- I finally got around to painting the adult alien models from AVP: The Hunt Begins.
I used a different color scheme for the adults than I used for the infant models. Mostly this was so they are easy to identify on the table.
As usual, I've used pretty simple techniques, but the results are a good table top standard.
Paints used:
Vallejo Game Color
*Chainmail
Army Painter
*Werewolf Fur
*Matt Black
*Dark Tone Ink
*Monster Brown
*Gloss Varnish

I really like these. I might try this scheme on some larger Gigerian style bugs for my Nids. Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you like them. It is a pretty simple paint job, but looks good on the table.
This would be a good paint scheme for a Nid army.
Just painted up a couple of aliens using this method. Great result in no time! Thanks! Great channel btw mate.
Robin Jonsson Thanks for the kind words! I’m glad the method worked for you. I’m all about simple but effective paint schemes.
We need more Predator and Marine painting tutorials.
Agreed. My buddy and I split the game and I was supposed to paint the xenomorphs and he was painting the Predator and Marine models. I don't think he has made any progress on them.
Thanks as well! I'd really like to know how you did the diamond plating bases though?
I bought sheets of plasticard with diamond plate on it. Cut out circles and glued them to the bases.
I got the card at a hobby store. I usually find it my the modeling or train stuff.
I hope that helps.
Thanks!!!!!😃
Are there any other way to make the heads (crest) look shiny????
Hmm. I'd say you could try lightly dry brushing it with a bright silver color. Or use a gloss black paint.
