    I was about to sign order for a Kubota kx 080, but you have convinced me to look harder at the Cat 309cr and I think I’m going with a new Cat D3 Dozier also

    Enjoyed the video. It's something I been meaning to ask you. It's about the 313 can you go into the main screen and adjust the speed of different parts of the machine. Like stick, boom, bucket and thumb? I've seen where DirtPerfects Hyundai has that feature. I enjoy watching excavator at work but we didn't have any like they today. Just curious

      Yes you can dial everything in to what you want. I need to do that now since I've gotten use to the machine. When the Cat guy comes and sets up the D3 I'm gonna ask if he'll help me adjust the 313.

      @@smithworx1091 that's great that you can get each movement of the business end of it to the speed that is best for you.

    How much do you make average on a job? Do you charge per acre?

    • @smithworx1091
      @smithworx1091  2 года назад

      I have a minimum I charge for each machine. Of course that price has changed since fuel is outrageous. I try to quote it based on the hours I think it will take. Then I let the customer set a limit more less and I stay within that limit based on a price per hour.

      @@smithworx1091 Gotcha, Thanks for the info. I have semi trucks and do the same as far as day charges. I have had the machine bug for a while now, can haul any machine with my trucks. Just wanted to know what kind of money a machine makes because same as trucks, they are not cheap to invest into right now. But, Alot of guys in my area say they pull in $25k - $30k during the busier season.

      @@jdiesel2823 that's pretty good. I'm nowhere near that but the machines pay for themselves. I just do a lot of other things so it's hard to stay on a machine that long. I wish I could though

      @@smithworx1091 Not to derail this section but have a couple of questions. I’m bidding on a 3 acre lot clearing. I haven’t looked at the lot yet so density matters. But if it’s like this video, would this size machine work or should I go to like a 20 ton?
