    Great tutorial man!
So that is how Lock-Transparency works, huh? I always thought it locked the layer so you don't mess around with it by accident. This was of great help, thanks :D

You explained this so well and were so patient in teaching and explained everything! I love your use of color and attention to detail even in what would otherwise be... a circle! The character was so well done. This tutorial was so very helpful in helping me in a lot of ways, I'm so happy you made this video! I'm going to watch all of your videos! Thanks again :)

@@rikariskedlife Sadly not as much as I would like. I used to be way better at it but with no time on my hands most of it looks like I just started drawing. Work and life keeps me busier than I would like. I weld and work with wood a little bit.
If you are interested in advise, I would strongly recommend that before you enter the work force (since you are 13) stick with this and practice every second you can. Cause I didn't and I can tell you I wish I had. I could still get where I want to go with art, but it means carving out what little time is left in my day and neglecting other things. So stick with it. You'll thank yourself later. 😁

Fantastic! I have tried to shade things before using gradient, shade, and shadows - and none came close to making something look so 3D as this green goblin critter. Your attention to detail with those eyes was simply amazing! Q: How would you animate something like this if it were to move around? Or would you be forced to color each frame by hand like you did here?

Hi! This is a really great tutorial! However whenever I do this the shades look choppy and you can clearly see where one shade starts and the next begins. Do you know what I can do to fix this problem?
Is there any special brush preferences or change the canvas sizes or some option i should apply?

Why did you fill the shape with all black first? Also are your colors and fills set to 100 % of the tolerance, opacity, etc? ( or is it pressure on this app?) Do you recommend coloring on one layer or multiple layers for highlight , shadows and darker shadow? Did you pick red for the eyes because it is a complimentary color for green?

As this is going on 4 years now, in the most recent updated version, which I have, when you want to flood fill the ellipse, you need to draw it on a separate layer then open bucket icon and to the right there is the option for Sample one/Sample all layers, you have to click that to flood fill. At least that is how I did it.

at 10:00 or so, there's a white arrow pointing downwards at the critters head. When you follow the arrow the other way, it'll bring you to the menu'tool'bar where there is a (bended) line with some dots. That's the one you need to draw smooth lines. The symbol which looks kind of like a hockeystick. Regards, Michael
