This man was being denied his right to make his phone call, until he pushed it. This guy knows his rights.
Note the racist words used in his direction. Bring the early 60s, the police could abuse prisoners, until the Supreme Court esbablished the Miranda warning in 1966. Unfortunately, the criminal system is still broken in many ways. Lady Justice, as she tries to be balanced, is still influenced by money.

I absolutely love the film ,the story is amazing the fact they were really good friends up to the both of them passing within months of each other. Tony actually passed first Jan. 2013 and Dr. Shirley April. And their friendship developed over a year and a half not a few months. ( Creative license) But please tell it correctly/ Dr. Shirley did call RFK but, it was in the fall of 1963 - just days before the assassination of his brother, President John F. Kennedy. Robert Kennedy was one of many important friends Shirley had, Vallelonga explains, but many of these high-profile relationships were kept hidden by the private Shirley. He was also friends with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Vallelonga says, but he chose to keep even his civil rights work quiet. According to Tony during a Time Magazine interview.

It's absolutely stupid but don't forget that white people fought each other in the civil war just like in Europe Germany fought against other Caucasian people and in Africa black people fought against each other. Sometimes it's not race it's about belief and culture. Take South and North Korean people they're both the same race but divided by culture and beliefs the same can be said about north and south Vietnamese i agree that it's absolutely stupid to hate anyone because of race
