It absolutely sucks that K-USA started putting out guns with poor QC and then went defunct. They had so much potential to rule the American AK market if they didn't slack on QC
It wasn’t so much their QC as much as their wasting cash on fancy offices and trappings rather than concentrating on just responsibly growing the company.
Ah, my favorite second round pick in counterstrike. Always wanted a bizon and seeing this kit is one of the main reasons i have an akv9 on my wish list
Like what you said about it's ok having a gun that's just fun to shoot. Too many people get wrapped up in, "but it's not a battle weapon." Have fun y'all!
Company still exists, based out of Oregon. My local FFL had one on consignment 2 weeks ago, and I was messing with it- pretty wild gun. Google search will find you the company website and info!
Speaking of 9mm Bizon, we Vietnamese made our own version, designated STL-15. Ours is basically a Bizon chambered in 9x19mm with a Galil-style stock and other mods to suit local conditions. It's in limited use with the VPA's Special Forces
"I'm not mechanically inclined, I'm the type of guy to try to adjust the alignment on his Jeep with a pipe wrench." Professional mechanics who do exactly that on drag-link steering setups: "Yeah that's crazy who would do that >_>"
Stuff n Things are local to me. I got my kit early on for the Draco9. I love this kit! It is a lot of fun and gets a lot of attention in my gunsmithing shop showroom. Thanks for video.
I love that you tell people that it’s perfectly okay to buy a gun because it’s fun to shoot. I have several whimsical firearms that aren’t “Go to war” guns, and they’re among my favorites in the collection. Who carries a Boberg XR9-L anymore?
Tim you could be a great Gunsmith if you want to, humble to say you are not mechanically oriented, but I disagree you are very smart, I been watching your channel for 10 years and many times you showed your talents with the tools that we like, thanks a lot. Always thumbs to M.A.C.
I think having the mag up is the higher way to go with how AK's feed. If you have to open the bolt so be it. Keep in mind same way the MP5 works you cant load a full mag with the bolt closed.
Back in October there was a guy walking around a gun show in rural Michigan with one of these on his back. I'm pretty sure I was the only one there that knew what it was.
I think you should've used your Franklin Armory binary trigger that you used to have installed in the akv9 . You know the atf nut kicker. And then tested the Bizon kit at speed.
I am very familiar with helix mags, as I have a Calico Liberty 100 in 9mm. Love that gun but hate loading the mags. A good 10 minutes to load. This looks very much the same. Peaked my interest. Thx Mac!
I love this. Oddly reminiscent of the defunct Calico. I would love one of these as a pistol variant for a PDW range toy. I hope, like many, the SBR stuff ends in the next couple of years. A no reload home PDW is really relevant here in Aurora.
If PSA puts these out as one of the options on the akv ready to go i would definitely buy one, the mags are expensive but having that much 9mm potentially +p+ on tap would be more than enough for a pdw without requiring a reload in really any defensive role
17:40 you won't get the mag to seat with the rounds pushing on the feed lips. The way you're supposed to load the magazine into the gun is by ratcheting the magazine back 4 clicks. This way the top round isn't pushing against the bolt when you seat the mag and all the rounds are still held securely in the helical guides. Otherwise you can just cut a safety notch to lock the bolt back and load that way.
I highly recommend the triangle brace from SB, I have one on my ruger charger and it is absolutely as usable as an actual stock IMO. At least on low powered guns.
Hello, the original "bison" is a weird weapon, the main problem is in its magazine, so it began to be produced with a box magazine, but this did not help.
If I remember this correctly, someone on AK Files or Reddit actually paid someone from Russia to send over the parts to a Bizon through customs by hiding the demilled parts in boxes filled with snacks. I remembered the guy uploading a photo of a trunnion at the bottom of box of something that looked like cereal. The guy planned to work with a gunsmith to essentially take measurements of these parts and mass produce them State side to be sold as kits. The gunsmith that was responsible for taking measurements and developing them to blueprints did a double cross when he agreed to exclusively work with Larry Vickers when Vickers reached out to him, and ended up ghosting the original dude that was responsible for receiving the parts. As a result, Vickers was the first person State side to have one of these newly produced (albeit small batch produced) Bizons assembled from one of these kits.
0:56 A Bison is not a Buffalo. They are completely different. Bison have shaggy type fur with very small vertical horns. Buffalo, which are not indigenous to North America have very short hair with long sweeping horns. Bison are usually brown while Buffalos are black.
this is a very cool clone.. I still want to get one of there ARV 9mm think I would like a build kit and to run a gentle recoil system in in would be fun toy/ maybe even a competition gun.
Flat nose didn’t work for me. They were 124 gr. But it was the nose profile. Removing material from the feed lip may help but to me that is the weakest point in the mag so I will just shoot pointed 115. Fmj
Helical magazines is a great idea, but very hard to make right. The first I know tried it was the Calico, but they are known to be problematic. At least that's the "common" knowledge. What I like about them is a low profile and high capacity. But as shown there are negatives, such as the slow loading and the number of parts needed to make it work. But no matter how temperamental they might be the idea of a high capacity magazine that compact is very tempting. I also have a fascination for quad stack magazines. But if helical magazines are tough to make dependable then quad stack magazines are darn right evil. I think I remember that there is one quad stack box magazine that is said to be reliable, but I can't remember wehere I heard that or what weapon it was that they made it for. Still a 50 round box magazine would be pretty awesome. But that's only if it works.
This is one of my favorite weapons in DayZ. In the game, it uses .380 APC. With a suppressor, it's a top rate zombie killer, LOL. Going to check out how much PSA wants for one.
I've seen Bizon 9x18 at our local range here in Russia. I can't get my hands on it, cause it's always reserved 😢 The gun is awesome and there are some 9x19 9x18 that were handed to police along with old Kedr SMGs. Somehow military and police units love Vityaz more. 🤷♂️ BTW, your pronunciation of Bizon and Vityaz is totally ok 👌
I’m not really a big 9 mm rifle or AR 15 pistol fan . I might have to try it with some more enthusiasm just because Ammo prices . I don’t know it just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe the right Gun I just haven’t seen it yet.
I wish they would do something like this conversion kit for either the b&t APC9 or GHM9. Sure it would require them to make a new lower but the b&t guns are made to be able to use all sorts of lowers. Also wish someone would make a Colt mag lower for the b&t guns since i have a couple hundred factory Colt and duramags
Drinkin that garbage ain't to good for ya. We are gettin older, the heart isnt gonna keep likin those energy drinks. Thank for always being on top of the industry mac
ak-v is better vs the bizon conversion... unless you just want a "bizon" the ak-v from PSA will be good sturdy and cheap 35 round scorpion mags which cost only 16 bucks and you get a last round bolt hold open and its stupid reliable as a ak-v...see his mud test videos.
I've done a video on how to use iron sights, but I'm really not a trainer and I don't want to present myself as one. I would be glad to do a video on how I personally view marksmanship, if anyone would care to watch it.
It absolutely sucks that K-USA started putting out guns with poor QC and then went defunct. They had so much potential to rule the American AK market if they didn't slack on QC
My Komrad’s forend was screwed on but it’s great now.
It wasn’t so much their QC as much as their wasting cash on fancy offices and trappings rather than concentrating on just responsibly growing the company.
There not defunct.
lol QC didn’t take them under. It didn’t help but spending took them down. They outsourced way too much plus frivolous spending.
They weren't special. Whoever can make American AKs with fair prices and good QC could rule the American market. They couldn't do either.
Fyi, the American bison and European bison are different animals
Only the American ones matter though. 😀 Thanks for watching.
There are no native buffalo in the Americas. Buffalo are a semi-aquatic bovine from Asia.
@@fixyourmindThat's my porn name.
Exactly, you beat me to it😂 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_bison
@Militaryarmschannel FYI RUclips has totally suppressed your channel from my feed, I forgot you existed.

