@music feels Yes you can, there is an M.2 slot for SSD on which you can add a normal SATA SSD or even a faster NVMe SSD while keeping HDD on its place. Just remember to clone your C drive files to SSD for the speed diffrence afterwards. Good luck!

I am planning to upgrade performance of my laptop so I can do my college work & graphic, poster designing stuff without any delay in boot and rendering, (4gb+8gb)12gb, gonna use 256gb m.2 ssd for windows operating system and some photo editing & designing softwares & I am going to use provided hard disk to store movies, family pictures, college projects and important files because if any thing bad happens with the file than data from hard drive can be recovered by using some softwares :) Forgot to mention that this is the first video of you I saw and your video quality is excellent, like this kind of video quality I can't even see in some tech RUclipsrs who have more than 70k subs.. just you need to work on audio as @ 6:06 the breathing sound was little weird but over all video quality was awesome 👏🏾

I think the hard disk is not fast enough as the processor and graphics card are quite good . Also you have enough of ram . So for better performance upgrade the ssd and install games in ssd only . Please check your laptop first , if the default 512 ssd is m.2 nvme , then you can buy an additional 2.5 inch ssd . And vice versa . There are so many variants of lenovo s145. Hence make sure to check before making the purchase decision .

If you already have 8 or more gigs of RAM, and only have HDD, then an SSD upgrade (preferably an NVME SSD 120 gigs or more on the M.2 slot) will make a world of difference to the performance. If you've got 4 gigs of RAM, then it needs an upgrade (Because windows NEEDS 8Gb RAM to perform well). Good luck!

HDD might already be there in your laptop and you have Extra slot right above the fan for M.2 NVME SSD . now is the best Time to purchase I just purchased Samsung 512 GB Nvme for ₹6400 . It's best deal as I am looking at the prices since 2019 and it is the lowest. Go grab it .

Nisheet Jeet Pratap Singh Yes it does support . But i would recommend you to install a m.2 nvme rather than 2.5inch ssd . As then you can use a ssd and the already installed hdd as well .

I have this Beautiful laptop (lenovo ideapad S145-15iwl) of 512GB SSD & 8GB Ram..
Does it have an additional slot to add another 256/512GB SSD with the existing one? Can i also add 4GB RAM along with keeping my existing 8GB RAM? I have volume issues which is not loud enough & not satisfactory..would you plz advice how to boost the volume level? I have tried all way but failed...
Please check your laptop first , if the default 512 ssd is m.2 nvme , then you can buy an additional 2.5 inch ssd . And vice versa .
There are so many variants of lenovo s145. Hence make sure to check before making the purchase decision .

Thanks for quick response. For many years I ve not actually opened laptop or computers hence totally away from technology. Please help me understand the process. 1 I’ve to keep usb recovery drive ready. 2 install SSD m.2. 3 change the disk drive order in bios 4 boot the m/c with usb recovery and follow the instruction.

If you really want to go professional then i would recommend you to build a pc in that range . At 55k you can build a decent budget pc .
@@technerdtarun I have no clue on how to build PC and I'm kinda on deadline as I keep procrastinating buying laptop as the specifications are so confusing and i wanted touch screen but everyone wanted me to get others so it just never happened. I want something that can edit videos without lagging but most people say you need 16gb ram for it and under 55k you can only get 8gb so it's keeping me stuck

Ro se Do not got for touch screen its not as useful as better specs . And always remember in a laptop you can always upgrade ram but you cant upgrade cpu and gpu .

Which is best to upgrade first ram or ssd?
If you already have 8 or more gigs of RAM, and only have HDD, then an SSD upgrade (preferably an NVME SSD 120 gigs or more on the M.2 slot) will make a world of difference to the performance. If you've got 4 gigs of RAM, then it needs an upgrade (Because windows NEEDS 8Gb RAM to perform well). Good luck!
