES) for my 5th birthday, because both me and my brother's birthdays are 2 days apart. My brother's birthday is February 12 & mine is February 14. But, yeah I really like this new concept/idea with Mario maker & I hope it does happen. Mario maker needs it, times are changing. Comment me back & let me know what you think? Later, man!!!!

    (Probably never gonna be added) I have a suggestion, if you played risky’s revenge, sonic mania or LBP3 you would know that there are these pads to launch you from the foreground to the background.
    It would be exclusive to 3D World, and there should be 3 layers to build in similar to Srr and LBP2.
    You could also build in the background and have no pad at all, so to say show off the enemy that will be in your level or just basic decorations. Enemies can’t interact with them but items can if your holding one.
    Meowser and Pom Pom can also travel between these layers if you WANT them to.
    Warp Boxes and Doors can’t be used in order to save space, and you can decide the spawn position of Mario.

    The background could easily be three layers, the back one being different clouds or maybe a sunset. The middle could be mountens, long fields, farms, cliffs or rocks and more, and the close one for the inside, or close trees or something. An then placing objects in the forground too. Solidless semis would help with theme creation (semi solids that you can't stand on) being able to choose ground decorations instead of placing lotsa blocks and then taking the one you want and copying it. Changing the lighting could help. Maybe a set lighting as in evening, night and other stuff. Night themes and water, lava and waving screen being possible in all themes would be awesome too.

    What if they made it kore simple. Each theme had a different song you could chose from. There are a certain number of backgrpunds you could choose for each theme. You could also edit the design of each block like the custom designs in animal crossing new horizons. Let me give a specific example. For the forrest theme, you have the forrest song, the beach song, and the overworld song. You could chose from the forrest background, the beach background, and a pipe backround. Here, you could change the design of blocks to make sand, grass, or anything that youd like. There'd also be 3 distinct designs you could choose from in order to get sand or a pipe floor without having to design it yourself.

    What about this: every gamestyle having their own background assets, and you can choose a couple (let's say up to 25 or something) and place them wherever and how far in the BG (in NSMBU and 3Dworld) as you like. Than you can choose one of ALL the tilesets from the official games and maybe some new ones, alltough that'd take a long time for nintendo to make. The last step is picking a song. This song can be from whatever game, even if that game isn't in SMM2 (with whatever game I mea Mario game ofcourse).
    That's how they can keep the easy-to-use aspect of the Mario Maker series and also give some customisation options.

    I have a feeling this should be only enabled on SMB to SMW since the backgrounds are pixles. They should have a small grid where you can change colours of things or even add a own custom level with custom tiles to make and custom backgrounds. You could add pixels in the background to make backgrounds from a mario game example: New super mario bros U's "Acorn Plains" and pixelize that into Super mario bros or super mario world. Wouldnt it be pretty cool? But the developers might have to take a long time making this happen. Super mario maker 2 just released their last major update and i hope this can be added if Super mario maker 3 gets made.

    That footage at the end is making me consider adding "Flip Blocks available in all styles" to my Super Mario Maker 2 top ten list.
    As for the theme editor I think if it's added it would probably be something simple like placing down an object, then having about ten colors to choose from, maybe an "Advanced Color Editor" menu, but not too complicated since if it is, it would probably be hard for a young kid to use. Anyway, a theme editor would need a music editor to go with it (which would also not be too complicated), and a ground tile editor. In the end, Nintendo is adding three new completely different creation options into one game. Definetely not as feasible as that Flip Block idea.

    What about a song editor? Sure, noteblocks are great, but highly limiting. What if you could compose the music in a separate editor (with restriction), where it is similar to note blocks, but then it gets written into a custom song, which you maybe have 20 slots for. Then, you go to sound effects, go to a drop-down menu, and select your custom song. It takes less space, and would be a good replacement for recording in SMM1

  • @RawlzMovies
    @RawlzMovies 4 года назад +1

    i thiink they should have custom themes. just have a selection of dozens of ground, backgrounds, and semisolids, and music. then you select the ground, three semisolids, a background, and a music track. and you should be able to choose physics and type of liquid at the bottom.

    My idea: Nintendo makes at least 2 variations of each theme. There are two different backgrounds for forest, grass, sky, and underwater, beach, and rock theme. The castle theme gets 3 variations of a beach castle, frozen castle, and sky themed castle. Same with tower theme when we get it. The airship background can just have different colored clouds. (red/brown, gray) The lazy night theme backgrounds would be redisinged for visual purposes and the old night theme backgrounds would be used in a new theme, outer space

    what if they made an option to tap on the nsmbu theme and then you can switch it between the ds wii 3ds and wii u themes with not changes besides the way it looks. then they could also add one for each theme to switch it to the underground version of that them allowing us to make desert pyramid underground levels and other sorts. as for the castle, it would probably just have options for the tower and castle themes, as well as outdoor versions. This could make a beach theme reveal be exiting as the underground for the beach theme would be the under water theme. I also feel as though this would make sense for a Mario Maker 3 because we can tap and hold on objects to change their properties and apperance, so why not for themes and styles? Heck, they could go real crazy and add sm allstars and make them retro and modern categories to tap and hold on.
