It's like every shot composition in this video is just fantastic and you've got such a great eye and knack for putting it all together to tell a story.
kindred fall spirit here. I think for me it is the evidence of how things can fall away and seem so stark, only to be reborn after is my draw and constant lesson. Though, kinda seems like the dark side of the cycle to enjoy the dying and falling of things. lol. Anyway, the quote I always think about along those lines is from Heraclitus - "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man". For women, men, and all living things, this is our way of constant change. Cheers.
insert *cat reading a newspaper meme* - i should go to a forest and make it my next photo destination. Thanks for the reminder lol. This was great! Fall is indeed wonderful.
I love my R3. The button UI is fantastic. It's fast and can keep up with the wildlife action of being a bird photographer. IQ is gorgeous, especially so at higher ISOs, which is fantastic for when I am shooting in low light, high ISO rainforest settings. Sometimes features are important. It all comes down to the photography genre that you shoot. The camera is big & heavy, but I am used to 1 series bodies, having used them for over 20 years as an amateur.
I loved this video. You have such a unique story telling and composition style and it really comes through. ✨ Also, side rant, first time color grading log?? That was flawless, I never would have guessed. I've been grading my videos for almost a year now and I'm still hoping to be as good as this someday 😭 Thanks for sharing! 🍁
So jealous of where you live ! Slog3 is easier to work with than stanard profile pics imo. Make sure to shoot in 10 bit so as to have more data to work with and have the meter reading 1-2 stops overexposed for the best results, not with the 2 flashing, best result usually around 1.7 stops over. Set your zebras to 94 and then you can see if anything is clipping and wont be able to be saved. You can up your exposure until you see the zebras and then back it off just enough that they go away 🙂
There is a whole lot in this video I see myself in 😆😂 1) I love autumn, I really count down the days until it comes back because I love to get up in the morning, have foggy streets around and these colourful leaves between yellow, orange, some very pronounced reds. I enjoy taking 5000 images of waterdrops on fallen leaves. And I like to be outside at this time because most people don't, so I have more space for me without all the chaos around. 2) I should stick to zoom lenses too. The whole year a wanted a small portable prime but in the end I always miss my 28-75 G2 so it's a one lens setup from now on 😂 3) Occasionally I consider Log shooting, too, but I just don't think it's worth it in the end. Shooting 10 bit and even higher bitrates, converting it, grading and correcting .. I just use my customised Cine1 profile, it's ready out of the box, I can shoot it in 8 bit 4k 60 mbps, get small files, minor adjustments can still be done, saves a lot of time. With proper highlight exposure, it can look nearly as good as Slog2 but far easier. 4) I had my 1 year camera anniversary recently, too. 1 year shooting with the A7R III. 🎂
What an awesome back yard! Couldn't agree with your more about small cameras. They're fast and convenient and for city shooting (like I do) they're less noticeable. Good video.
Came from a Fuji XS20 and Sony A7C2 is so much lighter and more capable than ever. You lose full 3:2 videos and Fuji color but everything else incl lightweight lenses are better on Sony.
OMG, so beautiful. I really wanna live in beautiful forest and make beautiful videos. You are really living my dream. I will subscribe and watch more of your videos. Btw will you really recommend a Sony A7CII to a beginner?
@@BadSloucher Our trees here mostly 95% just turn yellow. Its still beautiful around Calgary but still... would be nice if more reds were in the picture as well.
Yeah good enough is good enough 😮
This was so therapeutic. From the footage, to the music, to your voice
i love this...
Autumn Leaves 🍂

Beautiful! I love autumn, too. Thanks for making this!

I have same size cameras Fujifilm x100vi and q2…I like to think how it was done many years ago. Go simple
AHHH autumn here today gone today it seems like. Dont buy a camera sight unseen/unfelt (if thats a word) is SO SOOOOOOOOOOO important
I prefer primes but zooms gives me more flexibility 😢
Is this Ontario? Our forests in Alberta don't look this nice. And do you ever get hoar frost in this area that makes everything white and fuzzy?
@@classic.cameras yes, I’m in Ontario! I have to look into hoar frost, we have something like that but not sure if it’s the same

... you might use your EF135/2L for taking pictures of your dog! Don't sell it!
