The triangle between Lahore in the east, Peshawar in the west with Islamabad capital of the federal government sat atop the Potohar Plateau is the heartland of Pakistan. As you will travel this region of Punjabi, Pakhtun/Pashtuns you will see the native peoples of Pakistan. Historically this was at various times part of Acheamenid Persia, after which Alexander the great marched through this region and rested in Taxila - today a suburb of Islamabad before moving east and fighting at Battle of Hydaspes or modern Jhelum. In Khyber Pakhtunkwa you will see remains of Greek era kingdoms at Taxila, Sirkap etc This is the land where west met east.
Breathtakingly beautiful the architecture is in Pakistan. Absolutely loved this one Alex. I enjoy a hamam bath once a week, thanks for showing us one. Isn't it amazing how the style resembles ancient Roman architecture? Pantheon, Vatican.

Aw man, I wish we'd found your channel before going to Lahore, we didn't know there were Mogul Baths there. We had an INCREDIBLE trip, but became quite overwhelmed when we went to the cities towards the end of our trip. Loved being in the north though!!
Many religions have similar beliefs so I won't go into argument. As far freeing birds, in Islam, there is a great eternal reward if you free a slave, a (ideological or unjustly trapped) prisoner, a bird etc. Setting people or objects free from anguish is considered a great deed. Muslims have history of buying off slaves and setting them free. Now people have made it a trade where they first catch a bird and then sell it for people to buy and set it free. That's not the real spirit, still better than nothing. We are supposed to do charity even if we don't have a penny as even removing a stone from the path of fellow travelers is considered Sadqah (charity).
Fabulous architecture. Wow. Too bad UNESCO grabs all those places and makes the rules, when the sites should be the patrimony of the country where they exist. Just imo.
Yeah I agree. Sometimes they help to preserve places that otherwise would be destroyed, but sometimes it’s too much and turns many places basically into museums rather than naturally occurring places on your route
Pakistan has been a target of media onslaught for the past decade or two. The west trying to portray Pakistan as an extremist country, where the reality is far from it. People here are so positive and hospitable. The level of courtesy especially for foreigners that I have seen here. I do follow some other vloggers from other countries, but I have hardly seen foreigners being welcomed that much as they are here in Pakistan. I have been vlogging for this for a long time to show the real side of Pakistan myself. I am glad that many have now started to discover the beauty of Pakistan. Cheers ~ Tirmizi

Who is this tour guide who says that in Pakistan we mostly follow Hindu culture. Is he out of his mind to lie like that and misguide a foreign tourist. Pakistani culture is a distinct Islamic culture with local traditions. Hindu culture is almost non existent.
I don't know who told your translator that freeing a bird is hindu taken ritual, he really don't know about islam!! Islam gives this teaching of freeing concept!!
I think the guide is referring to the belief of freeing the bird to make your problems go away. In Islam, it is a great charity (Sadqah) to release a slave, an unjustly imprisoned person, a bird etc. The aim is to bring harmony and justice in the society (Adal) in the society and consequently earn big rewards from God (but it might be part of a ritual or magic pill to solve all your problems in some other culutre/religion).
@@mashooque11 you are right. I did not say it coming from Hindus particularly..... what I meant is coming from somewhere like culture or other spiritual influences etc...
Rita rita, here i live in Pakistan here too much peace, but i don't know why you're depressed, it's not first time that Taliban government ruling on afghanistan in past taliban did rule on Afghanistan, they don't kill us . They want peace
OK it's a cultural thing to free bird to get rid of problems, but how about those who caught this birds & put them in cages, are they not getting all the problems in future?? Culture only says, pay to free the bird but the guy keeping birds in cage & making money by selling them? Pretty ridiculous culture, I'd say.
