Given that these zombies are your typical undead ones, they'd never be able to over power the US or really and decently strong nation. If militaries are capable of taking on other militaries that are fully armed with guns, tanks, aircraft, ect; they'd be fully capable of handling walking corpses.

Tbh I genuinely can't even imagine a zombie apocalypse occurring. Or anything even close to it. Especially since they're slow moving, aswell as not having any weapons. Military has weapons that can chew people apart, and dismember them with the caliber of bullets said weapons use. So if some kind of zombie infection started, I honestly don't think it would last very long
