Mandy’s father died of cancer shortly before they filmed the movie. When he was fighting the Six fingered man & saying his immortal line, in his mind, he was fighting the cancer that killed his own father
I was born December 1984 and I remember watching this with my sister multiple times when we were kids. We're 14 months apart. It still remains one of our favorite movies to this day. 💙💜
I watched this live and enjoyed it in a perfectly composed, adult fashion. Then 35:10 happened and I started fangirl squealing. Also, with regard to everything from 1:49:30 to 1:51:20.: thank you to whoever forgot to tell Mandy Patinkin it was just a table read.
🤣 You do realize that the story is not only about true love, but it’s about overthrowing tyranny, right? As Trump is a tyrant, this was an appropriate use of a table read of this classic film.