This was one of the best guns in the syphon filter game series. If you know, you know.
Someone needs to bring back the Calico!
Company still exists, based out of Oregon. My local FFL had one on consignment 2 weeks ago, and I was messing with it- pretty wild gun. Google search will find you the company website and info!
yup, my favorite "futuristic weapon" of the scifi b-movies of the 70s-till today :-D
They are back in business, look up their website
What do you mean "bring back"?! It never went anywhere...

@LarryWasupsky mine runs flawless
I'd love to see more conversations like this. I'd love to get one of these.
Taylor McWhirter of LM Ironwerks is diligently working on a release of a true bizon.
Great video Tim. I have a KP9 that I bought some time ago and love the platform.
Wrap some hockey tape around the middle of the magazine for extra grip.
Just got my kit and got it fitted on my NAK-9!!
one of my favorites in battlefield 2
I love that you tell people that it’s perfectly okay to buy a gun because it’s fun to shoot. I have several whimsical firearms that aren’t “Go to war” guns, and they’re among my favorites in the collection. Who carries a Boberg XR9-L anymore?
My kit is on order for the century, I'm so hyped thanks for the over view before i get hands on
I have one of these and love it! I preordered it as soon as it was announced.
Tim you could be a great Gunsmith if you want to, humble to say you are not mechanically oriented, but I disagree you are very smart, I been watching your channel for 10 years and many times you showed your talents with the tools that we like, thanks a lot. Always thumbs to M.A.C.
Thanks man, but I lack the patience necessary to be a good mechanic or gunsmith. I get easily frustrated.
Very cool! Thank you!
On my Bucket list range sessions
I think having the mag up is the higher way to go with how AK's feed. If you have to open the bolt so be it. Keep in mind same way the MP5 works you cant load a full mag with the bolt closed.
Yeah that is annoying on MP5s. You gotta download the mags by 2 rounds to do it.
Cool thing about this is you could probably use paintball pod pouches to hold the magazines.
Respect ✊🏻
Back in October there was a guy walking around a gun show in rural Michigan with one of these on his back. I'm pretty sure I was the only one there that knew what it was.
A Call of Duty classic. Very very cool! 😎
It’s a neat idea. I just don’t have quite enough sentimental attachment to go with it.
I think you should've used your Franklin Armory binary trigger that you used to have installed in the akv9 . You know the atf nut kicker. And then tested the Bizon kit at speed.
Is Stuff and Things next door to Food and Stuff? Ron Swanson never mentioned it! 😉

