Brekkie with Dave again with the advantage of getting a bit of Fleadh in also. Was in Drogheda for a few years, it’s a magical event, thanks for sharping this to your viewers. It’s a brilliant week for all even if your not a music buff
Thanks Dave….loved seeing & hearing the youngsters playing at the festival. I got into Irish music when my son dated an Irish nurse from Dublin and married there, Irish weddings are something else! As are birthday parties ….and even funerals! Like you I’m a fan of Riverdance plus Celtic Woman, Dubliners, Pogues and many others ☘️ I’d like to see more biking/music videos and I suspect many of your subscribers would too. All the best from Cambridge UK🇬🇧
Great video Dave. I wandered in on my trusty W800 for the final Saturday & Sunday (I only live 15 minutes from Mullingar) and you could hardly walk with the crowds, the craic was mighty. You're right, the talent of the young competitors is frightening although you do get a few chancers on the steet! It was in Cavan about 10 years ago and I remember that being even mightier craic, although I was 10 years younger too!
Dave I share your sentiments entirely re the Trad Music in Ireland. When we book our annual trip to the West Coast I always research whether there is a local pub that plays Trad Music, it`s simply a must for us ! As it happens the local pub when I`m camping in a couple of weeks has Trad Music seven nights a week, bliss 😄😄Fab video by the way 😆
Reminds me of the time the Fleadh Ceol came to my home town of Buncrana, Co. Donegal in 1975/1976 - I recall these were very hot summers. As a young pre-teen lad I wanted to record some of the music. My equipment was what would now be described as a vintage cassette tape recorder (the type that looks like a shoe box with buttons) and basic microphone taped to the end of a bamboo cane! No GoPros back then. ... maybe I should have followed a career as a sound engineer!😂
Very different twist to your regular video Dave but really enjoyed it. Watched a tv documentary on the fleadh in Sligo a couple of years ago and loved all the street performers. Need to attend one before I’m much older. Hope you didn’t get soaked on the way home. Enjoy the ride out Aug 20th.
Great video Dave , thanks for sharing , Funny I started to learn the violin when I was about 8-9yrs but as you say it wasn`t cool enough , so when I got a little older I packed it in , Now dirt bikes were much cooler so that's how I got into biking, Still didn`t help much with the girls though once I took my helmet off🤣🤣 Love the Merlin Jacket BTW , is it the Perton Jacket?
Hi Dave - was going to ask - did u get home safe - of course u did - u managed to edit the bloomin thing - great Vid - a few seconds when u got home and how long it took you might have finished well - ( says me with 20 subs 😂😂😂 “🥃” Whisky out!

Sorry I haven't gotten to comment on this video sooner. That was great! It's so cool to see the kids playing those instruments.
Cheers bud. 👌🙏
I must do that next year. Thanks

Good memories Rod! 👌
I like this taste of the music and musicians. Will you be going to other open air festivals, like the Ballycastle Lammas Fair this summer?
I very much doubt it David. I have a crazy few months ahead. There’s always next year though. 👌🎥

Lovely to see Joe Dolan getting an honourable mention. I did support to him for years in all his shows up in Northern Ireland Still missed.
Looked a fun day out Dave. I have no musical talant at all... can't even play the triangle! 😀
Hope you found your way home before the rain? 😀

Cheers Dale. Yes it’s the Perton. It really is a brilliant all year round jacket.
@@WheelieGoodTV cheers Dave I might have to invest in one 👍
