Hi Ross! Thank you so much for watching and we are going to make an indeepth equipment video this week but before we have another one coming up. If you get the F6, hands down you have a lot of fun with it. :)
Hi!
I absolutely love my F6, it's so good for recording loud to quiet and vice versa. Great for planes, fireworks and vehicles. On recordings made a 32bit you don't even need to use headphones to monitor if it's impractical, you can just increase gain in editing.
That is about right but its always good to check with headphones. A couple of days ago I recorded the gruesome sounds and at one point I had a weird crackle noise. It turned out that one of my xlr cables started failing. If I wouldn't had the headphones the files would be ruined. So keep this is mind plus its true that it's almost impossible to clip the audio files as long the sound don't exceed the SPL of the microphone. If that is higher no recorder can fix that.
@@FreeToUseSounds yes this is very true. I tend to get a reading and feel for the environmental levels and once the subject is in action and I know I'm good I pop them off for a while.
Hey Marcel! I'm a long time super fan of your stunning works. They really show the love you have for the beautiful craft of sound recording. Thanks so much for sharing it! If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you what microphones and what microphoning technique are you using behind that bad-ass wombag you built. Is it XY? AB Perhaps? Did you used the killer and affordable LOM pair? Thanks again! :)
Bruno Boselli Hi Bruno! Thank you so much for watching and your feedback! That’s means a lot! Okay so I didn’t build the microphone. That’s a Wildtronics Stereo/Mono parabolic microphone and cost around $1000. All I did was to DIY the wombat :)
@@FreeToUseSounds Hahaha, thanks so much for the swift reply! That wombat looks really neat, nice customization! Yeah, I assumed those were not DIY microphones, I just wanted to know the stereo technique you were using. My bad, I missed the part where you specify that in the beginning. I'm amazed by the quality of the Wildtronics mic!!! Were you using both the Wildtronics secondary windscreen + your adapted Rode Wombag, or just the latter? The results are outstanding. Thanks again and congrats on the channel!!! :)
Bruno Boselli Oh yes I use both! The secondary windscreen is underneath so just in case :))! Packing now and tomorrow we are already in Hong Kong! Let me know if we ever close to each other and let’s hang out and record some sounds :)

Marcel, I see in this video you're using the Sony MDL 7506 phones. They are a standard in the industry. I buy them used for a very little, then rebuild them and then have a new pair. A new pair can go for up to $150.00. I have gotten them for as little as $15.00. I'll tell you a story that happened to me many years ago. You could say that it was a recordist might mare.
Oh yes these a great headphones but I never liked the coiled cable so I switched to the Audio Technica which are great. I just read your story too. Wow :)
is there alternative to the usi pro? cause it’s sold out so often. do you heard about the micbooster mics from the uk? Some people recommend it as budget small condesor mic for field recording.
Hi again Marcel ;) I like this kind of video between adventure and sound discovery. Bravo! Thanks to you, I loved the AKG C 411 PP... Otherwise, I think it will be good to reduce the XLR connections of your microphones: using the Low-Profile version. You just need to find a good "electrician" technician and of course buy the 3-Pin Low-Profile XLR male connectors (with differents Cap's color and even an adjustable-angle cable) And to have a good listen without drawing attention, maybe it will be good to have the Sennheiser IE 40 PRO In-Ear Monitoring Headphones. See you soon ^^
Hi Ahmed. Thank you so much for watching and that would be a great idea. I think the challenge is finding somebody who could do that. I rather not mess with cables. :)
Hi marcel and libi, just want to know if you can recommend of an alternative same specs to the psi pro mics since they are out of stock on their website , great video as usual by the way , keep up the good work and stay safe
Oh I don’t have this microphone anymore. One of the channels started to create weird facing issues. It’s a nice sounding microphone but I paid around $1000 for it and wouldn’t buy it again to be honest.
@@FreeToUseSounds so what are you curre fly using on that boom? I'm intrigued. Also do you think the audio technica 4025 is a good all rounder ambience mic?
Yes. As I mentioned in the AT 4025 video. It’s definitely one of the best Allrounder microphones I have. I use this with the boom but my main equipment is the Cinela with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8040.
I know this video is about the Stingray Bag for the Zoom F-6. K-Tel says they won’t have bags until October at the earliest. Could you tell me which strap that you used for your F-6 before buying the K-Tek bag? Could you also be specific as to which strap it was as they sell so many? I would be very grateful. I’ll buy the bag when it’s finally available but I need the shoulder strap for now. Thank you.

Hi Sean, that is a great question and I talked to Tino from K Tek. They listened to the needs in the field and will release a new and bigger bag for the F6.

Hi Bintoro! Oh I don't use this microphone anymore. One channel created issues. But you can check it out by searching for the Wildtronics Mono-Stereo Parabolic Dish.