Yes! More please very cool!
Love it! Like to see more for sure!!
You keep coming out with this weird stuff! Keep it going! I will look into this 4-sure.
I love this. Oddly reminiscent of the defunct Calico. I would love one of these as a pistol variant for a PDW range toy. I hope, like many, the SBR stuff ends in the next couple of years. A no reload home PDW is really relevant here in Aurora.
Did they reform your mag limit laws? The shootings were justified, but you’re still going to jail.
That is a sweet way to get a historical firearm.
I also SBR'd my KP9 I've done alot to it,probably wouldn't do this to it.But may get the psa version when it's more available.
this thing is so awesome. I will need to pick one up at some point
I hope PSA makes a factory made Bizon with everything already good to go out of the box
They already announced they’ll be selling already made ones direct from PSA coming soon, only problem is the wait
It’s the third latest RUclips short on PSAs channel
Yeah it’s already announced as happening, just waiting for the actual drop
If they do it will be a trash product like all their other AKs.
If PSA puts these out as one of the options on the akv ready to go i would definitely buy one, the mags are expensive but having that much 9mm potentially +p+ on tap would be more than enough for a pdw without requiring a reload in really any defensive role
I like it, definitely cool. My state sucks though, not legal here.
Those are both awesome!

Ahh... ok, so my kids will have to be ok with no Christmas gift this year...
Waiting for the next video with the Franklin armory device for the ultimate fun gun.
I agree as well, have some fun with your guns
How does it 80s hip fire?
1:15 i hope they make those kits for other calibers to make it easier
If I remember this correctly, someone on AK Files or Reddit actually paid someone from Russia to send over the parts to a Bizon through customs by hiding the demilled parts in boxes filled with snacks. Nothing wrong with adjusting jeep alignment with a pipewrench.
Please do a review of the PSA JAKl bullpup conversion kit. The pistol variant with the 8in barrel is about the length of a FNP90
Id just get the triangle folding brace i honestly think with the bit of give it has that it is better than the actual triangle stock i have
Cutting a bho notch in the safety makes loading a lot easier.
I would need a speed loader to ever buy one of these. But dang is it cool!
Amazingly cool.
Clones are cool. Yes it’s ok to have “just for fun guns” you don’t need to have an aimpoint optic on every gun
Always wanted one
I DIG THAT!
My favorite smg in codm 😂
I was wondering what my next gun would be. Now I know.
Flat nose didn’t work for me. They were 124 gr. But it was the nose profile. Removing material from the feed lip may help but to me that is the weakest point in the mag so I will just shoot pointed 115. Fmj
I can see why it was replaced, try to reload that magazine under stress.
Are you able to install an FRT
Yes I like things like this

Its a cool conversion but if the Russian military stopped using it whats the point?
I'll keep my KUSA KP 9 as it came from the factory.
If I had the money to waste then yes I would. I would love to see something like that as a military and civil type of weapon .
Full auto would be cool
As a Russian speaker I can't help but giggle at your French sounding pronunciation. Carry on, sir!
Jason said the same thing. Haha.
I wish they made a drum mag for the AKV
This is one of my favorite weapons in DayZ. In the game, it uses .380 APC. With a suppressor, it's a top rate zombie killer, LOL. Going to check out how much PSA wants for one.
Looks like a PSA AK V 9 plus the kit comes out to around $1400 or so. Not bad.
Very interesting
"Of course!"
Im interested in seeing if one of those new forced reset triggers for AK's would work with this thing
thats super dope!
The Bizon wasnt the beszon for a sub. The Vityaz is the Bityaz of subs.

I noticed that there is no last round hold open with that magazine. The AKV is designed for last round hold open.
That’s because it’s not using a CZ type magazine.
