Late to the channel🤦♀️ but I just wanted to say, the back of the door organiser for the days of the week. I bought a similar 5 layer thing for my girls, after seeing this video, I thought it would be great for the new school year starting back in sept. It's changed the game in our house. My youngest has a new uniform for each day and a spare in her bag. It wasn't organised in the drawer and I'd often be rushing in a morning looking for everything together because some things didn't quite make it out of the clean laundry basket. I wash it all on a Friday night. Now when things are dry, they go straight in the organiser and spares go in the drawer once organiser is full. Works great, especially when I'm not on top of the washing. Just wanted to say thank you❤
Emily learning so many things from you, thank you and thank you again for all these tips! I have learned so much from you! Please keep up with all these videos!! You are helping so many of us!
Always love your hacks for mums. I work in school and the kids are always losing their PE kits, or wearing each others! So the stamp on clothing is an amazing idea! Love to see one of the kids come to school with writing on their fruit, thats so funny Emily!😊
I love the idea of planning outfits and lunches before you go to bed, so much easier. Also I started putting the stove top timer on for say 25 minutes at 8 am because we are close to her school...so when it goes off we go.
Just a tip for the pens (the one the rubs out) don’t leave them in the heat as they can fade out, I never had a problem with them when I used them but my friend did and she had to redo her work, great video Emily! I’ve started college and have actually been doing my work as soon as I get in for once :)
Thank you so much. The best hack i ever got off youtube is is the shoe rack. I use it for uniforms as my little one is in preschool so his uniforms are folded. I had to rewatch this as he is going into reception this September so i can incorporate more stuff
I’ve been watching you for years! Love your videos! ♥️ Been trying to find that particular hanging shoe organiser for the kids uniforms… could we have a link please
Seeing your children grow up is wonderful. My children have the same age and I watch your videos eversince. Lots of love from Austria 💚 (Please ignore my English 😂)
This was so helpful. I would love to know what other things like packing their own lunch your older boys do. I do way too much for my 8 year old but don't know were to start and what to teach him so he can have that independence
Love this video - it would be great if you could do a go out to work mum tips & hacks video? I know you work from home but I go out to work each day & would love some tips & hacks to help manage the kids & house around my job. I think others might find it useful, too. I know you used to go out to work when your kids were little, so perhaps you could draw from that? Just a thought xx

These are my absolute favourite videos, I LOVE your hacks videos, this one was really good and im so glad you added the shoe velcro hack bc I was trying to think back what it was you used. The edible pens thing is so cute. And your boys are amazing, I can't have any snacks within reach of my kids bc they'll eat them all 🙄 Great video THANK YOU ❤️
Erasable pens take me back to my own days at Elementary School, since they were included in the list of items students were asked to bring😍 looking forward to the time when my kid is this age!
A little tip for the erasable pens! They erase with heat, so if a project is going to be laminated or anything the ink will disappear! I did this years ago when I was in senior school and my whole project got destroyed the day before deadline 🙈
Brilliant video (as always!) which brand of thermos bottles do you use? I need one for my 4 year old for reception (with a straw) and am overwhelmed with the choices! X
Nothing wrong at all with not being able to read at 4. I would be slightly worried if a child couldn't recognise high frequency words and understand simple written instructions by 6 or so but nothing wrong at all with not reading yet at 4. I would read plenty with your little one (and make it stuff they're interested in. Lots of rhyming, pictures and poo). I always try and make reading really enthusiastic and not a chore. A lot of children are actually picking up reading more than we think they are through playing online games as well so I would (if you can stand it) pay a bit of an interest in that - let them explain it to you. I think the most important thing is to be guided by your little one's teacher. If there is something to be concerned about they can keep an eye out and advise where necessary. No teacher is ever going to accuse you of reading too much with your child though. Read read read read. You can read to them, you can read with them. You can even read near them. Talk about what you're reading and what your child's ideas are. Children are such wonderful, curious, imaginative creatures and they absolutely thrive off adults listening and being interested in them. It's also really great to bond with your child by reading with them.
We make up enough sandwiches for the week and freeze them in individual bags then we can quickly grab one in the morning. It acts as an ice block in the lunch bag but is defrosted by lunchtime.
Be careful with this. My dad used to do this for us when we were at school. If he took them out the night before they were fine but if he left till the morning they were sometimes still frozen in the middle!
Hey Emily..been a long time fan but only just subscribed as your channel is not the usual thing I’d follow. I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the years and just wanted to say that while it would be easy to dismiss videos of this type as trivial and a bit fluffy ,the more I’ve followed your channel the more I’ve realised that the real value of life is in the relationships we have with our family, our community and our world. You are wonderful in your presentation of this and you engage us all as fans in such a fantastic way. Anyway..just wanted you to know that. Great tips. One tip I have is to teach your children to untie their shoelaces when they take their shoes/trainers off. That way the next time they go to put them on they don’t struggle to try & get their feet in them. (This also works for adults.😀)
Hey Emily, hope you’re all well. I’m happy, good and well thank you good evening love this Back to school Mum tips and ideas video. I have really enjoyed these back to school mum ideas. They are such brilliant and great easier ideas too. I did thought the batch cook meal prep idea is a perfect one because it will get you into meal prep your breakfasts, fruits, vegetables, lunches, dinners and desserts in the week so simply and easily too. I love meal prepping it’s a lovely idea. Whenever I get fruits and vegetables I always cut all of the fruits of vegetables and put them in the fridge so I got them ready for the week ahead as well. My favourite easy and simple mum ideas was the meal prep I did actually meal prep pomegranate seeds into a jar and I keep it in the fridge so it easy and simple to use pomegranate seeds into yoghurt. I love all back to school mum ideas they are so lovely and simple to use for everyday purpose. I love your white jumper looks lovely and happy on you. Three of my own motivation ideas that I would love suggesting to you is practise becoming happy and better everyday of the week see if you can be really happy for the whole day always say happy and motivated things to yourself to make you feel better every time. Trying wearing different clothes in the week to make you motivated all the time. Make yourself happy will come naturally come to you and on myself too. I use all 4 of this motivated ideas all the time they really work for me with my anxiety too. Labelling your kids clothes or uniform using stamps and stickers is such a good idea! Using a timer to speed you up in the mornings is a wonderful one! Hocks is a nice idea to hang up costs or bags so you don’t see them on the floor. I like putting my bag on a stool or on a hock too! Ooh the elastic laces instead of having normal laces is a beautiful idea. I much prefer normal laces. Routine chats and magnetic whiteboards are a incredible way to organise yourselves for the week and it also helps you to plan and stay on focus too. I like doing the slimmer thing by writing a plan and list in my notebook and be productive in the week. Set alarms is a excellent idea to make sure you don’t late for anything too. I like putting my alarm on too. The night before as well. Eraser pens are brilliant too! Make your packed lunch on your own encourages kids or children on how to learn to pack a pack lunch and also what things you put in a lunch box. Chill bottles are great for the summertime! Great to go breakfast is nice to grab if you haven’t had anything in the mornings. Freeze yoghurts and innocent juices is a wonderful. Put all of the clothes into a organiser is a lovely and it’s all the clothes all in one area or place. Those clever hangers are really perfect you hanging up more then one thing into a wardrobe. Can confirm. Don’t use them on offficial forms or on work you need to make an old school copy of either (the ones that use heat).
Also if something is going to be laminated- don’t use these pens 🖤
