Completely agree with you on the pleather. I live somewhere where the humidity and heat is high, so over time, pleather peels. I suppose with proper maintenance, it would be fine, but after paying several hundred dollars for these figures, we shouldn't have to do maintenance for them to stand the test of time.

I completly agree with you although every figure will age anyway. Joints might loosen up etc but pleather part is where i agree

You're right about the pleather. I ordered some Predator figures a couple of years ago and, although they were "new," the pleathery parts were crumbling and falling off straight out the box. Ended up having to fix it up with real leather and later stopped collecting Predators altogether, purely due to the pleather issue.

Good preview video! I'm glad to have placed an order for Mace and Obi-Wan before they went on waitlist. My only complaint is the pleather and lack of hands. I would love more hands to play with as it can add more posing options for the figure and bring it to more life. We need to definitely complain about the pleather because we pay a good price for these figures.

I honestly don’t see a problem with Kit being next to ATOC mace Windu, mace wore the same outfit in 2 and 3 compared to ep1 after all. HT even advertised kit next to him too in the promo pics and it definitely works

When Kit Fisto fights Grievous in the Clone Wars episode, “Lair of Grievous,” he dual wields his green saber & his fallen apprentice’s blue one-so yeah he definitely uses both hands. He should have come with paired gripping hands 🥲 aside from that, stunning figure and I’m just glad they’re including the Clone Wars armored arms-such a great opportunity for customization.

Wow what a very appealing figure just wished there was more head-sculpts displayed. But besides that I would definitely try pre ordering this as soon as possible, appreciate the review justin and same goes to Ryan!

Living in Canada never had pleather issues yet on over 200 figures but keep fighting the good fight Justin. 100% pleather should be non existent. I also do not like the junction box not having to fight to hide wires and the main C cable. The wires popping out of junction so easily was a pain. I like the light up but how about rechargeable function? I’m sure it’s not easy but the cost for HT is not low. I would love to know what actual cost is to make a 1/6 HT $100US?

It says on Sideshow: "includes two (2) adjustable front tentacles (ball-jointed design)" So there should be some articulation in the front which is nice. I am a bit mad that they didn't include another lightsaber holding hand, especially for the Clone Wars look since he in the show was wielding two sabers against Grievous.

It is a bit of a bummer about the one gripping hand since he dual wields against Grevious in CW, but I am so happy we are getting this one. Was not sure it was going to ever happen, so it’s definitely a win. More Jedi the better!

If you ever do another podcast episode you should do a whole segment about the over use of pleather and talk about the alternative options. I genuinely don’t get how hot toys just haven’t changed it yet

Hopefully they get rid of pleather, use plastic mold man. I hate coating all my pleather with Angelus matt finish. But its necessary and protects it permanently.

It's interesting that hot toys decided to make ROTS figures now instead of next year which is the 20th anniversary 🫤 If this is the case, I really hope to see Yoda or Grievous 🙏 But yeah, pleather should be replaced!

They’re using pleather so much it’s starting to feel intentional, like they know how awful pleather is. I would like to hear hot toys’s explanation on why they use pleather instead of sculpted plastic or anything other than that goddamn pleather

I don’t understand who makes the decision on how many hands are given to a figure because he or she is being stingy for Jedi’s & Sith; but for Cain he’s got over 10 pairs. I have a feeling they’re being unfair to Star Wars figures.

Yeah pleather is a big problem as long we keep buying it there keep making it because they could sculpt it but sales said we are ok with it. It's like inart joker and the came out with a new 1/6 scale joker for fear of losing that i.p if we stop buying the pleather figures yeah there listen but it's not going to happen we are to addicted to stop.

I agree on the pleather. If these were sculpted plastic it’s likely a purchase for me. Pleather boots and belt equals no purchase. Sorry not Sorry. NOBODY should spend almost $300 on a figure and have to worry about it deteriorating on a shelf behind glass. Pass.
