I don’t play this and watched for Snapcube but I really enjoyed the energy of the FanFest and how the main guy and the translator seemed to have a really open and honest relationship with the fans
You should look up the history of FFXIV sometime, the original release was a disaster and this guy and his team basically took three years to rework the whole game and brought it back from the brink

Yeah CGI Krile looked really good. But I think they were talking about in general, and as far as Shadowbringers that's where I agree it's Urianger, no questions asked, the others look great, but he only got to take off that ugly looking robe one time in Heavensward patches and then never again

@@YaMamasAss I hardly remember anything that happened in FF9 (it's admittedly one of my least favs along with FF3)but I heard ppl on twitter saying that when they revealed the new monsters, the one in the middle was apparently based on a boss from FF9. I can't help but wonder of the main villain will be inspired by a mix of Kefka and Kuja
@@den7012 Stormblood actually got a lot of its inspiration from 2 and tactics. As far as 6 goes, it only featured a boss fight with Kefka. But thematically it was 2 and tactics. Especially 2 as countless others, years ago, already pointed out that not all but many aspects of SB story are beat for beat parallels of FF2. Oppressive empire, protags working with a group of revolutionists lead by a monarch in a secret hideout, Yugiri filling the Minwu-esque role, Fordola filling the Leon-esque role.
I’m slowly filling out my different classes. Being an Astro main, my physical dps class is dancer. And now it looks like a magic dps class for me is going to be pictomancer ;)
When it comes to the graphics update, you've got to remember, this game may be PS4 as the earliest console option, but it was originally on the PS3. That's why Kugane was the first city to be all in one map. We've been working on PS3 graphics for characters for the past 10 years. An update is very overdue.
Has anyone translated the text at 44:36? If it keeps the same rules(?) as the rest of the text in FF14 then it should be english words just with funny characters and since they want to be secretive about this area I wonder if that could give any clues.
i love the Viper reveal but OMG JP Fanfest and Pictomancer made me feel soo awesome! i love FF6 and Relm soooo cute! So I decided that Bard & Dancer & Machinist i'm done doing dps (my scholar never done with) Pictomancer, dps main!
If you think about it Pictomancer made the most sense because “Oh it’s green mage because turtles are green” sounds so stupid in comparison to the turtles being named after renaissance artists.
It’s tricky, because the shirt clues have run the gamut from extremely simple to quite obscure. Red Mage was Scarlet Witch; there the clue was as simple as opening a thesaurus. Dark Knight was Batman, and “the dark Knight” is a well known title for him. Machinist was James Bond, so you had to make the connection that he uses guns, and so does the machinist character in Final Fantasy Tactics. And infamously, Samurai was Spider-Man. The clue there was in the Japanese pronunciation of the name of the director of one of Spider-Man’s movie series. The Samurai one was such a curve-ball that it’s made us overthink hints ever since. But at the same time, “it’s green” is enough of a hint if that’s what they had chosen to go with. It’s tricky.
Also that one of the turtles has a staff like the green mage would use, also that there's a geomancer turtle in the Four Lords quest line, and how Krile was holding that clover, so much more pointed to green mage/geomancer than just green. To be honest, I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't, but I know I'll want to try Viper, and I'm happy for Krile and the players who got what they wanted in Pictomancer.
@@BorgWolf359 I want to specify that Green Mage was a job in one non-mobile game, Tactics A2. And you don’t see the full art for character or job portraits in the game itself. You could have played through the game with Green Mage in it, and never seen the part of the portrait that would have a clover shape on it. The significance of that symbol was, I think, greatly exaggerated in the last few months.
I'm glad so far out of all reactions i seen only 2 out of 15 reactors react very negatively towards female hrothgar. Which means a lot of people actually loves them
I’m still not a big fan of the 2D style of animation they’re using for the paint, but omfg we get to nuke enemies with a fricking moogle!!!! Instant sale. I am bought. It could do 3 damage from the nuke and I would not care. I get to fire a moogle at enemies and kill them with cuteness overload. Anything else regarding the job beyond that point is superfluous lol if smn wishes to continue being my main we had better get some Odin attacks or more primals or something cus… yeah
What do you mean by "if you support gay rights"? What rights don't gays have in the US? I've been married AND divorced. I don't see what "rights" I'm being denied. I could even adopt or have sorrogate if I wanted children (which I do not😂). I've been roleplaying a Female Hrothgar for 3 years (Using Viera with Werewolf ears). I am /so/ happy with how Hrothgals came out. :)

This expansion feels HEAVILY inspired by FF6 and FF9. The train looks like the one from FF6 that Sabin ends up suplexing
